グレーティングカップリング表面プラズモン共鳴法は、金属で覆われたグレーティング基板上に入射した光の波数にグレーティングベクトルが足し合わさることによりプラズモンの波数と一致してSPを共鳴励起する方法であり、プリズムを必要としないことなどから、実用的なセンサーへの応用が検討されてきている。本研究では、金属グレーティング上での白色光照射多重励起型表面プラズモン共鳴現象を利用したセンサーへの応用を行ったので報告する。また、可視域で大きなエレクトロクロミズムを持つPEDOT-PSS/テルピリジン鉄錯体ポリマーを用いて、センシング感度の向上を試みた。

Shear friction between the steel base plate and base mortar contributes to the shear resistance of standard column bases. A value of 0.5 is adopted as the coefficient of shear friction in All's design specifications, but the associated background data are limited. To investigate the dynamic shear resistance behavior between the base plate and mortar, a shake table study is undertaken using a large rigid mass supported by steel contact elements that rest on mortar surfaces fixed on the shake table. Horizontal input accelerations are considered for various magnitudes and frequencies. The results provide a constant friction coefficient during sliding with an average value of 0.78. Comparisons with previous test and numerical analysis are also carried out, and good correlation among them is noticed.

テキストベースの情報メディアの一種に,文字の形状や濃度を利用して絵や自然画像を表現するアスキーアートがある.一般的なアスキーアート作成手法では,作者や作成日時などの属性情報を別に記録する必要がある.しかし,流通の過程でそれらの属性情報は失われる可能性がある.そこで本研究では,1 対1 であった文字と輝度の交換テーブルを1 対多とすることにより,アスキーアートに情報を埋め込む手法を考案した.本論文ではその考えに基づき,埋め込み可能容量を増大しながら出力画質を向上させる手法について示す.また,階調数を高く設定したうえで入力画像の特性を考慮した文字数選定を行うことにより,出力画質と埋め込み情報量をともに向上させることができることを実験により示した.本研究の結果,出力データサイズに対して最大21%程度の情報埋め込みに成功した.The ascii-art is one of techniques to the text based image representation, and it is using density or outline shapes of black-and-white dots on the character structures. Although, the ordinary ascii-art is not combined to the attribute informations, thus the separated records would be lost, easily. Therefore, in this research, we try to build up the information-hiding techniques for ascii-arts, and it applied a substitution table of the brightness to the many selectable characters for embedding secret messages. According to the experemental evaluations, the proposal technique increased the capacity of embedding with improving the quality of image, and these were upgraded by the optimizing method to the band-width of gray scales, moreover. As a result of this research, we realized that the embedding capacity about 21% at maximum to size of the cover data.

A 53-year-old woman was admitted because of hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Elevated diastolic blood pressure, hypertensive retinopathy and renal dysfunction indicated malignant hypertension. Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortisol levels were high although there were no Cushingoid features.One mg dexamethasone administration decreased neither ACTH nor cortisol levels. Brain magnetic resonance imaging revealed a left pituitary tumor (7 mm × 6 mm). Upon removal, the tumor showed positive ACTH staining by immnohistochemistry, and was diagnosed as pituitary ACTH-secreting adenoma (Cushing's disease). Her blood pressure, renal function, blood glucose and hormone levels subsequently improved. Malignant hypertension and deteriorated diabetes mellitus may have been due to subclinical Cushing's disease.(Intrenal Medicine 41: 566-570, 2002)
