The purpose of this study was to examine how women reacted to the approach of an unknown man in town. 105 female Japanese undergraduates participated in the pilot survey. This survey identified six types of judgments made by women when they were approached by an unknown man in town. To investigate the relation between these six types of judgments and the reaction of women to an unknown man, 290 female Japanese undergraduates participated in the main study. The results showed that judgments concerning risks and situation, as well as personality, intentions, and appearance of an unknown man were related to the reactions of women. The importance of judgments about personality of an unknown man and about risk in initiating relationships with males not belonging to the females' social network are discussed.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the structure of negative feelings caused by negative events in opposite-sex relationships, and the relation between negative feelings and sex difference, relationship with partner, coping behaviors and relationship satisfaction. Three hundred and fifty-six undergraduates responded to a questionnaire asking about their relationships with their partners, negative events, negative feelings, their coping behaviors, relationship satisfaction and a love scale. Negative feelings were classified into affiliation-dissatisfaction and aggressive/refusal feelings. Affiliation-dissatisfaction was composed of sadness, anxiety and so on. It was caused by distance from partners, and did not influence the relationship satisfaction of lovers. The aggressive/refusal feelings were composed of irritation, anger and so on. They were caused by interference from partners. The more frequently they occurred, the lower relationship satisfaction was.

This practice report raises some questions of dialogical workshop design about science and technology policy topics. Focusing participant's talk, we analyze relationship between presenting participant's identity and facilitator's practice of consolidation of opinions. As a result, we find following points. (1) Presenting identity when particular participant express his opinions make/form relationship with other participant's identity.( 2) Participant's identity changes at each time, and relies on course of interactional context. These results provide the resource when we rethink relationship between conservation of opinions diversity and methods of gathering various opinions, and design workshop that oriented deliberative communication in public.

全国各地にある高等専門学校が,毎年技術を競い合う高専ロボコンは,今年で22回目の開催となる.同大会で,沖縄高専が昨年開校5年目にして,全国大会で初優勝を成し遂げた.本文では,第1章で,高専ロボコンについて簡単に紹介し,第2章からは第4章までは,昨年度に優勝した同校の実態についてまとめた.第5章で,九州・沖縄地区大会,全国大会の結果を報告した.

競馬については、競走馬に関するものやレースに関するものなど入手可能なデータは膨大であるが、どのデータがレース結果の予想に有用であるかははっきりしていない。そこで、本研究では、データマイニングの手法を用いて競馬データを分析し、勝馬を予測するシステムを構築する。また、構築したシステムによる予想と実際の結果の比較検討を行う。

G・ケリングらの「割れ窓理論」は,これまで国内外の警察政策に対し一定の影響力を発揮してきたが,そこに見られるコミュニタリアン的色彩の強さから,賛否を巡る多くの議論の的ともなってきた.しかし,そうした議論とは裏腹に,政策決定の現場やマスメディアにおいては,ほとんどの場合,「治安の悪化」に対する特効薬として肯定的に評価されてきたと言ってよい.本稿では,「割れ窓理論」に基づく取締り政策の事例として,京都市における「祇園・木屋町特別警察隊」の試みを取り上げ,質的な分析を加えることによって,ここでの取り組みが指示する「無秩序」がどのような立場から定められているのかを問題とする.この調査が照準するところは,(1)京都市の取り組みで,「安全・安心」を希求する主体はどの位概に在るのか,そして何が「無秩序」として分割線の外部に引き出されているのか.(2)バーテンダーなど街で働く人々は,この警察政策をどのように捉えているか,の二点であり,これらの考察を通して,「割れ窓理論」が持つ理論的な問題点を描写する.
