Reproductive traits of the Japanese hare, Lepus brachyurus, were investigated with 196 hares killed either by hunting, pest control or traffic accidents in Shizuoka Prefecture from 1984 to 1993. Average weight of testis started increasing from November, and reached the peak on March, then declined gradually from March to October, and the spermatogenesis ceased both September and October. Although the average weight of ovaries showed similar changes, the change started one month later than the testis. Detectable embryo were found in the samples from February to October. Assuming that breeding season was from first copulation to the last parturition, determined by the age of leverets captured in the wild, in which the whole ages were estimated by the body weight, the duration of the breeding season could be estimated to be 276 days. Embryo size ranged from single to triplets with an average of 1.6 ±0.7. Calculated average annual reproductive potential was 10.1 young per female.

Radiocarbon (14C) provides a way to date material that contains carbon with an age up to 50,000 years and is also an important tracer of the global carbon cycle. To obtain the calendar year, radiocarbon age is calibrated using radiocarbon calibration dataset such as IntCal09. However there is still uncertainty in the available radiocarbon calibration dataset prior to 12.5 thousand years before the present. Recently,the radiocarbon calibration dataset from the annual laminated (varve) sediments of Lake Suigetsu, Japan (35°35'N, 135°53'E), have been updated by more than 800 14C analyses of terrestrial materials which provide a comprehensive record of atmospheric (or terrestrial) radiocarbon to the present limit of the 14C method (Bronk Ramsey et al., 2013).炭素14年代測定法は、過去5万年間の年代決l定には無くてはならない年代測定法である。しかし、炭素14年代は暦年代とは一致しなく、炭素14年代から暦年代を推定するには炭素14年代キャリブレーションデータセットを用いた較正が必要である。過去12500年間の炭素14年代キャリブレーションセットは、年輪年代学の手法で年代決定された木材の高精度炭素14年代測定によって求められている。それ以前は、海洋試料の高精度炭素14年代測定結果に海洋のリザーバ効果の補正が行われデータから推定され、不確かさが残されていた。水月湖年縞堆積物の研究で、海洋のリザーバ効果の補正が必要がなくなり、考古学試料などの陸域試料に適用できる炭素14年代キャリブレーションデータセットが、炭素14年代測定法が適用できる全期間について求められた。

日本の心理職にとって長年の懸案であった法的資格である公認心理師法が制定された。しかしこの法律および関連する制度について,海外の同種の資格と比較すると様々な課題が指摘される。公認心理師に求められる知識・技術,ならびに業務の定義が曖昧であることにより,今後の混乱が懸念される。資格試験受験資格が大学院修了ではなく学部卒も含まれていること,資格更新制度が採用されていないことは,資格制定の目的である一般市民の保護に資するのか,疑問が提示される。卒後教育が必要であることは当然であるが,全国で充実した卒後教育を受けられるようなシステム作りが必要である。法的資格取得後の公認心理師の質向上について,関連する学会や職能団体が果たす役割は大きいと言える。

近年、本邦の医療では安全で質の高い医療サービスを提供するために、多職種で実践されるチーム医療が推進されている。一方、2017年に公認心理師法が施行され、2019年には心理専門職として初の国家資格保有者が誕生し、チーム医療への幅広い貢献が期待されている。本稿では本邦における精神科リエゾンを中心にしたチーム医療の中で心理専門職の活動の動向を捉えたうえで、今後、身体科のチーム医療などで心理専門職がどのように貢献し、そのためにはどのような課題があるのかを主に過去10年間の文献を用いながら検討した。心理専門職のチーム医療での展開として、がん、糖尿病をはじめとする慢性疾患や救急、周産期医療など幅広い疾患や対象に活動が求められ、患者や家族、医療スタッフそれぞれに直接的、間接的に専門技能などを講じていく役割に加え、医療やケアの場全体を下支えする役割が重要であると考えられた。またこれらの役割を実行して行くためには、専門性の向上はもちろんのこと、他の職種と積極的にコミュニケーションをとる社会性の発揮や、医学的知識の修得、多職種協働のための知識とノウハウの学習などが重要であると示唆された。

Talking about death by way of metaphor is something inevitable in all societies for its incomprehensible nature. But in some cultures, the theme of death is emphasized more than others. Mexican popular culture of death doubtlessly belongs to this category, and has enormous variations of metaphors, phrases, and proverbs related to death. Mexican language of death has been developed through the 20th century, which experienced the Mexican revolution and the rise of nationalism in which the indigenous culture obtained new values. Through the rapid social changes in the 20th century, the metaphors of death have been newly produced and their implications in those words have changed depending on the social situation. In this article I will focus on the Mexican expressions of “to die” and by categorizing them I will try to see the connections between Mexican national identity, social problems, historical consciousness and the way they perceive death. Other than language aspect, I will also discuss self-other relationship in the way they celebrate “the days of dead”, Mexican national festival in Mexico City.
