It had been reported that characteristics of the physical properties of Goto beef were compared with frozen beef and another beef produced in Nagasaki prefecture. In this report, the relationship between sensory evaluations and physicochemical properties in the cooked beef and in the extractliquid is observed. The cooked beef was prepared by heating round beef to medium on the hotplate. The extract-liquid was prepared by boiling round beef for 2 hrs. Physicochemical properties of the extract-liquid such as acidity, color characteristics, total extractive, inorganic extractive, organic extractive, total-N, proteide-N, formol-N, free amino acid, succinic acid, lactic acid,5'-AMP and 5'-IMP were measured.<br>The results obtained were as follows:<br>1) Extract-liquid of Goto beef showed better taste, mildness and savory aroma.<br>2) Total extractive, organic extractive, total-N, proteide-N, formol-N, in the extract-liquid were a little higher than those of the another beef and those of the frozen beef were the highest.<br>3) Total content of free amino acid and succinic acid in the extract-liquid were lower than those of frozen beef but the 5'-IMP was higher than that of frozen beef.<br>4) Significant multiple regression coefficients of physicochemical properties obtained from three kinds of cooked beef were: tenderness (p<0.01), elasticity (p<0.01), juiciness (p<0.05), taste (p<0.01), aroma (p<0.01), and overall palatability (p<0.01).<br>5) The physicochemical properties of the extract-liquid were not evaluated by regression analysis.

The patient was a 21-year-old man who acquired unilateral deafness while he was exposed to extremely loud sound of discotheque for about 4 hours.<br> His hearing type was of a dish, with a mean hearing loss of slightly over 50 dB in the middle frequencies. He was positive for recruitment phenomenon. No abnormal temporary threshold tone decay could be observed. He received treatment for approximately 2 months with slight improvement in hearing. Only 10 dB was elevated in frequencies of 500 Hz or below during treatment.<br> He had no subjective symptoms such as vertigo, dizziness and giddiness, nor any abnormal findings in equilibrium tests.<br> He was diagnosed as noise-induced sudden deafness caused by the sound of discotheque.

This paper is a part of the study on the acceptance of the French Architecture theories and the educational methods in Modern Japan. It focuses on Abel Jean-Louis Guérineau (1841-1929), French architect who received architectural education at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was employed by the Imperial Japanese Army academy (Riku-gun-shikan- gakkou) as professor of architecture design and drawing between April 11, 1874 and June 30, 1880. Firstly, the role of Guérineau is examined in the context of "military architecture" in Japan. Secondly, the role of Guérineau is examined as leading person of Japanese architectural culture in France.

We examined whether multidrug resistant (MDR) canine lymphoma increases gene expression for platelet-derived growth factor receptor α (PDGFRα), vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), and c-KIT, and whether toceranib phosphate (TOC) has potential as a treatment for MDR canine lymphoma. The clinical data showed that PDGFRα expression was higher in canine subjects with MDR T-cell lymphoma than in those with untreated T-cell lymphoma, and that c-KIT expression was greater in subjects with T-cell lymphoma than in those with B-cell lymphoma. TOC monotherapy was well tolerated without serious adverse effects, and two of the five subjects that received TOC exhibited partial responses. The data presented here could contribute to the assessment of TOC-based therapy for dogs with MDR or T-cell lymphoma.

本報告では,管楽器アンサンブル奏者が自分たちの好みと希望に合わせた編曲楽譜を自動生成・支援するシステムを目的として,メロディ構造や各楽器の演奏難易度に基づいて入力メロディのパートを分配する問題を経路探索問題として定めた.伴奏・副旋律を生成する手法と組み合わせた編曲システムを実装し,得られた楽譜を用いて,アンサンブル演奏者による主観評価を実施した.評価結果を元に今後の課題と展望について考察する.

膵癌の酵素学的診断法を確立する目的で,DIPN 500mg/kgをgolden syrian hamsterの皮下に毎週注射することにより実験膵癌を作成した.実験膵癌の組織型は全て人膵癌類似のDuctal cell腺癌を示した.DIPN注射後,12,16,20,22,25週と経時的に採血し,血清中並びに膵組織中のRNase(Poly U, Poly C, Poly A, Poly G)を測定すると,全例膵癌の観察された25週にはPoly Uaseの上昇を認め,経時的なRNase測定により膵癌診断の指標となることが示唆された.

In recent years, the growing density and complexity of VLSIs have led to an increase in the numbers of test patterns and fault models. Test patterns used in VLSI testing are required to provide high quality and low cost. Don't care (X) identification techniques and X-filling techniques are methods to satisfy these requirements. However, conventional X-identification techniques are less effective for application-specific fields such as test compaction because the X-bits concentrate on particular primary inputs and pseudo primary inputs. In this paper, we propose a don't care identification method for test compaction. The experimental results for ITC'99 and ISCAS'89 benchmark circuits show that a given test set can be efficiently compacted by the proposed method.

触図とは,紙などの台紙の表面に凹凸を付けることで,触って理解できる図のことである.視覚に障害を持つ学生が数学や理科を学習する際,触図の利用は必要であるが,触図の作成は簡単作業ではないため,盲学校では必ずしも効果的に触図が利用されているとは限らない.このため,教科書などに印刷された数学グラフを自動的に触図に変換するシステムは触図作成の簡素化に有効である.このようなシステム開発には,数学グラフの認識が必須となる.本文では,数学グラフの認識手法に述べる.特に,破線で描かれたグラフの抽出方法について述べる.また,開発した手法の有効性を計算機実験によって評価する.
