Newly synthesized 5-3H-cyclocytidine was injected intravenously in rhesus monkeys having a high level of cytidine deaminase which inactivates aracytidine, an antitumor substance analogous to cyclocytidine, in human plasma and tissues. After rapid distribution as intact molecule in the liver, kidney, spleen, and other organs, 46.5% of the administered radioactivity was excreted via the renal pathway within 160min. Metabolite analysis of 5-3H-cyclocytidine in plasma, tissues, and urine of the monkeys revealed that extensive or rapid degradation of cyclocytidine did not occur, and confirmed the resistance of cyclocytidine against the deaminase activity and its stability in biological condition in vivo. Phosphorylated derivatives of cyclocytidine were also detected in the monkey liver after injection.

ヨーロッパ大陸中南部,北アフリカ及び西アジア地域のトールフェスク自生集団及び品種25点を比較3品種(ヤマナミ,ホクリョウ,Fawn)とともに特性評価を行った。ヨーロッパ大陸の自生集団は,主として低標高地自生の早生5系統と高標高地白生の極晩生7系統に区分された。北アフリカ及び西アジアの自生集団及びこれらに由来する13品種・系統は,早生及び中生で,その多くは稈長及び穂長が大であった。季節生産性関連15形質に基づいて主成分分析を行ったところ,第1主成分は生長の盛んな時期,第2主成分は年間の生産力.第3主成分は生育初期における夏季及び秋季の生長と後期におけるそれとの相互関係を反映していると考えられた。北アフリカ及び西アジアの品種・系統は地中海型に属する群で,生長の盛んな時期が低温・短日条件である晩秋から春季に至る期間であり,一般的に夏季の生長が劣った。地中海型は,第2及び第3主成分の分布から,MI群-MIII群に分けられた。ヨーロッパ中南部の系統及び比較3品種は,春季から秋季に至る期間を主たる生長の時期とし,第1-3主成分によってEI及びEIIに分けられた。EI群は出穂性及び季節生産性においてヤマナミ及びFawnと類似し,九州農試の環境条件において最も適応性が高いと考えられた。また,北アフリカ及び西アジアの自生集団及びこれらに由来する品種・系統は,冠さび病抵抗性が極めて優れていた。

本論文は、エルンスト・ブロッホの宗教哲学をそのユダヤ性に関連づけながら再構成する目的で書かれている。ブロッホ哲学に内在するメシアニズム論の枠組みを理解するためには、初期の著述を精査することが欠かせない。主としてショーレムのブロッホ観に依拠しつつも、ブーバー思想との類似点および相違点を確かめる中で、無神論を志向したブロッホ哲学のユダヤ性がどこにあるのかを明らかにしている。

The aim of this paper is to invent foldable (or developable) conical shells in their axial direction. Foldable conical shells with several different types of folding patterns have newly been designed by geometrical considerations with the help of Origami concept. By using thin polypropylane sheet as well as papers, the designed conical shells with prescribed folding lines were actually manufactured, and it was verified that the shells are fully folded as expected. The designed models will make it possible to construct foldable/developable structures such as tents and dome-roof or to manufacture new types of industrial products.

Reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome (RPLS) is one of the important adverse events following organ transplantation, associated with calcineurin inhibitors (CNIs). We describe a case of 54-year-old woman, who was diagnosed with RPLS within weeks after transplantation. Considering the risk of causing fatal rejection by discontinuation of CNIs, the immunosuppressive regimen of the patient was switched from a cyclosporine A-based regimen to a tacrolimus-based regimen. The patient recovered rapidly from RPLS following the switch to tacrolimus. This case demonstrated that not only discontinuation but also a substitution of CNIs would be a valid treatment option for RPLS in transplant recipients.

白秋・露風の二派対立と神秘主義をめぐって展開されていた詩壇論争の渦中で発表された『月に吠える』自序は、その詩の神秘性についての見解に絡んで、福士幸次郎や白鳥省吾らの意外な反応と批判を招いた。そこには誤解もあったが、朔太郎の内部矛盾を鋭く衝いてもいた。複雑な様相を呈する朔太郎の<神秘思想>の内実を特にウイリアム・ブレークとドストエフスキイ受容との関連において解明しながら、その意義について考察する。

国土地理院と測量法 我が国における測量、とりわけ公費を投入して行われる測量は、その正確さを確保すること及び測量の重複を排除する観点から、測量法に基づいて実施しなければならないこととなっている。 国土地理院は、全ての測量の基礎となる測量―これを測量法では「基本測量」と定義している―を実施している国家機関である。国土(領土領海の境界を含む)の正確な形状を示し、また、日本国内で測量を行う全ての者のために測量の基準(とりわけ位置の基準)を決定することが、基本測量の権能である。 測量の結果として得られる成果は、大別して基準点の成果(正確な経緯度、高さなどの数値)、1/25,000地形図に代表される地図及びに分類される。これらの測量成果は、誰でも安価に成果を入手することができる。 測量成果の保管及び供覧 得られた測量成果は、大切に保管しておかねばならない。国土地理院では、測量法制定以降の成果はもちろん、旧陸地測量部時代の測量成果についても保管している。例えば地図は、明治や大正期に作成されたものも「旧版地図」として保管しており、それらをつくば市の本院及び各地の地方測量部で閲覧に供している。特につくば市の本院では、「情報サービス館」を設けて、全国の空中写真約110万枚、国土地理院が刊行した過去から現在に至る全ての地図、基準点の成果表及び点の記等について、閲覧に供するとともに、希望者には謄抄本の交付も行っている。 国土変遷アーカイブ 社会のIT化が進んでいることを受けて、測量成果もウェブ上で閲覧に供している。1/25,000地形図などは10年以上前に試験公開を開始したが、空中写真や旧版地図は平成16年度に「国土変遷アーカイブ」と銘打ってウェブ上での公開を開始した。 国土変遷アーカイブでは、さまざまな撮影時期の空中写真及び明治期以来の地形図(旧版地図)をデジタル化し、DBに格納している。空中写真はウェブ上に簡易検索システムが用意されており、撮影コース、撮影場所、撮影時期などをキーとして検索可能となっている。空中写真は、ファイルサイズと精細度を勘案して、200dpi でフィルムを読み取ったものを閲覧に供している。一方、空中写真はファイルサイズが巨大でウェブ公開には適さないため、つくば市の本院にある情報サービス館のパソコンで自由に見られるようサービスしている。 国土変遷アーカイブの意義 国土変遷アーカイブは、国土地理院が保有する膨大な地図と空中写真をデジタルでアーカイブいるので、地域の時系列的な変化を容易に追うことができる。 また、過去の地形、地貌を確認できるため、工事などによる土地改変が行われる前の現地の状況を知ることも容易である。 空中写真については、更に高い解像度の画像を必要とする利用者も多いが、それらの利用者のために、最大2540dpiまでの画像を別途販売しており、販売サイトへも簡単に画面を遷移することができる。 地図と測量の科学館 平成8年、国土地理院の敷地内に「地図と測量の科学館」がオープンした。この施設は、地図及び測量全体の博物館的な役割を持っており、陸地測量標条例施行以前の古地図についてもその一部が展示されている。 この地図と測量の科学館は土曜日及び日曜日も開館しており(定休日は月曜日)、市街地中心部から無料バスが運行されているなど、つくば市の観光スポットの1つに数えられている。特に、昨年秋には開場以来の累計入場者数が50万人を突破した。 地図と測量の科学館と情報サービス館とは棟続きになっており、利用者の便を図っている。 公共測量成果の保管委託 公共測量の成果は、当該公共測量を実施した計画機関が保管すべきところであるが、一般の行政文書には保存年限は数年程度にしか定められておらず、行政機関が過去の測量成果を全て保管するのは容易ではない。 国土地理院では、地方公共団体等が実施した測量の成果についても、その保管及び供覧を受託している。この施策はまだ十分に知られていないため、今後の普及活動が重要である。

Background:Many studies show that dietary factors such as vegetables, fruit, and salt are associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. However, a risk assessment chart for CVD mortality according to combinations of dietary factors has not been established.Methods and Results:Participants were 9,115 men and women aged 30–79 years enrolled in the National Nutritional Survey of Japan in 1980 with a 29-year follow-up. Dietary intake was assessed using a 3-day weighed dietary record at baseline. Cox regression models were used to estimate the hazard ratio (HR) of CVD mortality stratified by vegetables, fruit, fish, and salt consumption. HRs of CVD mortality according to combinations of dietary factors were color coded on an assessment chart. Higher intakes of vegetables, fruit, and fish, and lower salt intake were associated with lower CVD mortality risk. HRs calculated from combinations of dietary factors were displayed using 5 colors corresponding to the magnitude of the HR. People with the lowest intake of vegetables, fruit, and fish, and higher salt intake had a HR of 2.87 compared with those with the highest intake of vegetables, fruit, and fish, and lower salt intake.Conclusions:Vegetables, fruit, fish, and salt intake were independently associated with CVD mortality risk. The assessment chart generated could be used in Japan as an educational tool for CVD prevention.
