Fatigue crack growth under mixed mode loading conditions is simulated using Superimposed-FEM (S-FEM). By using S-FEM technique, only local mesh should be re-meshed and it becomes easy to simulate crack growth. By combining with re-meshing technique, local mesh is re-meshed automatically, and curved crack path is modeled easily. At first, slant crack problem is solved. It is shown that results agree with conventional solutions, and verified the availability of this technique.Then two-crack problems are solved in several cases by changing each crack location. Stress intensity factors are evaluated and interaction effect between two cracks is discussed. Results are compared with crack coalescence criteria, and it is verified that these criteria are reasonable ones.

The interactive terms in the mesh superposition method are calculated approximately because the integrand has a discontinuity along the mesh lines in a superimposed global mesh. In this paper, the accurate numerical integration technique for a discontinuous integrand by the Delaunay triangulation is proposed. Integral ranges including discontinuous integrands are divided into triangles only with a continuum integrand. The exact solution is sum of the integral values calculated in all triangles. Appropriate triangle edges can be regenerated by the swapping algorithm even though generated triangles contain the inappropriate boundary lines which bring about a discontinuity. A comparison of the accuracy of numerical integration between the proposed technique and conventional approximate means and an application to a sensitivity calculation are investigated in the first example. The second example illustrates the swapping algorithm for the adjustment of generated triangles.

京都市が「京都デジタルアーカイブ構想」を策定したのは、1997年4月のことである。その後1998年8月に京都デジタルアーカイブ推進機構を立ち上げ、さらに2000年8月には京都デジタルアーカイブ研究センターを設立して今に至っている。京都が何をめざし、何をどのようにアーカイブし、また今後にどういかしていくのか。また、京都デジタルアーカイブ研究センターなどが中心となり全国に呼びかけた地域デジタルアーカイブ全国協議会は急激にメンバーを増やしつつあり、政府のデジタルアーカイブ研究会、自民党のデジタルアーカイブ小委員会などの動きも目が離せなくなってきている。こうした状況につき、実践に基づく解説と見解、さらには将来見通しを述べたい。Kyoto City Government developed the "Kyoto Digital Archives Concept" in April, 1997.In the promotion of the Kyoto Digital Archives Project, the Kyoto Digital Archives Promotion Organization was established in 1998, then as a succeeding body of this organization, we started the Kyoto Digital Archives Research Center in August 2000.Now, I would like to describe what Kyoto aims for and how Kyoto develop toward the future with the use of "Digital Archives.We takes the lead "the national local digital archives conference" for which it appealed all over the country is increasing a member rapidly, and it is becoming impossible moreover, for a motion of governmental digital-archives study group, the digital-archives subcommittee of the Liberal Democratic Party, etc. to also look aside. I want to describe the description and view based on practice, and also a future prospect about such a situation.

本研究は、Martin et al. (2003)のHumor styles questionnaireの(HSQ)日本語版を新たに作成し、内的一貫性を検証し、既存の木村他(2008)の尺度との比較を行った。調査参加者は、大学生とユーモアセミナー受講者の327人(男性165人、女性161人、性別回答不明1人)、年齢は18-83歳(平均年齢40.04、標準偏差23.73、年齢回答不明1人)であった。オリジナルと同一の4因子構造を再現し、各下位尺度において十分な内的一貫性を確認した。因子間相関と下位尺度間相関は結果がほぼ一致し、因子分析の結果を反映した尺度であった。そのため、木村他(2008)の尺度より適切な質問紙を作成できたといえた。各下位尺度の性差の結果がオリジナルと異なり、それについては、今後の課題とした。

In the previous paper the authors reported that a muscular work load resulted in the lowering of the function of concentration maintenance (TAF), the grade of which significantly correlated with the volume of oxygen consumed for the work.The present experiment has been carried out to discuss about the lowering of TAF due to muscular work from the viewpoint of excitability level of spinal motoneurone, the final common path of motor nerve system, in relation to the physiological function as one of the factors of the change of TAF.Eighteen healthy male students were loaded with bicycle ergometric work of oxygen consumption of 710ml/min. for 90 minutes. Before and after the work load, they were administered the TAF test, measurement of eye-hand reaction time and recording of H-wave recovery curve from the right lower extremity.The results obtained were as follows:1. The function of concentration maintenance tended to lower with muscular work.2. Comparing the reflexes appeared in H-wave at time intervals of 50 to 900 msec between the conditioning shock and the test shock, the suppression in H-wave recovery curve with ergometric work was noticeable at both 100 and 400 msec against the pre-work values.3. Lowering of the excitability of spinal motoneurone corresponding to muscular fatigue was revealed by a significant correlation between the inhibition rate in H-wave (post-to-pre value) at 400 msec of shock interval and the time of appearance of irregular Piper's rhythm as myographical fatigue.It is reasonable that the excitability of spinal motoneurone lowers at 100 msec in the process of after-hyper-polarization, while the fact that even beyond the rage of the process, at 400 msec, a significant suppression in H-wave recovery curve was observed may suggest also a lowering of its excitability without regard to the relative refractory period of after-hyper-polarization.These results lead us to recognize that the lowering of TAF due to a physical load may be caused by the central depressive action in relation to muscular fatigue.

Ultrasonography of the shoulder joint was investigated in 30 patients who had been suspected rotator cuff tear. In 26 patients, the sonographic fihdings were correlated with arthrography (sensitivity, 86%).The sonographic appearance of the rotator coff tear, be could be classified into three, categories as thinning (15 patients), invisualization (8 patients), and discontinuity (3 patients) of the rotator cuff. Based on these results, ultrasonography is comparable with arthrography for evaluation of the rotator cuff, so we think that ultrasonography can be used as the intial imaging test for the rotator cuff tear.

本研究の目的は,反応拡散モデルを空間離散化した場合にあらわれるカオス的な動きをするパルスの出自の解明と,その普遍性を明らかにすることであった.結果として,P-modelおよびGray-Scottモデルにおいて,カオス的パルスの存在が示され,特にP-modelにおけるカオス的パルスの出自については,数値的に解の大域構造を得ることに成功し,2つの経路を経て,カオス的パルスが出現することがわかった.周期的な振る舞いからカオス的な振る舞いへの遷移は大きく分けて"Intermittency","周期倍分岐","トーラス分岐を経るもの"の3つに大別されるが,我々が対象としているカオス的パルスは,"Intermittency"および"周期倍分岐"の2通りの遷移により生じていることが判明した.また,連続モデルとの関係において,粗い空間離散化により,カオス的パルスが得られるパラメータ領域において,細かな,つまり十分連続モデルの近似となっているような接点数でのシミュレーション結果は,興味深いことに動きのないスタンディングパルス定常解であることがわかった.これは,これまでの空間離散化の影響に関する研究が主にスカラー反応拡散方程式のフロント解に関するものであり,その場合には,動いているフロント解が離散化の影響により停止するというものであったが,それとは全く異なる結果である.つまり,空間離散化により,停止しているものが動きはじめる場合があるというはじめての例である思われる.これらの成果については,フランスにおける国際研究集会「Invasion phenomena in biology and ecology」において発表を行った.
