標準MRI撮影中の体動により画像上に生じるアーチファクト(偽像)の除去手法について述べる.臨床診断においてしばしば問題となる呼吸に伴う頭部の上下移動を想定して位相エンコード軸(Y方向)のみの剛体平行移動を扱う.従来の発見的な繰返し処理による除去法と異なり,本論文では,MRI撮像過程と画像の特性の解析に基づき,MRI信号中の体動成分と画像成分を単純な代数演算により分離できる新しい拘束条件を導出する.MRI信号に対して読出し方向(X方向)の1次元フーリエ変換を行った後のY方向スペクトルの位相値は,画像自身の成分と体動の成分の和になっている.一方,頭部などの断層像において周囲の皮下脂肪部分の密度はほぼ均一であることが知られており,その上のY方向の1ラインの密度分布は対称とみなせる.密度関数が対称の場合には,スペクトルの位相は位置に対して,線形的に変化する.従って,その線形関数からずれた成分を体動として分離できる.この拘束条件に基づき,根拠の明確なアーチファクト除去手法を提案する.更に,体動の変動が激しい場合や,対称性がくずれる場合における影響を解析し,それに対する対応策も検討する.シミュレーションにより,本手法の有効性を明らかにする.

連続な壁面の力覚提示を実現するための遭遇型力覚提示システムを試作した。手の追従に際し, 位置制御と, 接触時の力制御を円滑に切替ることにより, 小型パネルによる連続的な仮想壁面の表現を実現した。

This is a study on the exhibition project "Violated Perfection: the Meaning of the Architectural Fragment" in the Gallery 400, College of Architecture, Art and Urban Planning, The University of Illinois at Chicago and its background. The purpose of this research is that will make investigation into the truth about the reason that they used a word "Fragment" in the epoch, the relationship between the word and a word "Violated Perfection", and what happened in The University of Illinois at Chicago, and that place the credit of two architects, Paul Florian and Stephen Wierzbowski, in Chicago for the exhibition project on architectural history. No exhibition "Violated Perfection: the Meaning of the Architectural Fragment" in The University of Illinois at Chicago was ever held, as they could not get the financial support to make it happen. Consequently, "VIOLATED PERFECTION Architecture and the Fragmentation of the Modern" was published as a book, authored by Aaron Betsky, from a concept developed by them. At a later time, MoMA held the exhibition "DECONSTRUCTIVIST ARCHITECTURE" based on the exhibition project "Violated Perfection", by Philip Johnson and Mark Wigley. However, Florian and Wierzbowski are not well known in the world. The credit of this two architects should be appreciated all over the world.

The Townsend first ionization coefficient α, electron attachment coefficient η and effective ionization coefficient α^^- (=α-η) in SF_6 and xenon gas mixtures were measured by the steady-state Townsend method for 22.6 &les; E/p &les; 94 V・mm^<-1>kPa^<-1> and mixture ratios of 10:90, 25:75, 50:50, 75:25 and 90:10. The limiting E/p in SF_6-Xe, (E/p)_<lim>, which represents E/p for α/P=n/P, was derived from the pre-breakdown current growth measurements, which varies approximately linearly with SF_6 concentration in the SF_6-Xe gas mixtures.

Some factors that affect the occurrence and termination of quiescence in nymphs of Dermatophagoides farinae, were examined. The mites aggregating on the rims and covers of culture bottles were collected when the mite populations were increased. They were kept at 25℃, 75% relative humidity (RH), without food. After 1 month, about 20% of the mites passed into quiescent state, and a half of them remained quiescent for 5 months at 25℃, 75% RH, and further 5 months at room temperature. Most of the quiescent mites were protonymphs. They were glued to the substrate such as covering filter paper. Quiescence in half of the 8-week-aged nymphs terminated when they were disturbed by being separated from the substrate, pretreated at 5℃ for 1 week, and then incubated at 25℃, 75% RH. But the nymphs did not moult by pretreatment of 10,18,and 25℃ for 1 week. The nymphs in age of 20-week or more moulted even when they were continuously incubated at 25℃ and 75% RH, if separation from the substrate was made. The moulting rates depended on age in the nymphs; the older the nymphs, the faster the moulting. However, the nymphs glued onto the substrate remained quiescent. Moulting of nymphs with age of 22-week or more was suppressed by incubating them at lower temperatures than 25℃, or lower than 55% RH. The contact of the quiescent nymphs with water for 3hr enhanced moulting even when they were incubated at 33% RH. These results suggest that quiescence in nymphs of D. farinae observed in the present study might also involve a very similar phenomenon to diapause.
