This paper aims to analyze the changes in the structure of households with the elderly by the time trends, using census data. The conclusions afe as follows: 1. The ratio of the male of the single have been increasing at the middle ages, and that of female have been increasing at the sinior ages. And the most of the male of the single is under 50 years old, while over50 percent of the female of the single is over 50 years old. 2. The number of the elderly couple housuholds have been increasing rapidly. And the number become twice that of young couple in 1990. 3 The ratio of the stem family have been decreasing in all age groups. And that of households which are consisted of old elderly and their child's couple have been increased.

A novel series of 6-alkyl-7-oxo-4, 7-dihydropyrazolo[1, 5-a]pyrimidine-3-carboxylic acid derivatives was prepared as angiotensin II (AII) receptor antagonists. When evaluated in an in vitro binding assay using COS cells transfected with a cDNA encoding a human AT1 angiotensin II receptor, the compounds in this series showed Ki values in the range of 0.4-4.0 nM. In anesthetized spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs), administration of the 6-propyl derivative 4d (1 mg/kg, i.v.) reduced the mean blood pressure (MBP) by a maximum of more than 30 mmHg from the normal value.

Starting from recently reported nonpeptidic angiotensin II (AII) receptor antagonists, we have designed and prepared a new series of 6-arylimidazo[4, 5-c]pyridine derivatives. Variation of phenyl groups at the 4-, 6- or 7-position of imidazo[4, 5-c]pyridine showed that substitution at the 6-position resulted in receptor-binding activity almost as potent as that of DuP 753. This led to synthesis and evaluation of an extensive series of 6-aryl-imidazo[4, 5-c]pyridine derivatives. Some of them were 4-fold more potent in vitro than DuP 753, but only showed weak antihypertensive activity in vivo when given orally to rats.

天体物理学では重力多体問題専用計算機GRAPE が非常に大きな成果をあげてきた.本論文では,演算機能が固定されているというGRAPE 計算機の欠点を解消すべく,Field Programmable GateArray(FPGA)を利用した計算機上で,浮動小数点演算を実行し天体物理学計算の高速化を行った.我々が開発したFPGA に浮動小数点演算による演算回路を実装するためのソフトウエアPGR を使用し,重力多体問題を大幅に高速化できることだけでなく,世界で初めてSPH 法の専用計算機による高速化に成功した.本論文の結果は,FPGA による浮動小数点演算の実用性を実証している.

It has been reported that some transporters are located on the blood-brain and blood-cerebrospinal fluid barriers to exclude their substrates from the central nervous system. In this article, the molecular mechanism for the vectorial transport of xenobiotics is summarized particularly focusing on our own studies. In addition to MDR1 P-glycoprotein, we could suggest the significant role of multidrug resistance associated proteins in the drug disposition in the central nervous system. Moreover, the role of organic anion transporting polypeptides and organic anion transporters is discussed in relation to the transport studies in the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier.

The heat of mixing of silica(β-cristobalite) with liquid wustite melted in an iron vessel has been directly measured at 1420°C by the modified isoperibol calorimeter(iso-thermal jacket type). Mixing of solid silica with liquid wustite is an exothermic reaction and the measured heat, ΔHFetO(l)-SiO2(β-cristobalite), is about-900cal/mol at the fayalite composition. Heats of mixing of liquid silica with liquid wustite, ΔHMFetO(l)-SiO2(l), are obtained by the combination of this direct measured results and heat of fusion of SiO2 in the reference. This result is discussed in comparison with the estimated values by the thermochemical data and by the assumption of the regular solution.

鶏の大腿二頭筋(M.biceps femoris)においてAndrogenが筋線維型の構成割合および筋線維の直径にいかなる影響を及ぼすかを組織化学的に検討した.供試鶏はNew Hampshire種雄を用い,対照区,去勢区および去勢鶏にtestosterone propionate(TP)を投与したTP処理区の3区に区分した.大腿二頭筋筋線維は,myosin ATPase, succinic dehydrogenase,およびNADH tetrazoliumreductaseの酵素活性に基づきII-R型とII-W型とに区別された.II-R型はfast-twitch-oxidative-glycolytic fibersでありII-W型はfast-twitch-glycolytic fibersである.雄鶏では20週齢以後の性成熟期にII-R筋線維の構成割合が著しく増加し,逆にII-W型筋線維の構成割合は減少した.去勢鶏の筋線維型の構成割合は雄鶏でみられたような変化は示さなかったが,TPを投与することによって雄鶏のそれへと回復した.去勢の結果,筋線維の直径は特にII-R型でその増大が著しく抑制されるが,TP投与によりこれは回復の傾向を示した.以上の結果から,Androgenは雄鶏の大腿二頭筋でII-W型筋線維の一部の筋線維の酸化的酵素活性を特異的に高め,II-R型へと変換し,同時にII-R型筋線維の直径を増大させることによって,同筋肉を持続性を伴った力強い運動に適合させるものと考えられる.

明治期の日本社会に活版印刷をはじめとする西洋流印刷術が伝播すると、江戸時代以来の伝統的な印刷術は急速に衰退したとされる。しかし、仏教書のように専門性の高い本の場合、江戸時代から続く老舗出版社が、熱心な講読層をがっちり掌握していた。売れる部数だけ出版するという戦略にのっとる限り、老舗出版社が急いで活版印刷を導入し、大量複製や高速印刷の技術を身につける必要はなかった。もっとも、東京の仏教系出版社に注目すると、明治二〇年代にはいち早く西洋流印刷術を導入していく。それは、明治期の啓蒙思想家たちが自ら出版社を創業し、広く一般人にまで仏教教理を説き聞かせようとしたためである。他方、京都の仏教系出版社は、修行中の僧侶に向けて仏教経典の註釈書などを販売する必要があったため、木版印刷や和装製本を根強く使用し続けた。しかし、活版印刷や洋装製本によって大部の著作が縮刷印刷され始めると、その利便性が認められ、明治三〇年代を境として日本の伝統的な印刷術は衰退していった。

We measured and compared the physicochemical properties (pH, yield value, and squeeze force) of a drug for dermatomycosis, terbinafine hydrochloride-containing cream (brand-name product), and 12 generic products to clarify the characteristics of each product. On pH measurement, the pH value of the brand-name product, Lamisil, was 4.8, and those of the generic products ranged from 4.3 to 5.5, showing no marked difference. Furthermore, the yield value of Lamisil, as an index of cream ductility, was 122.2 dyn/cm2, and those of the generic products ranged from 42.1 to 1,621.5 dyn/cm2. In particular, the value of a generic product, Taiyo (42.1 dyn/cm2), was significantly lower, whereas that of another one, Viras (1,621.0 dyn/cm2), was significantly higher. In addition, the squeeze force was measured by attaching a HapLog® to the thumb and second finger. The value of Lamisil was 12.9 N, and those of the generic products ranged from 8.0 to 15.4 N. The values of generic products, Mylan (8.6 N), Tebinaceil (9.0 N), and Kelger (8.0 N), were significantly lower, whereas that of another one, Viras (15.4 N), was significantly higher. These results showed that there were marked differences in the pharmaceutical properties between the generic and brand-name products. The above pharmaceutical characteristics of drugs facilitated the presentation of reasons for differences in the sense of use, which characterizes external preparations, suggesting that products appropriate for individual patients can be recommended.

○調査目的:オオワシとオジロワシは、その多くが冬季に北海道に南下して越冬する冬鳥であり、主に魚食であるため、ほとんどの越冬個体は海岸沿いに生息している。しかし、近年、両種が北海道の内陸部でもたびたび飛来し越冬していることが確認されるようになった。その理由として1990年代以降エゾシカの個体数が増加し、その死肉を餌資源として利用するワシが増えたことが考えられる。本調査では北海道の中央部に位置する富良野市の東京大学北海道演習林周辺において、その飛来実態をエゾシカの存在とともに明らかにした。○調査方法:調査は観察地を5箇所設定し、各調査地で定点観察を行い、ワシ類を確認したら種を同定し、成長度などの状況を記録した。調査地の2箇所は鳥獣保護区、2箇所は可猟区、1箇所はカモ類などの水鳥が多く越冬する自然沼で行った。それぞれ11月から3月まで、1回の調査で1時間以上の定点観察を各月に1調査地で2回以上行った。また、内陸部との比較のため、沿岸部の大規模越冬地においても1月と3月に同様の調査を行った。沼を除く4調査地においてエゾシカの存在を把握するため、調査地の近くにある林道上に1kmの調査コースを設け、コース上を横断にしたエゾシカの頭数を1~3月までの各月に1回カウントした。○調査結果:5調査地において総観察時間74時間にわたる定点観察の結果、のべ個体数で70羽のワシ類を確認し、1時間当たりの確認個体数は0.95羽であった。そのうちオオワシ25羽、オジロワシ42羽、種を同定できなかった個体3羽だった。飛来したワシの成長度では、オオワシ、オジロワシともに79%が成鳥、21%が若鳥であった。調査地別にワシの確認数とエゾシカの生息数との関係をみると、エゾシカが0頭/1kmと1頭もいなかった鳥獣保護区の調査地でワシの確認個体数が0.15羽/1hと最も低く、エゾシカが93.2頭/1kmと最も多かった可猟区の調査地で1.74羽/1hと最も高い結果となった。このことから、エゾシカの存在がワシの個体数に大きく影響していることがわかった。水鳥の越冬沼の調査地ではオジロワシしか確認されず、オオワシの方がエゾシカにより依存していることが示唆された。沿岸部での大規模越冬地における調査では、オオワシ214羽、オジロワシ194羽を確認した。そのうちオオワシの63%、オジロワシの55%が成鳥であった。これらのことから北海道の内陸部に飛来するワシ類は、オジロワシの方が比較的多く飛来し、成鳥の割合が高い傾向にあり、いずれの種もエゾシカを餌資源として高く依存していることが本調査からわかった。

わが国のOTにおいて,脳血管障害者の心理社会面に対して行われている支援内容を明らかにすることを目的として文献的研究を行った.過去10年分の論文,日本作業療法学会演題から,OTRが行った支援内容が記述された箇所をラベルとして抽出し,KJ法によってグループ編成を行った.1. 障害とともに生きていくための支援を行う,2. 作業を介した治療的関わりを行う,3. クライエント-OARの協業的関係を築く,4. クライエント・家族の生活環境づくりを行う,の4つの大カテゴリーが見出された.1が本支援内容のコアカテゴリーであると考えられた.脳血管障害者の心理社会面について,本結果の内容を組み込んだOTを計画し実践する必要がある.The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinds of psychosocial supports occupational therapists provide for stroke clients. We examined Japanese journals of occupational therapy from 1995 to 2004 and formed categories by using the KJ method. As a result, we discovered four typical categories: (1) support to live with disability, (2) use of therapeutic activities effectively, (3) establishment of client-therapist collaborative relationships, (4) providing comfortable environments for clients and families. We regard category (1) as the core category. In conclusion, it is necessary for occupational therapists to understand the psychosocial supports necessary for stroke clients.
