かぜ症候群に対する麻黄附子細辛湯 (株) ツムラ, TJ-127) の有用性を検討するため, 封筒法による総合感冒薬との比較試験を行った。対象はTJ-127群83例, 総合感冒薬群88例で, 性, 年齢, 発病から投薬までの期間など, 両群の背景因子に有意差はみられなかった。結果として, 全般改善度では, TJ-127群は中等度改善以上が81.9%であり,一方総合感冒薬群は60.3%であった (P<0.01)。また, 患者に各種症状の経過をかぜ日記として記載してもらい, それらを検討した結果, 発熱, 熱感, 全身倦怠感, せき・たんの各症状において, TJ-127群の方が総合感冒薬群より有意に短期間に消失することが認められた。安全性においてもTJ-127群に問題となるものは認められなかった。以上の成績から, TJ-127はかぜ症候群の治療に有用な薬剤と考えられた。

ろう児への人工内耳手術が論争を呼んでいる。人工内耳手術とは内耳に小さな電極を挿入し、音を電気信号に変換、聴神経に直接、電気刺激を伝える不可逆的な手術である。ろう者の組織の多くは各国でろう児への人工内耳手術に反対する運動を繰り広げ、95年の世界ろう者会議は「ろう児に人工内耳手術を勧めない」と決議した。手話を確固たる言語として認識する動きと、ろう文化の主張が背景にある。日本でも93年の「Dプロ」の結成を契機にろう文化運動は上げ潮である。ろう児への人工内耳手術に対しては、(1)現技術レベルの人工内耳は中途半端であり、音声言語、手話言語共に身につかないという批判と、(2)聴者である親が本人の自己決定抜きで、ろう者を聴者に変えようとするのは許されないという倫理的な批判がある。ろう者としての独自の世界があることを、聴者の親に伝える努力が求められている。ろう者自身の組織から、ろう児の親への積極的な情報提供、相談の役割が期待される。

As ambiguous package descriptions occasionally cause medication errors,measures against this should be taken to help ensure that medicines are used properly.An example is Speel plaster® M,a salicylic acid adhesive plaster,which is used for the treatment of dermal diseases with keratosis.It is supposed to be attached to the diseased skin in a size the same as that of the affected area or smaller than it,in order to prevent the normal skin surrounding the affected area from being irritated and/or being detached.However,we found that some patients covered an area larger than the affected area with the plaster.This may be due to misunderstanding of a Japanese expression in the package description.The expression is “Kanbu-dai”which means the same size as the affected area but some patients take“dai”to mean large making them think that the size should be larger.In a questionnaire given to 180 pharmacy school students,65.6% answered that the proper use of the plaster was to apply it in a size larger than the affected area,since they had misunderstood the meaning of the expression“Kanbu-dai”.This misunderstanding seemed to be connected with the fact that they had not used the plaster before.We therefore devised a user-friendly package with an explanation to patients using illustrations to help ensure that the plaster is used properly.

The main purpose of this study was to examine how sexually explicit media would affect college students' attitudes towards sex. Previous study results based on Gerbner's theory of cultivation would suggest that students exposed to sexually explicit media would accept distorted sexual information or behavior depicted in the media. A survey was conducted to investigate this relationship among college students (N=350). The survey consisted of eight items probing sexual media exposure and their attitudes toward sex. x^2 analysis results indicated a positive correlation between the items of sexual media exposure and attitudes toward sex. The discussion further considers details surrounding the mechanism of accepting distorted sexual information, media exposure, the formation of attitudes and the roles of peers.

第16回世界コンピュータ将棋選手権で初出場初優勝した「Bonanza」の特徴を概観する. Bonanzaは作者が将棋をあまり知らない上に,コンピュータ将棋の論文を読まずコンピュータチェスの論文のみを参考に開発した.作者によると.Bonanzaの局面の探索の手法は,「全幅探索」とほぼ同様な結果を得られるものを用いており,評価関数は10 000個のパラメータを自動チューニングして最適化したものを用いている.項目数が多いが,構造が簡単なために軽い評価関数に仕上げ,スピードを獲得したと思われる.さらに,基本データ構造にBitboardを採用することで,プログラムの実行速度を上げているとのことであり,これらが相まって成功を収めたと思われる.Bonanzaの登場により,コンピュータ将棋の進歩が一層早まり,10年以内にトッププロに迫るものが現れても不思議でない状況となった.

本稿は,生活保護制度における援助に関する議論を自立概念に注目して吟味することから,生活保護制度のゆくえに関わって検討すべき点を考察するものである.生活保護制度の在り方に関する専門委員会の論議を起点とし,自立支援という観点から制度の根本的な見直しを進めるならば,自立という概念が援助の在り方と関係して問題になると考える.専門委員会で自立支援を議論する過程には曲折がみられたが,最終報告書で自立支援を定義し決着した.この定義は,自立支援プログラムの作成を通じて具体化すると考え,一例として板橋区の自立支援プログラム作成を検討した.その結果,自立に経済的自立だけでなく日常生活自立と社会生活自立を想定することは,制度の目的変更を迫るものであると考えた.見直されていく制度は,現行制度の"保護"という考えにそぐわず,自立支援の取り組みと同時に"保護"に替わる概念を構想する必要がある.

The discussions made in the revision of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information in 2015 revealed the issues that could not be achieved with the amendment, and highlighted that a number of unresolved problems remain in current legislation. One of the issues that could not be achieved is that it was not realized despite being understood that it was necessary to include individual behavioral data recorded with device identifier as the subject of protection under the Act. And the unresolved problem with current legislation is, for example, that the interpretation of the sentence " can be easily matched with other information " in the definition of personal information has not been clarified. This series of papers attempts to propose a direction to solve the remaining issues for the next revision of the Act. Specifically, by focusing on the difference between " personal information" and " personal data " , by clarifying the difference in interpretation between the sentence " can be easily matched with " and " can be matched with " , we aim to unify only the provision on " personal information file " in the private sector and the public sector. The following Part I, unresolved issues are listed, and what is the problem with each issue is shown.
