Emotional state before sleep affects the subsequent sleep onset. The purpose of this study was to investigate how positive/negative emotion before sleep effected hypnagogic state. The movies eliciting positive or negative emotion were presented before sleep. Hypnagogic imagery was recorded as a probe of emotional experience and EEG microstate analysis was used for finding the emotion related EEG activities. The score of emotion ratings for hypnagogic imagery indicated that positive emotion was reported in not only positive condition but also in negative condition. This implied that hypnagogic state might be accompanied by positive emotion. Comparing the appearance of maps obtained from microstate analysis between conditions, the map of right temporal activity was significantly greater in positive condition while the map of the left frontal activity was greater negative condition. These results suggested that the emotion not just in presleep but also in hypnagogic state was involved in sleep onset process.

In recent years, as information equipment has become multi-functional, an easy-to-use interface has been demanded. Particularly, an interface design that can be operated intuitively is urgently required. Therefore, we have re-examined this problem from the point of view of familiarity and organization along the flow of execution of user behavior for the design method, characteristics, and the meaning of an intuitive interface by use of a literature search, a questionnaire survey, and experiments. Based on our results, after reviewing patterns that combine the recognition and operation by a user, we classified interfaces into four types. As a result, we have clarified the characteristics and requirements of an intuitive interface and design guidelines which form the methodological framework of an intuitive interface design. The current study focused on information terminals using a touch panel, but the design guidelines proposed should be applicable to the interface design of various devices.

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between humans and objects they treasure using the analogy of interpersonal relationships. Four hundred and eighteen undergraduates were asked to name objects they were especially fond of. They then rated the likeness or similarity of these things to themselves and others, and they specified the reason they liked the objects. The results showed that certain objects carried with them strong metaphors for the subjects' interpersonal relationships. The study also analyzed the relationship between these metaphors and the reasons given by the subjects for liking the objects named. Although this was an exploratory study, the analysis of the relationship between humans and the objects might be useful for the development of new products that people will treasure.

症例は20歳,男性.0歳時,髄膜瘤に対する手術の際に,脳室腹腔シャント(VPシャント)を造設.8歳時に水頭症発症し,シャント入れ替えが施行されていた.3カ月前より右前胸部シャント挿入創に肉芽形成を認め,1カ月前に同部位から排膿を認めるようになり,シャント感染が疑われた.シャント抜去術が予定されたが,術前腹部CTでチューブの腸管内迷入所見を指摘.腹部に圧痛はなく,腹膜刺激症状はみられなかった.腹腔鏡による腹腔内観察では,チューブ先端が横行結腸内へ迷入していたため,小開腹にてチューブを抜去し腸管を修復した.術後抗生剤投与により前胸部創感染は改善し,今後は経過観察し,水頭症が出現した場合にシャント再造設を予定することとなった.VPシャントチューブの消化管穿通はまれな合併症であるが,本症例では診断および治療に腹腔鏡下手術が有用であった.

Die Geschichte der modernen Wissenschaft in Deutschland läßt sich als eine Geschichte der bewußten Ausklammerung normativ besetzter Fragestellungen aus den Wissenschaften verstehen. Die klassische > Selbst-Bildungsidee <, die durch die Formung einer Weltanschauung Wissen zur Orientierung verschaffen soll, ist allmählich zusammengebrochen, statt dessen haben sich die empirischen Fachwissenschaften verbreitet. Schelsky hat diese Tendenz der Ausdifferenzierung in der Wissenschaft als unvermeidlich angenommen und die wissenschaftliche Gültigkeit nicht in der klassischen Weltanschauung, sondern in den speziellen Fachkenntnissen begründet gesehen.<br> Auf der Suche nach einer neueren Einheit dieser Fachwissenschaften hat Schelsky die Konsequenz gezogen, daß fachtechnische Kenntnisse heute nur in ihren sozial funktionellen Zusammenhängen integriert werden dürfen, und daß somit politische Entscheidungen mittles des wissenschaftlichen Wissens auf rationaler Ebene getroffen werden können. Durch diese Behauptung hat Schelsky die politischen Zielsetzungen von der Elite mit Fachkenntnissen nach der > Sachgesetzlichkeit < der modernen Technik legitimiert.<br> Schelskys Lehre von der >Technokratie< wurde unter der Voraussetzung der Stabilität und Entwicklung des damaligen wirtschaftlich-politischen Systems aufgestellt. Daher erhielt sie am Ende der sechziger Jahre, als man der damaligen wirtschaftlich-politischen Richtung skeptisch gegenüberstand, eine schlechte Kritik. Jetzt hat Schelsky am Bestehenden festgehalten und außerdem die Einstellung der kritischen Intellektuellen und Studenten als Bedrohung des Status quo heftig angeklagt.<br> Um dieses Beharren auf den Fachwissenschaften und ihrer Vertreter in der Lehre Schelskys zu überwinden, fordert jetzt einerseits der von Lübbe vertretene Neue Konservatismus die Rückkehr zu der traditionellen geistwissenschaftlichen Weltanschauung, und versuchen andererseits Lepenies und Habermas eine neue wissen-schaftliehe Einheit und Orientierung in der Selbstreflexion von Fachleuten, oder in der kommunikativen Alltagspraxis, zu finden.

日欧の木造・石造建築物の比較測定に基づき、西欧教会、オペラ劇場の動的音楽音響特性を、そこで行われる演奏・儀礼との関係に基づいて明らかにした。上下方向に移動変化する音楽音響に既存の評価法がなかったため、相関解析を用いてこれを定式化し数理を準備した。これを用い、作曲家リヒャルト・ヴァーグナーが設計に直接関与したバイロイト祝祭劇場の音楽音響ダイナミクスを、ヴァーグナー楽劇の上演を伴って収録解析した。その成果に基づいて空間演奏の要素を伴う指揮の技法を初めて体系化、国際公刊した。この過程で創出した新しい非線形音楽音響解析手法群を適用し、古代ギリシャ・ハルモニアのヘテロダイン共鳴などの機構も明らかにした。

透析患者でまれな夜盲症を2例経験した. 2例は非糖尿病性腎症で10年以上の長期透析患者であり, リン (P) コントロールのためカルシウム (Ca) 非含有ポリマーが処方され, LDL-コレステロール (LDL-Cho) は低値であった. 眼底検査や頭部MRI検査は異常なく, 網膜電位図検査 (electroretinogram : ERG) と, 血清ビタミンA (Vit. A) 低値によりVit. A欠乏性夜盲症と診断した. パルミチン酸レチノール配合薬2gを補充したところ, 一両日中に夜盲症状は改善した. 2例ともBMI, 血清Alb, KT/V, malnutrition-inflammation score (MIS), そして食事内容調査から栄養状態の悪化はないと考えたが, しかし, 発症時期に標準化蛋白異化率 (nPCR) が連続して2か月以上, 1.0g/kg/日以下であり, Vit. A以外の, 栄養学的な複合要因がある可能性があった.

相手の名前を呼ぶことは、相手の注意を引きつける働きを持つほか、感情的な意図を呼びかけに込めるなど、社会的関わりにおいて重要な役割を果たす。とりわけその感情伝達においては、伝達先(名前)の情報が同時に示されるという際立った特徴を持つ。本研究では、非注意の聴覚刺激として呈示される名前および同時に込められた感情に対する自動的反応について、事象関連電位を指標として検討した。実験参加者は、実験中、ビデオゲーム(音響効果なしのテトリス)に集中し、聴覚刺激は無視するよう教示された。事象関連電位のデータは、無視された名前刺激に対しても、200~300msの潜時において自他名の区別がなされていることを示した。さらにその後の潜時帯において、自己名において大きな感情効果が生じた。呼びかけにおける感情情報の独自性と、自他名の区別と感情の時系列処理に関して考察した。

オジギソウは熱や接触に応答し、屈曲運動を行う。この運動には水の移動が関与しており、主葉枕下部から急激に水が放出され膨圧が低下することで屈曲運動が起こると考えられている。このような素早い水の移動にはアクアポリンの関与が考えられた。当研究室では計7種のPIPアイソフォームが単離されており、それぞれの水透過性が測定されている。運動細胞で発現、機能しているPIP遺伝子を特定するために実生オジギソウの各部位からcDNAプールを作製し、real-time PCR及び半定量的PCRによって発現量の解析を行った。その結果、主葉枕にはPIP2;2、PIP2;3遺伝子が発現していることが示唆された。さらに、主葉枕を下部と上部に分割して解析した結果、PIP2;2遺伝子が下部に多く発現していた。屈曲運動は接触して数秒で反応することから、PIPのリン酸化及び脱リン酸化による活性制御が考えられ、本研究ではこれらの阻害剤を用いて機能解析を行った。結果、PIP2;2は脱リン酸化阻害剤により水透過性が向上した。リン酸化される個所として、他の植物同様PIP2;2 にはC末端にPKCリン酸化モチーフが保存されている。そのため、PKCによる活性への影響を観察するために変異体を作製した。その結果PIP2;2の3つのリン酸化モチーフは全てPKCのリン酸化による活性調節を受けていることが示唆された。

<p>53歳,女性.3年前から2カ月に一度,右下腹部の間欠的な疼痛を自覚したため近医産婦人科を受診.精査で卵巣腫瘍が疑われ,当院産婦人科へ紹介された.経膣超音波検査で子宮および両側付属器に明らかな病変を認めず,また腹部造影CTでは右骨盤内に小腸と接する造影効果を有する3.5cm大の類縁形腫瘤を認め,骨盤造影MRIではT1強調脂肪抑制像で内部不均一な高信号病変を認めた.PET-CTで同病変に異常集積を伴っていたため,小腸GIST疑いで当科へ紹介となった.腹腔鏡観察では腫瘤は類円形,表面平滑で可動性は良好であり,腫瘍径・腫瘍局在が画像診断と一致していたため,切除の方針とした.腫瘍周囲を剥離すると子宮円靱帯由来の腫瘍と判明し,腹腔鏡下に腫瘍摘出術を施行した.病理組織学的検査では紡錘状の平滑筋細胞が錯綜する像を認め,腫瘍細胞はα-SMA陽性,Desmin陽性,DOG-1陰性であったため,子宮円靱帯平滑筋腫の診断であった.子宮円靱帯由来の平滑筋腫は稀であり,文献的考察を含め報告する.</p>
