社交不安症(障害)(SAD)は,社会的状況に対する過度でコントロールできない恐怖または不安が生じ,そのためそのような状況を回避し,著しい社会機能障害を呈する不安症である。本稿では,SADの薬物療法について,最近の知見を中心に述べる。メタ解析やRCTによるエビデンスによると,SADの薬物療法としては,SSRIとSNRI, そしてRIMAがプラセボに比し有意に効果があるとされている。しかしながらわが国ではRIMAは使用できない。また最近承認され,SADに最もエビデンスがあるSNRIであるベンラファキシンもSADへの保険適応がないことから,わが国でのSADの薬物療法の中心は,現時点ではSSRIとなろう。

洋上風力発電施設のオペレーション,タンカーの港への入港判断,フェリーの運航判断,マリンレジャーの計画等に利用可能な風と波浪の予測情報の予測・表示システムを開発した.予測情報は,リードタイム,予測期間,利用目的によって予測値の利用価値が決まる.洋上風力発電施設のオペレーション・アンド・メンテナンスの工程計画には1週間先,ケーソン据付等の港湾・海洋工事に対しては3~4日先,海水浴,サーフィン,ヨット等の海浜・海域利用では2~3日先の情報が必要であるので,それらに応じた予測情報を得られるようにしたシステム開発を行った.

At present, a floating type wind farm project located offshore Kabashima Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, is being performed. The present paper examined the validity of wind and wave predictions by statistically comparing predicted values with measured data recorded at the project site. The wind and wave prediction system is an integration of individually developed GFS-WRF-SWAN and GFS-HAGPV-SWAN prediciton systems. Satisfactorily good agreement between prediction and observation was found when evaluationg the indicies of correlation coefficient, root mean square error, and Brier score. The prediction system is shown to be useful for obtaining vital offshore wind and wave information.

Investigating several environmental factors affecting plant growth implies having sound experimental facilities equipped to test individual factors in lab-scale although applicable later at the industrial scale. Sometimes, detailed information is hardly given in a manuscript that allows for replications by other authors, maybe due to the shortening of pages requested by journal publishers and editors. A system and methodology was developed for qualitative and quantitative analyses of baby leaf vegetables (BLV) raised in floating growing systems (FGS). Lab-scale pilot plants (LSPP) were developed in 2 greenhouses differing in structure and equipment, suitable for different growing seasons in a continental climate. The equipment and technology allowed multiple treatments and replicates for sound statistical design and data analyses. Environmental conditions and cultural techniques were studied in major and minor species (white mustard, Brassica alba L. Boiss; black mustard, Brassica nigra L. Koch; garden cress, Lepidium sativum L.; water cress, Nasturtium officinale R. Br.; rocket salad, Eruca sativa Mill.; perennial wild rocket, Diplotaxis tenuifolia L. DC.; corn salad, Valerianella olitoria L.; baby spinach, Spinacia oleracea L.) to determine best cultivation techniques in a standard soilless culture system (SCS) for BLV, based on FGS. Considering that SCS can improve raw material quality at harvest, and enhance the postharvest shelf-life of many vegetables and herbs, a standardized growing system is required to obtain premium quality raw material in terms of commercial stage, low nitrate content and long shelf-life. Among the SCS used, the FGS are suitable systems to grow leafy vegetables because the plants can grow at high densities, thereby producing high yields, and in a short time. FGS are based on sub-irrigation technology, avoiding over-head irrigation and contact between nutrient solution and edible parts, and result in greater qualitative and quantitative yields than the traditional cultivation techniques, reducing pollution, crop and substrate residues, leading to clean raw material with potential low microbiological load. The FGS is a modern technology that could be exploited more to enhance yield, quality and safety of fresh and fresh-cut BLV. The LSPP installed are providing the basis for expanding the research to other species and agronomic factors.

Explanation is given about a rational method to evaluate tornado-borne missile speed, flight distance and flight height to be used for safety design of a nuclear power plant. In the method, the authors employed Fujita's DBT-77 model as a tornado wind model to take the near-ground tornado wind profile into account. A liftoff model of an object on the ground was developed by conservatively modeling the lift force due to ground effect. The wind field model and the liftoff model have been compiled together with a conventional flight model into a computer code, named TONBOS. In this study, especially, the code is verified for one- and two-dimensional free-fall problems as well as a case of 1957 Dallas tornado wind field model, whose solutions are theoretically or numerically known. Finally, the code is validated by typical car behaviors characterized by tornado wind speeds of the enhanced Fujita scale, as well as by an actual event where a truck was blown away by a tornado which struck a part of the town of Saroma, Hokkaido in November, 2006.

Spent nuclear fuel assemblies are stored in the cask with the necessary protective function during the spent fuel transportation or storage. The structural integrity of the fuel rods for the impact load caused by cask mishandling drop accident has to be evaluated to realize more economical and safe operation. However, the experiments for the spent fuel rods accompany many of difficulties and the available experimental data is limited. Hence, the numerical simulation is useful method to predict and evaluate the dynamic response of the fuel rods. This paper deals with the dynamic response of the spent fuel rods under side drop condition. One spacer span of the fuel rod of the undermost layer during side drop is analyzed by finite element method (LS-DYNA). The fuel rod was held between the upper and lower spacers. In the numerical model, the fixed rigid base and the drop weight were connected to the lower and upper spacers, respectively. The numerical analyses were carried out by varying the impact speed of the drop weight and the spacer plate size. Further, the cases of entire drop, in which both the drop weight and fuel rod have the same impact speed, and weight drop, in which only the weight collides with the spent fuel rod placed on the rigid wall were also analyzed. It is found that the fuel pellet and cladding tube reached their yield stresses near the impact point even for the lowest impact speed (2.4m/s) regardless of the spacer size and drop conditions. The plastic region of the pellets is limited within one pellet and the corner part of the neighboring pellet even for the highest impact speed (13.3m/s). The deflection of the fuel rod increased from impact point to the end of the fuel rod in the entire drop condition, but it was limited near the impact point in the weight drop condition. Therefore, the weight drop condition may underestimate the deformation or damage of the spent fuel rod compared to the entire drop condition.

京都市の公園形成史を取りまとめた論文はまだ作成されていない。ここでは、旧都市計画法制定以前の公園としては京都府・市管理のものは、わずかに4公園であったことと、それらの公園の概要の紹介を行い、次に大正~昭和初期の用地確保が園難な状況で臨機応変に代用公園の設置を行ったこと、昭和初期の京都市の都市像は「田舎に京あり」ということで風致や緑地保存の重要性が認識されてきたことを概観する。また、昭和9年にまとめられた「京都市の都市環境とその改善策に就いて」(高田景)により、児童遊園設置の必要性の整理や上地区画整理事業における児童遊園設置基準について紹介する。京都市の児童公園は市周辺部の土地区画整理事業の進展によって大きく進展したのである。一方、市内については皇太子誕生を記念事業を挺にして、児童公園整備を行ったことを明らかにする。さらに、わが国で最初に受益者負担金制度を導入して整備された船岡山公園について受益者に対する負担方法について紹介するものである。

The compilation of the Dainihonteikoku Kendo-Kata has undergone 3 stages of “Sketch-Draft-Codification. ” In this paper, the original texts of these stages are compared and scrutinized concerning when, what and how amendments were added, and furthermore tendencies in the nature of the amendments were discussed, as well as its implications.In the evolution from the sketch to the draft, it seems the chief investigators and the investigators had question-and-answer sessions and exchanged views, and then, based on the results the chief investigators, re-examined the sketch to make amendments.For the purpose of organizing a unified Teikoku-Kendo-Kata transcending schools, organizing work is thought to have been encouraged by placing special emphasis on the basic concept, overall picture and comprehensive constitution of the Teikoku-Kendo-Kata. In addition, because it was governed by the chief investigators' mastery of the art of kendo, theory on techniques, and profound perception of the Teikoku-Kendo-Kata, the details of the sketch were not regarded as matters of particular importance. Consequently, in the work from the sketch to the draft, the Kodachi-Kata was settled on as not to be amended, and a total of 17 items, including 2 of the basic,5 of Tachiai and 10 of Tachi-Kata, as items to be amended.From the draft to the codification, through the deliberations of the Teikoku-Kendo-Kata Investigation Committee,6 amendments were adopted at first. Afterwards, as a result of the chief investigators' and the investigators' practicing the Teikoku-Kendo-Kata, minor differences became regarded as problems and amendments were added owing to the necessity of having more precise explanation for the sake of instruction. Finally, in the process of progression from the draft to codification, amendments were added for the first time to the Kodachi-Kata, and a total of 27 amendment items, containing 4 of the basic,4 of Tachiai,12 of Tachi-Kata and 7 of Kodachi-Kata items plus 6 items by the Teikoku-Kendo-Kata Investigation Committee's decisions, were added before release of the codification by the management office of the Butoku-Kai.

Since the discovery of channelrhodopsins in 2002-2003, the light is now engineered to manipulate physiological states of a cell, a tissue or a body with the progress of three kinds of researches: (1) molecular biology of photoreceptive proteins, (2) cause-effect relationships in the biological system and (3) fabrication of opto-electronics or nanodevices. The near-infrared light, which conveys energy deep into the tissues, is expected to be used for optogenetics with the creation of proteins that change their conformations with such energy or the improvement of nanodevices that transfer the energy to photoreceptive proteins.

We evaluated the efficacy and safety of switching to insulin degludec (IDeg) from insulin glargine (IGlar) as basal-bolus therapy in young people with type 1 diabetes. The subjects were 36 patients, 21.3±1.0 years of age, with type 1 diabetes. IGlar had previously been injected once daily in 25 patients and twice daily in 11. They were then switched from IGlar to once-daily injection of IDeg. Both fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and HbA1c levels decreased significantly from 134±3.9 mg/dL and 7.9±0.2% at baseline to 116±2.2 mg/dL and 7.4±0.2% at 12 months after starting IDeg (P<0.0001 and P=<0.001, respectively). Overall and nocturnal hypoglycemia (PG<70 mg/dL) frequencies also decreased significantly from 4.9±0.7 and 2.0±0.3 times/month to 2.4±0.3 and 0.4±0.1 times/month at 12 months after starting IDeg (P=<0.005 and P<0.0005, respectively). The daily basal insulin dose was significantly reduced from 0.48±004 units/kg/day at baseline to 0.38±0.0.3 units/kg/day at the end of the study period (P<0.0001), which corresponded to 79.2% of the baseline value. Trends were similar in patients receiving the once-daily injection and those given twice-daily injections, but basal-insulin value reductions from baseline were more marked in patients receiving twice-daily injections of basal insulin (76.0% vs. 82.6% of the baseline value). These results suggest that switching from IGlar to an appropriate dose of IDeg may effectively control hyperglycemia while reducing the frequency of hypoglycemia episodes in young Japanese people with type 1 diabetes.

A 10-year-old female spayed mixed breed cat with a subcutaneous mass on the right hind limb-was revealed with bimodal monoclonal gammopathy composed of IgA by immunoelectrophoresis and immunofixation. Approximately 1 month after referral, the cat died due to renal failure. Postmortem immunohistopathologic evaluation of the subcutaneous mass revealed neoplastic cell proliferation of plasma cells and giant myeloma cells. Neoplastic cells were also present in the liver and spleen. These results led to the diagnosis of a rare case of feline myeloma-related disorders with extramedullary plasmacytoma infiltrating in multiple locations. This report emphasizes the necessity to accumulate cases with similar clinicopathologic findings in the future.

It has been recently reported that the centrosome of neurons does not have microtubule nucleating activity. Microtubule nucleation requires γ-tubulin as well as its recruiting proteins, GCP-WD/NEDD1 and CDK5RAP2 that anchor γ-tubulin to the centrosome. Change in the localization of these proteins during in vivo development of brain, however, has not been well examined. In this study we investigate the localization of γ-tubulin, GCP-WD and CDK5RAP2 in developing cerebral and cerebellar cortex with immunofluorescence. We found that γ-tubulin and its recruiting proteins were localized at centrosomes of immature neurons, while they were lost at centrosomes in mature neurons. This indicated that the loss of microtubule nucleating activity at the centrosome of neurons is due to the loss of γ-tubulin-recruiting proteins from the centrosome. RT-PCR analysis revealed that these proteins are still expressed after birth, suggesting that they have a role in microtubule generation in cell body and dendrites of mature neurons. Microtubule regrowth experiments on cultured mature neurons showed that microtubules are nucleated not at the centrosome but within dendrites. These data indicated the translocation of microtubule-organizing activity from the centrosome to dendrites during maturation of neurons, which would explain the mixed polarity of microtubules in dendrites.

The clinical utility of plasma natriuretic peptide concentrations in dogs with right-sided congestive heart failure (CHF) remains unclear. We investigated whether plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and N-terminal pro B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) are useful for assessing the congestive signs of right-sided heart failure in dogs. This retrospective study enrolled 16 healthy dogs and 51 untreated dogs with presence (n=28) or absence (n=23) of right-sided CHF. Medical records of physical examinations, thoracic radiography, and echocardiography were reviewed. The plasma concentration of canine ANP was measured with a chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay. Plasma NT-proBNP concentrations were determined using an enzyme immunoassay. Plasma ANP and NT-proBNP concentrations in dogs with right-sided CHF were significantly higher than in healthy controls and those without right-sided CHF. The plasma NT-proBNP concentration >3,003 pmol/l used to identify right-sided CHF had a sensitivity of 88.5% and specificity of 90.3%. An area under the ROC curve (AUC) was 0.93. The AUC for NT-proBNP was significantly higher than the AUCs for the cardiothoracic ratio, vertebral heart score, ratio of right ventricular end-diastolic internal diameter to body surface area, tricuspid late diastolic flow, and ratio of the velocities of tricuspid early to late diastolic flow. These results suggest that plasma ANP and NT-proBNP concentrations increase markedly in dogs with right-sided CHF. Particularly, NT-proBNP is simple and helpful biomarkers to assess the right-sided CHF.

Background: Lymphocytes are susceptible to damage from radiation, and the white blood cell (WBC) count, including counts of neutrophils and lymphocytes, is a useful method of dosimetry. According to the basic survey of the Fukushima Health Management Survey (FHMS), among 13 localities where evacuation was recommended, Iitate and Namie had more individuals with external radiation exposure of more than 5 mSv than the other evacuation areas. We analyzed whether or not WBC, neutrophil, and lymphocyte counts decreased after the disaster.Methods: The subjects of this study were 45 278 men and women aged 20 to 99 years (18 953 men and 26 325 women; mean age 56 years) in the evacuation zone who participated in the Comprehensive Health Check (CHC) from June 2011 to the end of March 2012.Results: Significant differences were detected in the mean values of WBC, neutrophil, and lymphocyte counts, and for the proportion of individuals under the minimum standard for WBC and neutrophil counts, among the 13 localities. However, the distribution of individuals at each 200-cell/µL increment in lymphocyte count were similar in these areas, and the WBC, neutrophil, and lymphocyte counts did not decrease in Iitate or Namie specifically.Conclusions: No marked effects of radiation exposure on the distribution of WBC counts, including neutrophil and lymphocyte counts were detected within one year after the disaster in the evacuation zone.
