本稿では,Support Vector Machine (SVM)に基づく一般的なchunk同定手法を提案し,その評価を行なう.SVMは従来からある学習モデルと比較して,入力次元数に依存しない極めて高い汎化能力を持ち,Kernel関数を導入することで効率良く素性の組み合わせを考慮しながら分類問題を学習することが可能である.SVMを英語の単名詞句とその他の句の同定問題に適用し,実際のタグ付けデータを用いて解析を行なったところ,従来手法に比べて非常に高い精度を示した.さらに,chunkの表現手法が異なる複数のモデルの重み付き多数決を行なうことでさらなる精度向上を示すことができた.In this paper, we apply Support Vector Machines (SVMs) to identify English base phrases (chunks). It is well-known that SVMs achieve high generalization performance even with input data of very high dimensional feature space. Furthermore, by introducing the Kernel principle, SVMs can carry out the training in a high-dimensional space with smaller computational cost independent of their dimensionality. In order to achieve higher accuracy, we also apply majority voting of 8 SVM-based systems which are trained using distinct chunk representations. Experimental results show that our approach achieves better accuracy than other conventional frameworks.

軸対称鍛造および押出加工問題に上界接近法を適用し,加工硬化しないLevy-Misesの剛塑性材料が圧縮,押出,上昇穿孔および向合押出鍛造加工を受ける場合の所要力,変形および欠陥について解析を行ない,新しい知識を得るとともに今まで実験的にのみ知られている事実の説明ができた.さらに工具と材料間にCoulomb摩擦が存在する場合ならびに材料が加工硬化する場合についての上界接近法についての考察を行なった.

オンライン文献情報サービス(データベース提供)機関としては米国ビッグ3の一つであるBRS社(Bibliographic Retrieval Services)のサービスが日本でも利用できる運びとなった。サービス形態は2通りで,KDDのICAS経由による米国BRS杜のサービスそのものとBRSシステムソフトウェアを日本電子計算(株)(以下JIPという)の計算機(日立M200H)に乗せて行なうサービスである。両サービスともJIPとUSACO((株)ユー・エス・エシアテックカンパニー)が共同提供する。ここでは,BRS社のサービス概要を説明し,続いて日本でのサービス(JIP/BRS)について紹介する。

It was around 1970 when the environmental problem became an object of public concern. Since then, many economists have tried to apply their principles to the problem and "environmental economics" has become a new field of economics. But the problem has become serious and now "the global environmental problems" are threatening the global ecology with destruction. We should ask whether economics has appropriate conceptual system to understand the relationship between nature and human beings, and to create a new economic paradigm. It seems that in Marxian Economics we need to reexamine the whole work of Karl Marx from the newer point of view, and to reorganize the system of "Critique of Political Economy" in order to be able to solve the contemporary environmental problem fundamentally.

The third part of 'Okonomisch-philosophische Manuscripte' includes one meaningfull and mysterious paragraph, in which the most important idea of young Marx seems to be represented. It is as follows. 'Wir sehn hier, wie der durchgefuhlte Naturalismus oder Humanismus sich sowohl von dem Idealismus, als der Materialismus unterscheidet und zugleich ihre beide vereinigende Wahrheit ist. Wir sehn zugleich, wie nur der Naturalismis fahig ist, den Akt der Weltgeschichte zu begreiten'. We try to decode the paragraph through elucidating the total context of 'Kritik der Hegelschen Dialetik und Philosophie uberhaupt'.

In the last paper, we tried to decode one meaningfull and mysterious paragraph in the third part of OKONOMISCH-PHILOSOPHISCHE MANUSCRIPTE through elucidating the total context of 'Kritik der Hegelschen Dialektik und philosophie uberhaupt'. In this paper, we try to make clear the whole context of the third part mentioned above, focusing on the key sentence saying that 'die Gesellschaft ist die vollendete Wesenseinheit des Menschen mit der Natur, die wahre Resurrektion der Natur, der durchgefuhrte Naturalismus des Menschen und der durchgefuhrte Humanismus der Natur'. Though this work, we will be able to understand the importance of 'Nature' in the first 'Kritik der politischen Okonomie'.

近年,Webを大規模な画像データベースとみなした種々の画像検索システムが開発されている.本研究は画像をキーとして,画像の統計的な特徴量をもとに類似画像集合をWebで検索し,同時にその類似画像に付随するテキスト情報をユーザに提示することで,対象画像のより詳細な情報を得るシステムを開発することを目的とする.ここでは画像検索システムの開発にあたり,その基本的な機能である自動画像分類のための特徴量の検証を行う.

単語や文節,係り受け関係といった特定の言語パターンの頻度を数え個々の表現の分布を調査することは,自然言語処理でもっとも基本的な処理であることは疑いの余地はなく,その応用範囲は多岐にわたる.処理の内容はいたって単純であるが,大規模データを扱えるようアルゴリズムのスケーラビリティーを確保することは容易ではない.本稿では,頻出言語パターンマイニングアルゴリズムを概観するとともに,マイニングアルゴリズムを応用した機械学習手法について紹介する.

Byssochlamys spp. について,簡便,迅速かつ正確に種を同定するために有効な遺伝子指標を評価する目的で,26株のByssochlamys spp. および関連菌種の18S rDNA, 26/28S rRNA遺伝子D2領域およびlys2 の塩基配列を決定し,分子系統解析および相同性解析を行った.その結果,いずれの遺伝子を用いても,その塩基配列の相同性を指標として,それぞれの菌種あるいはグループを識別することができた.3種類の遺伝子のうち,最も優れた解像度を有するのはlys2 であったが,最も簡便に結果を得ることができたのは26/28S rDNA D2領域であった.また,分子系統解析の結果,Byssochlamys spp. とその関連菌種は再分類の必要性があることが示唆された.

近年の情報機器や情報技術の発展に伴い,日常生活の様々な場面において生活の質を向上させる適切なサービスが望まれている.着席という動作は一日の活動に対して大きな割合を占めるととかち,着席時のユーザの振舞い情報をサービスに繋げることは有望である.そこで,椅子に圧力センサを設置し,着席中に座面にかかる圧力の分布から姿勢を識別する方法について検討する.

We propose a new method for determining the correspondence between audio and visual events based on the selective attention which is observed in a living organism. For auditory attention, our system recognizes a target sound in noisy environments using an auditory filter that focuses on a specific period corresponding to visual events. It was confirmed that the success rate of correspondence between audio and visual events increased from 78.6% without the auditory filter, to 95.2% with the auditory filter. This certifies the importance of visual information for auditory attention. We also realized a visual attention of localizing a sound source and adjusting the line of sight and the iris of a camera when the system perceived a sound, but could not obtain visual information. The success rate of experiments based on visual attention is 93.3%. These results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

We have experienced 6 patients with the psychogenic hearing impairment in the past 6 months. They were all female and their age ranged from 11 to 13 years. Hearing impairment was bilateral in 5 patients and was unilateral in one. To establish the diagnosis, standard audiometry, speech audiometry Bekesy audiometry, Evoked Response Audiometry (Auditory Brainstem Response and Slow Vertex Response), stapedius reflex test, and tympanometry were performed. The visual field test was also examined and the personality of the patients was tested using Yatabe-Guilford test. The pure tone test revealed that the degree of hearing loss ranged from 40 dB to out of scale. The degree of hearing loss obtained by the speech audiometry was better than that was obtained by the pure tone test. Bekesy audiometry in 11 ears showed type V in 5 and type I in 6. The tympanogram, ERA (ABR and SVR), stapedius reflex were normal in all patients. In two patients, the defect of the visual field was observed. The results of the tests to study the personality of the patients revealed various types of abnormalities. This abnormalities were thought to be the intrinsic factors in this disease. In 5 patients, we found the extrinsic factors in their daily lives. The prognosis of 5 out of the 6 patients was good, but in 1 patient, whose charactor showed to be in a high grade neurotic state, the hearing loss was not changed. We treated her with the co-operation of a psychiatrist.

本研究では,他人の文章を真似して作成された文章を発見するための文章間類似度の計算法を提案する.真似した文章の多くは,もとの文章に含まれる文と類似した文から構成され,類義語・同義語へ言い換えることなどにより表層的な表現を変化させる.そこで,本手法では各文章を構成される文単位で照合し,表層的な表現の変化に対応するため単語の頻度と概念辞書を用いる.本手法による類似度により,同一テーマで記述された文章と真似して書かれた文章とを明確に区別することができることを示す.In this research, we propose a method of calculating the similarity between documents for identifying the imitated document. Many of imitated documents consist of the sentences similar to the sentence contained in an original documents, and their surface-expression changes by transposing to a synonym etc. Then, our method compares two documents in the sentence unit that constitutes each document by using term frequency and concept dictionary. We show that we can distinguish clearly the document described by the same theme, and the imitated document by using our method.

本研究では,日本と中国の食肉179検体,鶏卵35検体におけるの大腸菌,サルモネラ及び黄色ブドウ球菌の汚染状況を統一検査法により調査した.食肉検査結果により,日本において,大腸菌の検出率は46.4%,サルモネラは4.4%で, 黄色ブドウ球菌は36.2%であった。中国において,大腸菌の検出率は37.9%,サルモネラは5.5%で,黄色ブドウ球菌は 44.1%であった.大腸菌の検出率が日本の方(46.4%)が中国(37.9%)よりやや高く,これに対し,黄色ブドウ球菌は中国の方(44.1%)が日本(36.2%)よりやや高い結果が見られたが,いずれも有意差がなかった.汚染菌数について,10^4 CFU/gを超えるのは.大腸菌では4/69(日本),4/145(中国):黄色ブドウ球菌では2/69(日本)と7/145(中国)であった. これらの結果により,食肉の加工,保管,流通,販売において,徹底的な温度管理と衛生管理が必要であると考えられる.

上田研究室により提案された言語モデルLMNtalは, 階層的グラフ構造の書き換えに基づく言語モデルである. LMNtalでは, プロセス構造を容易に図で表現できるように設計されている. しかし, 不特定構造の複製や破棄, 比較といった機能が欠けていた. 探索問題において, バックトラックではなく, 探索木の分岐に応じて状態を複製していくという解き方があるが, これをLMNtalで書くにはそれらの機能が必要である. 本研究ではこれを補うものとして, ``非線形プロセス文脈''および``基底項プロセス''という概念を実装した. これによって, 従来のLMNtalではできなかった計算モデルの表現ができるようになった. これら二つの機能を用いたLMNtalプログラム例として, 本研究の動機でもある, 状態の複製を用いて探索問題を解くプログラムを記述した. そのモデル化方法とLMNtalプログラムでのアルゴリズムの表現を解説し, また, この方法の応用を考察する.
