During the 20th century, Japanese society experienced dramatic demographic changes accompanied by shifts in the epidemiological and health-related domains. During this demographic transition, mortality rates have declined, life expectancy has increased, and fertility rates have declined. Since 2008, the population has decreased and is expected to continue decreasing, with a higher average age. These changes are associated with shifts in the distribution of employment opportunities ; in the composition of households ; and in the balance between rural and urban populations, in favor of the latter, with jobs moving from the agricultural sector to manufacturing and service industries. Lifestyles have changed, social bonds have weakened, and the economic gap between generations and genders has increased. These changes have challenged society's ability to provide adequate and financially sustainable medical and nursing services while also reducing the potential environmental burden on future generations. The close relationship between demographic and social changes underlying this transition renders it difficult to mitigate the effects of future aging and shrinking of the Japanese population. Indeed, to develop strategies for the post-transition reality, various scenarios related to the population dynamics of the future must be examined. To this end, we suggest replacing the concept of chronological age with one of biological and societal age. Biological age can be represented by life-expectancy-equivalent age or by healthy life-expectancy-equivalent age, and societal age can be represented by age-structure-equivalent age. A healthy aging population should be promoted by developing sound relations between health and the natural, man-made, and societal environment.

A domestic cat dwelling in a dairy cattle farm with haematuria was referred for a physical examination. The examination showed no abnormalities therefore complementary exams were performed. Leukocytosis with neutrophilia, monocytosis and hyperproteinaemia were detected. The urine analysis showed a bacterial infection without ultrasound findings. Serological titers to Leptospira interrogans serovar Pomona and Autumnalis were detected. Molecular analysis demonstrated the presence of Leptospira spp. in urine. The findings were consistent with subclinical leptospirosis. The cattle herd had evidence of Leptospira infection. The microbiological exams confirmed the presence of the Leptospira spp. in urine and serum. According to the evidence presented in this study, cats that dwell within a dairy farm could play a role in the Leptospira infection epidemiologically. The importance of feline leptospirosis must be evaluated with leptospirosis control in livestock.

目的&emsp;既存の資料に記載されている乳幼児体力手帳制度,妊産婦手帳制度,母子手帳制度,母子健康手帳制度の政策意図などを整理し,各手帳制度の公衆衛生行政上の意義について考察することである。 方法&emsp;厚生省関係通知,関連書籍,および妊産婦手帳制度等の企画立案に従事された瀬木三雄氏の著作物等により,各手帳制度の政策意図などを整理,検討する。 結果&emsp;(1)乳幼児体力手帳制度:根拠は国民体力法(1942年改正)。1945年度まで実施。乳幼児体力検査受診者に手帳を交付。保健医療従事者が記載した記録を当事者が携帯,その後の保健指導等に役立てた。(2)妊産婦手帳制度:根拠は妊産婦手帳規程(1942年)。妊娠した者が医師または助産婦の証明書を付して地方長官に届出(義務)をすることにより手帳を交付。保健医療従事者が記載した健診等の記録を当事者が携帯,その後の保健指導等に役立てた。一定の妊産保健情報を提供。妊産育児に必要な物資の配給手帳としても利用。(3)母子手帳制度:根拠は児童福祉法(1948年)。(2)を拡充し乳幼児まで対象。手帳交付手続き等は基本的に(2)と同様。乳幼児を対象とした一定の保健情報も追加。配給手帳としての運用は1953年 3 月まで。(4)母子健康手帳制度:根拠は母子保健法(1966年)。妊娠の届出は勧奨(医師等の証明書は不要)とされた。当事者による記録の記載が明確化,また様々な母子保健情報が追加された。 結論&emsp;各手帳制度の公衆衛生行政上の意義について次のとおり考える。(1)母子保健対象者の把握:乳幼児体力手帳制度以外すべて,(2)妊産婦を早期に義務として医療に結びつけること:妊産婦手帳制度,母子手帳制度,(3)保健医療従事者および当事者が記載した各種記録を当事者が携帯し,その後の的確な支援等に結びつけること:基本的にすべての手帳制度(当事者による記録の記載は母子健康手帳制度で明確化),(4)当事者•家族による妊産婦•乳幼児の健康管理を促すこと:①保健医療従事者が記載した各種記録を当事者が保持;すべての手帳制度,②母子保健情報の提供;乳幼児体力手帳制度以外すべて,③当事者による記録の記載;母子健康手帳制度で明確化,(5)配給手帳として母子栄養を維持すること:妊産婦手帳制度,母子手帳制度。   以上のことから,わが国の手帳制度は,戦時下において主に父権的制度として制定され,その後の社会情勢の変化や保健医療体制の整備などに伴い,当事者の自発的な健康管理を期待する制度へと成熟していったと考えられる。

This paper traces the transition of the thatched vernacular house in Shinshu area from the medieval to the post-medieval. It targets the post between the ridge and the beam in Sasu-gumi which is one of the roof truss structures. The post tends to be seen in the upper class's house during the initial stage of the post-medieval era. The post probably comes from the post called Munamochi-bashira which can independently stand from the earth directly to the ridge in the medieval vernacular house. The paper concludes that the post forms important links which are missed between them.

20世紀初頭にイタリアで興隆したピアノ伴奏付独唱歌曲は従来、事典項目や音楽通史においていささか表面的に「ドイツ・リートの影響下で」確立したジャンルとされてきた。しかしその影響関係は、実際の響きや音楽形式からも、このジャンルに取り組んだ作曲家たちや詩人たちの創作活動からも、けっして自明ではない。そこで本論文は、両者の関係性を問い直した上で、このジャンルに対するドイツの影響を指摘しようと試みる。

EU-NATO関係は「死に体」と化していると言われる。そうであるとするならば、いつ、どのようにしてそうなったのだろうか。冷戦後、EUが安全保障政策分野に乗り出したことで、NATOとの競合の種は蒔かれていた。しかしながら、ベルリン・プラス合意策定によって競合は回避され、分業と協調の欧州・大西洋安全保障ガバナンスの枠組みが構築されるかに見えた。本論は、ソマリア沖海賊対策作戦に焦点を当てながら2008-2012年のEU-NATO関係の転機について分析するものである。
