This paper proposes a FPGA based efficient implementation of AES-GCM for wireless applications. For AES engine, we apply the DACSE algorithm to achieve a compact S-box. A new pipeline strategy is present to improve the throughput of AES engine without bring in extra resource consumption. For GHASH core, FR-KOA algorithm is present to implement a finite field multiplier (FFM). In addition, a 6-stage pipeline strategy is used to improve the FFM throughput. The proposed FR-KOA FFM can match the high-efficiency AES we designed to achieve the highly efficient AES-GCM. FPGA implementation on Xilinx FPGA, Virtex5 xc5vlx85 yielded a throughput value of 48.8 Gbps covering area of 6482 slices. The efficiency of our implementation is 7.54 Mbps/Slice which is higher than the previous works.

「和食」といえば、御飯に汁物とおかず(煮物や焼き物、酢の物など)という一汁三菜の形式をイメージする人は多い。この形式は、江戸時代に江戸の比較的裕福な層だけが口にできた本膳料理を下地とする。近代以降、それが庶民にも普及し、やがて「和食」のイメージを形成するわけだが、その過程については必ずしも具体に明らかにされていない。拙稿では、この過程を「和食化」と呼んで主題化する。和食化は近代以降の日本の食文化を理解する重要な論点となる。拙稿では、滋賀県東近江市政所町のミッソウ祭、石川県能登半島のアエノコト、秋田県男鹿市のナマハゲといった民俗行事を取り上げる。特に神人共食の形で用いられる供物の形式や調理法に注目することで、供物の食文化的側面が日常の食生活に影響を及ぼし、和食化の素地となった可能性を指摘する。また、御膳の普及・衰退、冠婚葬祭の料理といった課題にも言及し、今後の研究進展の足掛かりともする。

This paper discusses how Qian Daosun, famous for his translation of the Man’yōshū,was described in Japanese materials. Despite Qian Daosun’s contributing greatly to the translation of Japanese literaryworks into Chinese, he is a poorly understood fi gure in China as he was sentenced and sent to jail as a traitor by the Kuomintang government, which discouraged later research.There are, however, materials about Qian in Japan, written by Yoshikawa Kojiro and others, through which it is possible to understand Qian’s public image in Japan and develop some idea of what he was like as an individual. Qian was regarded as a serious teacher and a kind-hearted scholar, taking care of Japanese overseas’ students in Beijing. Some articles depict Qian as experiencing psychological confl ict owing to his ambivalence on the tense relations between China and Japan, and that he showed indomitable courage in protecting Chinese culture from destruction by the Japanese army during the Second Sino-Japanese War.

The Taesil Gabong Monument is the symbol of the Womb (Umbilical Cord) Belief in Korea (Joseon) and is of immense importance. In this essay, I present a preliminaryconsideration of the monument, which I have actually seen, and pursue a synopsis of afuture research topic.

This study aimed to evaluate the association between work-related changes caused by COVID-19 and psychological distress among Japanese workers. The cross-sectional study was conducted from August 25 to September 30, 2020. The participants were 15,454 employees who were registered as panelists with an online survey company. The Kessler psychological distress scale with a 13-point cutoff was used to measure psychological distress. Multiple logistic regression was performed. Of the respondents, 8.9% were evaluated as having severe psychological distress. Among five examined work-related changes, being laid off and changing jobs (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] = 5.43; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 4.18–7.05), experiencing temporary workplace closure (aOR = 1.94; 95% CI: 1.67–2.25), being forced to visit the workplace for paperwork (aOR = 1.84; 95% CI: 1.58–2.15), and starting telework from home (aOR = 1.18; 95% CI: 1.01–1.37) were associated with increased psychological distress; no significant association was found for participation in work-related online meetings. The impact on psychological distress was greater among men, especially for being laid off and changing jobs because of COVID-19. It is important to assess and reduce negative mental health effects among workers experiencing work-related changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, taking gender differences into account.

When teachers score classroom speaking tests, intensive rater training ahead of the test may not always be possible. The current study examines the extent to which rater reliability can be maintained using a simple rubric without detailed rater training. We analyzed four speaking tests for senior high school students (N = 116). The speaking tests involved an individual presentation, a paired role play, and two group discussions across seven months. Each test was evaluated using a simple rubric by two or more raters who did not receive intensive rater training. The data was analyzed using many-facet Rasch measurement and generalizability theory. The results suggest that in general, raters scored similarly and consistently. The number of raters required to maintain sufficient reliability (Φ = .70), at the overall test level, was one to four, with group discussion tests requiring more raters or intensive rater training. Pedagogical implications with regard to the allocation of limited resources of time and raters were discussed.
