BS朝日では2001年9月からレギュラー番組で5.1ch放送を開始した。5.1ch放送では視聴者の多くが2chのダウンミックスされた音声で視聴する事が多い。番組制作に際しては5.1chスピーカーシステムでの視聴のみならず、ダウンミックスされた音声での視聴も十分考慮しなければならない。また音声モード切替時に無音時間が発生する。5.1ch放送について、これまで社内で検証した内容を報告する。

Tef (Eragrostis tef) is one of the world’s minor small-grained cereals. It is domesticated in northeastearn Africa and still cultivated as a food crop almost exclusively in Ethiopia and Eritrea. However, it is the major crop in these countries, because, despite its low yield per area, which is less than half that of maize, it is cultivated over a larger area than any other crop. Moreover, its cultivation in Ethiopia has increased in area substantially in recent decades. The significance of this cereal is difficult to understand from the perspective of modern agronomy, which privileges high yield, and raises the question why tef is important in this area. This article addresses this question by examining the case of the Malo people, among whom the author has conducted anthropological research. About 80,000 Malo farmers inhabit a steep mountainous area in southwestern Ethiopia that ranges in elevation between ca 1,000–3,000 meters above sea level (asl). Tef, which is currently sown as a dominant cereal in the lowlands between 1,000 and 2,000 meters asl, is cultivated using several unique techniques, which suggests that it was not introduced recently. However, according to local memory, the current landscape of its widespread cultivation is relatively new and has been estimated as less than 50 years. Several factors such as the introduction of cassava and other new crops in the lowlands have contributed to the recent increase in its cultivation. However, the largest contributor to the increase may be the adoption of the spongy sour pancake made from the cereal as its main material, which is an Ethiopian national dish commonly known as injera, as a local diet, following the Ethiopian Revolution in the mid-1970s, and its popularity among the people. Thus, the case of the Malo exemplifies a dynamics of development whereby food and agriculture are closely connected.

In the era of big data, personal information has been widely shared and used, which facilitates personal life, social production and public management but also brings the risk of personal information abuse.Personal information has multiple values involving with personality dignity and freedom, economic use, and public management. Meanwhile, the stakeholders relevant to personal information have become more and more diverse, leading to increasingly urgent demand for sharing and using personal information. With the great improvements in the processing efficiency and transmission rate of personal information, it has become much easier to share personal information, which makes the application of the principle of informed consent more difficult. In this circumstance, "Rational Expectation"rule becomes a new option of personal information protection in the era of big data. By assessing the risk of personal information sharing with matrix method in application contexts, it discusses the criteria of risk control under rational expectation rule. If the risk assessed is at the level of low risk, the sharing and use of personal information in this context complies with the rational expectation rule; If the risk assessed is at the level of medium risk, it is necessary to take measures timely and actively to reduce the risk and reassess the risk; If the risk assessed is at the level of high risk, the rational expectation rule is not applicable, the personal information controller should significantly inform the information subject and obtain consent before sharing the personal information. If there are multiple risk points in the application context, when and only when each risk level judged must be low risk, the rational expectation rule can be applied. Based on the rational expectation rule, we can achieve the balance of interests among personal information protection, digital economic development and public interest maintenance, so as to coordinate the promotion of digital innovation, economic development and social progress, and realize the unity of effective protection and rational use of personal information.

アンドリッツ社では,水力発電,環境改善技術,持続可能エネルギー,省エネルギー,創エネルギー技術,バイオ燃料,バイオ素材の技術開発に意欲的に取り組んでおり,今日ではアンドリッツ社における世界の売上の50%以上はこれらに関連するビジネスとなっている。地球に優しいエネルギーの礎は,アンドリッツの森林産業,パルプ・製紙産業向けのプロセス,設備に関わる数十年以上に及ぶ広範囲な経験等に裏付けられたものである。<BR>1)DKP連続溶解パルプ製造プロセス<BR>2)第2世代バイオエタノール技術<BR>3)HERB黒液回収ボイラ及び高濃度エバポレーター<BR>4)排熱回収システム<BR>5)バイオマスガス化技術<BR>6)バイオマス燃料技術・バイオマスペレット化技術(トーレファクション,ホワイトペレット)<BR>7)水力発電技術<BR>本稿においてはアンドリッツ社が有する環境技術のうち,近年特に関心を集めている技術(1,2,3,5,6,7)について紹介する。<BR>バイオマスエネルギー技術はそれぞれ単独でも十分に効果を発揮するものであるが,例えば高濃度黒液濃縮装置とHERB黒液回収ボイラ,CFBバイオマスボイラとトーレファイドペレットという様に組み合わせる事によって,さらに効率を上げる事が可能である。再生可能エネルギーとはいえ有限なエネルギー資源であり,限られた再生可能エネルギー資源を有効に使うためには,燃料の調達・供給を含めた計画と高効率な設備の検討をする必要がある。

The reflections and diffractions of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals from buildings may produce large measurement errors. Detecting non-line-of-sight signals using 3D maps is a means to detect and exclude satellites with large measurement errors. However, the true position is typically needed for using 3D maps. In this study, we verify the assumption that an approximate user position can be used when using 3D maps. We found that the correct fixed position of real-time kinematic GNSS (RTK-GNSS) could be achieved when approximate positions for RTK-GNSS assisted by 3D maps were within 5-15m from the true position.

We propose and demonstrate the lateral integration of a VCSEL and a slow-light VCSEL amplifier with in-plane resonant wavelength detuning design, enabling the unidirectional coupling and stable single-mode operation with good beam quality. The modelling and simulation result of the wavelength detuning and unidirectional coupling is shown. A slow light laterally coupled from the VCSEL to the amplifier can be amplified uniformly when the amplifier is pumped above the threshold current. We also present the experimental data of the beam quality, output power and spectrum. The measured data show the increased single-mode output power with good beam quality in comparison with conventional VCSELs. A record single-mode power (40 mW) with narrow beam divergence (<0.06°) is presented.

Delays can have a negative impact on the stability of various systems. However, it was reported that the transmission delays of signals among oscillators can stabilize unstable equilibrium points in coupled oscillators, which is called amplitude death (AD). AD caused by delays has been extensively researched in the field of nonlinear science and has attracted attention for various engineering applications. In this article, we review the latest studies on AD caused by delays in oscillator networks, in particular those that considered heterogeneous delays and time-varying networks.

本稿では,「居場所」を提供しようとする支援への利用者の参加の経験を,参入-定着-退出の3段階に分節化し,就労・就学に代表される,外部社会への参加までの過程を連続的・動態的に明らかにすることを試みた。分析の結果,「居場所」支援の利用者たちは数々の社会的実践から「周縁化」されているが故に,「居場所」への参加にも困難を伴っており,支援者たちは利用者の責任の度合いを下げる形で利用者を「居場所」の「周辺」に位置づけようとしていること,こうした「居場所」利用者としてのアイデンティティの構築を経て,利用者は一般社会で広く通用する汎用的な資源を「居場所」に見出していること,外部社会への参加後は「居場所」利用者としてのアイデンティティは否定されること,などが明らかになった。こうした「居場所」への参加過程を「居場所」と外部社会の「二重の成員性」を獲得する過程として位置づけた。

In this paper, we consider a method for finding certain eigenvalues of generalized eigenvalue problems in a given domain of the complex plane. We also discuss the relation between the presented method and the Lanczos method briefly. The presented method provides a good performance in parallel computations. A numerical example that was obtained on a PC cluster is included.
