テイラーによるr科学的管理法」がアメリカで産声を上げたのが19世紀の終りから20世紀の初めにかけてである。この「科学的管理法」が彼が所属したミッドヴェール製鋼会社,並びにベスレヘム製鋼会社だけに留まらず,アメリカの鉄鋼産業の大部分に,さらにはシカゴの食肉包装とデトロイトの自動車産業へと普及され始めたのは1910年代のことである。またフォードがT型1車種の限定生産を挙行し,いわゆる「大量生産体制」の確立を確固たるものとしたのが1909年から1927年にかけてである。テイラーシステムとフォードシステムの内実を規定し,特徴づけるアメリカの経営経済的条件,或いは社会的条件とは一体何か。この点を数稿かけて解明することとしたい。本稿においては,テイラーシステム出現前にとりわけ東部の機械工業企業で支配的に見られた内部請負制度を取り上げ,まずその特質と意義を把握すると同時に,その解体の原因を解明した。また解体後の新たな動向についても考察を試みた。

急性中耳炎,急性下気道炎を反復するIgG2欠乏症の乳幼児を対象に静注用免疫グロブリン製剤(IVIG; GB-0998)による感染予防効果を多施設共同研究で検討した.初回300mg/kg体重, 2回目以降は200mg/kg体重, 4週毎, 6回投与のIVIG療法はIgG2欠乏,抗肺炎球菌特異IgG2抗体欠乏を呈して急性中耳炎,気管支炎もしくは肺炎を反復する乳幼児の感染予防に有用であることが示された.

A two-year-old castrated male Pomeranian dog was referred with the chief complaints of coughing and subcutaneous emphysema. On physical examination, the crepitant areas were palpable. When auscultated, the right chest was absent of respiratory sound, while the sound of the opposite side was enhanced. Radiographs presented pneumothorax and pneumomediastinum. On computed tomography, hypoattenuated bulla-like lesion at right middle lung lobe and trapped air in mediastinum were shown. After patient stabilization, surgery for excision of affected lobe was performed. During follow-up period, there were no recurrence and complication on radiographic examination. Based on clinical and pathological findings, the dog was diagnosed as congenital lobar emphysema.

ソーシャルメディアにおけるコミュニケーションは世論形成においてどのような影響を持ちうるであろうか。東日本大震災を契機に Twitter や Facebook の普及率が急増し、今後は政治的コミュニケーションメディアとしての利用が予想される。また震災と同時に発生した原子力発電所の事故によって原子力発電の政策に対して人々は選択を迫られている。本研究は、争点として原発の賛否問題を取り上げ、Twitter 上で得られる個人の発言とそこから得られる様々なネットワーク指標に加え、社会調査で得られる個人の意見、知識、価値観などの心理的態度のデータとを結びつけた分析によって Twitter による世論の形成過程を明らかにする。

『関東名残の袂』(宝永五年〈一七〇八〉三月刊)は、江戸の立役中村七三郎の最期物語である。本稿は、『関東名残の袂』が作中で引く七三郎出演狂言について、その描くところの信頼性を確認、次いで得意芸の利用を具体的に示し、七三郎臨終の場についても検討を加えた。まず、七三郎の出演作を引く章段であるが、本文の記事については、配役など正確に狂言の内容を取り入れていた。だが、挿絵には、共演する役者の定紋が相異している例も見られた。次に、七三郎の得意芸をかすめた章段として、巻二の一(本間事)・巻二の三(猫又)・巻三の三(狐)を取り上げた。猫又と狐の場合、これらの所作を得意とした七三郎が、逆に化かされるところに趣向がある。また、七三郎の臨終場面については、『曽我物語』の翻案である可能性を提起した。

Background:The postoperative changes in the coagulation-fibrinolysis system and the association between the system and postoperative course of patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) who have undergone pulmonary endarterectomy (PEA) remain unclear.Methods and Results:Between 1986 and 2013, 117 patients (55.1±11.2 years, preoperative mean pulmonary arterial pressure 46.5±10.5 mmHg) underwent PEA, and 15 patients died during the perioperative period. We studied the association between the preoperative coagulation-fibrinolysis markers and surgical outcomes of all patients, and the long-term outcomes of the 102 survivors from the date of PEA. We also investigated the postoperative changes in coagulation-fibrinolysis markers and their association with residual pulmonary hypertension (PH) in 20 consecutive patients. Only an elevated factor VIII level was associated with perioperative death. Thrombomodulin and plasminogen values were significantly increased after PEA. Univariate logistic regression analysis revealed that D-dimer positivity at follow-up was a risk factor for residual PH. Patients with both an elevated fibrinogen level (≥291 mg/dl [median]) and decreased plasminogen activity (<100% [median]) had significantly worse disease-specific survival than the other patients (5-year disease-specific survival: 84.0% vs. 100%, respectively; P=0.0041 [log-rank test]).Conclusions:Preoperatively high fibrinogen and low plasminogen values in patients with CTEPH are associated with poor long-term postoperative outcome. PEA benefited not only the pulmonary hemodynamics but also the coagulation-fibrinolysis system of patients.

To maximize the value of jury deliberations, it is important to recognize how lay citizens in a mixed-court jury think about communication during deliberations. In this study, we analyzed jury deliberations during a mock mixed-court jury trial to examine situations in which jurors feel satisfaction or otherwise, and the situations in which they agree with an opinion. We examined several forms of data: A videotape of the deliberation process; pre- and post-trial questionnaires completed by six jurors who participated in the mock trial; and post-trial interviews with the same jurors. Some jurors thought that the opinion needed to be well-founded, and a juror who agreed with that thought was satisfied with the deliberation process. However, those jurors who were unable to discern the reasoning behind the opinion were not satisfied with the deliberation process. If there are relationships between satisfaction and agreement with the rule, these findings suggest that communication during deliberation needs to appear valid not only from the point of view of an observer but also from the perspective of jury members.
