沖縄県は亜熱帯海洋性気候に属し,特に小規模な島嶼では元々水資源に乏しかった.1972年の本土復帰以降,種々の水資源開発により水供給可能量は増加してきたが,人口および観光客の増加により,需要量は増加しており,給水制限の可能性を高めている.本研究では沖縄県の離島地域における渇水を地域社会の問題として捉え,水道事業の課題を整理し,水に関わる問題を地域社会との関係で構造化した.さらに,座間味島を対象に,観光客増加と住民の節水のみによる給水制限の回避というシナリオ分析を行った.この結果,さらなる節水は非常に困難であることが示唆された.さらに,キャリングキャパシティの考え方を援用して,水資源からみた島の観光客受け入れ容量について提示した.

産官学民のさまざまな事業においてソーシャルメディアを活用できる人材の育成が必要とされている.著者は,これを情報リテラシー教育の先にある次世代人材育成と位置づけ,ソーシャルメディア/デジタルコンテンツの適切な利用環境をデザインしさらにアセスメントできる 「ソーシャルメディア系の人材育成」 の研究開発に着手した.この新たな人材像にもとづき,多業種にまたがって活躍できる人材を育成する教育プログラムを確立することが本研究の目的である.そのモデルとして産学官民の連携を通じて青山学院大学ヒューマン・イノベーション研究センターが大学の既存科目の中で実装する教育プログラムについて報告し,今後の展望を示す.

Many immersive projection displays like the CAVE (CAVE Automatic Virtual Environment) system have been developed. These systems can realize highly immersive virtual environments, and the utilization of these virtual environments is expected in various fields. However, there are many problems regarding the practical use of immersive virtual environments. Depth perception errors are especially serious for interactive applications in immersive virtual environments. In this paper, we provide a view-dependent focal blur effect in immersive virtual environments and examine its effects on depth perception and sense of reality of virtual environments. The effect is synchronized with viewing direction, and it can generate natural blur effect in one's field of view. We show experimentally that the focal blur effect enables us to perceive depth informations accurately, and enhances the sense of reality of virtual environments.

The convincing candidate event of the isotope of the 113th element, 278113, and its daughter nuclei, 274111 and 270Mt, were observed, for the first time, in the 209Bi+70Zn reaction at a beam energy of 349.0 MeV with a total dose of 1.7×1019. Alpha decay energies and decay times of the candidates, 278113, 274111, and 270Mt, were (11.68±0.04 MeV, 0.344 ms), (11.15±0.07 MeV, 9.26 ms), and (10.03±0.07 MeV, 7.16 ms), respectively. The production cross section of the isotope was deduced to be 55+150−45 fb (10−39 cm2).

This paper reports the results of analyses of learner metatalk about Japanese language, English language, and English grammar while attempting to perform two types of "output-oriented" grammar exercises. Subjects were asked to write down their "retrospective reports" on how they performed the exercises. The data was then analyzed on the basis of the theoretical framework of the Output Hypothesis (Swain, 1985, 1998). It was found that the type and amount of metatalk were largely dependent on the type of grammar exercises and the English proficiency level of subjects. The results are also discussed in reference to grammar teaching as well as the three language learning functions of output; "noticing," "hypothesis-testing," and "metatalk."

研究期間中、希少疾患当事者53件(医療費公費負担対象疾患(インタビュー実施時)25件、2)その他希少疾患20件、3)未診断8件)に対して56回のインタビュー調査を実施した。うち、40件については、2017年3月に、病の経験と社会的認知に関係する11項目について中間報告書(162頁)をまとめ、関係者に送付し、概要を協力団体のウェブサイトに掲載した。40件の聞き取りデータ(のべ76時間)から、希少疾患患者における「社会的宙づり状態liminality」を明らかにし、成果の一部については、国内外の学会で報告を行った。また、こうした状態の中核をなす就労問題について、関係者から意見聴取も行った。
