3歳から84歳までの健康男子123例を対象として夜間睡眠時勃起現象 (nocturnal penile tumescence: NPT) と血中 free testosterone (以下FT) を測定し, その関連性を検討した. また6例の原発性低ゴナドトロピン性類宦官症例にも治療前後で同様の検討を行った.全年齢を通じ, 血中FT値と相関を認めたNPTの指標はNPT時間, 一回あたりのNPT持続時間, 陰茎周最大増加値そして陰茎周最大増加率であった.NPTの各指標毎にピークとなる年代で対象例を2群に分け検討すると, ピークとなるまでに血中FT値との相関を認めたのは, NPT時間, NPTの回数, 一回あたりのNPT持続時間, 弛緩時の陰茎周値, 陰茎周最大増加値, 陰茎周最大増加率の6項目全てであった.また6例の類宦官症例では, 治療後にNPT時間, 一回あたりのNPT持続時間, 陰茎周最大増加値, 陰茎周最大増加率が有意に増加した. これらのNPTの指標の増加に血中FT値の増加が重要なことがわかった.ピーク後もNPT時間, 一回あたりのNPT持続時間そして陰茎周最大増加値, 陰茎周最大増加率は血中FT値と相関を認め, これまで陰茎血管系の加齢性変化が主な原因とされた陰茎周最大増加値の減少傾向に, 血中FT値の低下も関与していることがわかった.今回の検討から, 勃起能を表すNPTが androgen の影響を強く受けていることがわかった.

思春期あるいはそれ以前に開始されるスポーツトレーニングが初経発来に,どのような影響を及ぼすかをアンケート調査した。筑波大学の女子運動部員174名を対象とし,体育学の立場から,各スポーツの運動量により,激しいスポーツをA群100名,比較的軽いスポーツをB群74名とした.特別な運動歴のない本学一般学生137名を対照群とした。1.身長:対照群157.0±4.1±cm(Mean±SD),運動選手161.5±6.1cm(p<0.001),体重:夫々51.0±5.0kg,55.4:±6.6kg(p<0,001).2.初経年齢:対照群12歳7.7月±12.2月,運動選手12歳9.9月±13.4月(A群12歳10.5月±13.7月,B群12歳9.2月±13.1月).3.トレーニング開始年齢別初経年齢:各年齢群とも平均初経年齢は12歳6月から13歳の間にあり,特定の傾向は認められない.4.トレーニング開始時期と初経年齢:初経発来前よりトレーニングを開始した老の初経年齢は13歳1.4月±13.1月と遅延(p<0.001).初経発来後にトレーニングを開始したとする老の初経年齢は12歳0.6月±9.9月と早い(p<0.001).運動量による影響を調査するためにA群とB群に分けて検討した.A群では,初経前トレーニング開始者の初経年齢は13歳3.O月±13.1月と遅延(p<0.001)し,初経後開始者では11歳11.O月±6.6月と早い(p<0.001).B群では,ほぼ同様の傾向を示すが,統計学的な有意差はない.スポーツトレーニングの初経発来に及ぼす影響を調査した結果,以下の結論を得た.非常に早期に,若年齢のうちから激しいスポーツトレーニングを開始すると初経発来を遅延させる。

This paper investigates whether the form of the legislative institution - assembly versus parliament - affects the level and composition of local public expenditure. We collect data at the commune level in Switzerland over the period 1945-2010 and use two research designs: fixed-effects and regression discontinuity (RD) based on local population. Analyzing communes that switched the form of their legislative institution over time, we find that introducing a parliament leads to a 12 percent increase in both general administration and education spending per capita and an increase in total spending and revenue of about 6 percent. In contrast, regression discontinuity estimates cannot be distinguished from zero for any spending category or overall. These contrasting results highlight the local nature of discontinuity estimates since population is an order of magnitude larger in our switcher sample compared to the RD sample. To understand the mechanism at play, we run a survey among assembly participants and document a sizeable under-representation of 20- to 40-year-olds as well as of women in town meetings compared to both the electorate and to voters in elections. Switching from assembly democracy to parliament thus increases the representation of two demographics that are known for their relatively high preference for education spending.

Chikubetu coal mine situated in Hokkaido, their area are about 3, 000 hectares, estimated available reserves about 43, 000, 000t, in which about 2, 900, 000t mined out.The largest difficulty we met on the rationalization process was how to deal with the mudstone, which we found under side of coal seam. This mudstone containes a lot of bentonite and very brittle.At the same time, it absorbs water very easily and increases itself.Therefore, it was very difficult to maintain the gallery, which was excarvated in this rock seam. As the first adequate measure for that, we excarvated the transportation gallery in the other harder floor rock, and we adopted the so called“Pocket mining system”.As above mentioned, our suitable measure for the brittle and absorbable mudstone rock seam led us to The mechanization in face and rationalization of the transportation system, and we could get the large output of coal in face.Well, we will describe this rationalization process in more detail as follows ; after we succeeded the“Kappe mining system”, we excarvated the great transportation cross cut as the first step to rationalization of Transportation system.(“Kappe mining system”is a mining system, in which we use the Kappe-iron beam, iron prop and armed conveyer)Then, as the second step, we tried to concentrate the coal face, rationalize the incline belt shaft and armed conveyer gate road. After that, we adopted the so called“slicing mining system”as we see it today.The great effects of rationalization were increase of output per man shift, and decrease of mining cost.The output per man shift became 7 times larger than before, total coal output 10 times, mining cost became 13 times.Without adaptation of any new machine and special mining method, we got these good effects by only effective using of our machines and installations.Now we think, our rationalization process till now was the only first step. And we must try to develop the new mining technic as the second step of our rationalization.We believe that, on the base of our above mentioned rationalization, we can develop the new mining Technic in our coal mine, for instance, adaptation of hydraulic prop, hyaraulic transportation of coal, new Technic of shaft sinking etc.Well, we got also good results of safety in coal mine, and this owed to the improvement of our technic and rationalization, we think.We mentioned above only the rationalization of technic, but we must stress here finally the adequateness of our labour management was the important element to the good reconstraction of our coal mine, which was ever facining a terrible crisis.

Hybrid approaches combine computational modeling techniques with low-resolution structural data. Such approaches have proven to be powerful tools to obtain new 3D structural and dynamical information on biological systems. Currently, major applications focus on cryo-EM data. Methods and some applications to construct atomic structural models of new functional states will be reviewed. In addition, possible extension to data from X-ray free electron laser, which currently provides low-resolution data, will be discussed.

本邦において入手できる微量元素製剤にはセレンが含まれていないため、在宅中心静脈栄養 (Home Parenteral Nutrition;以下HPNと略) 管理中にセレン欠乏症を起こす危険性は少なくない。今回、HPN管理開始3年でセレン欠乏症を発症し、これまでに報告のない毛髪形態変化 (巻き毛) をはじめ多様な臨床症状を呈し、院内セレン製剤の投与により一定の症状改善をみた症例を経験した。セレン欠乏症による臨床症状は、重症化すると不可逆となる可能性があり、その予防には臨床症状の慎重な観察とセレン値の定期的なモニタリングが必要である。

A 9-year-old, spayed female Golden Retriever dog was referred to us for lymphocytosis and lymphadenopathy, secondary to suspected chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The dog had a clinical history of anorexia, vomiting and melena lasting two days. The popliteal lymph node contained small-to-intermediate lymphocytes, which led us to suspect low-grade lymphoma. Thickened lesions in the stomach and small intestine were detected by ultrasonography. Histopathology of the popliteal lymph node and small intestine revealed a simultaneous presence of T-zone lymphoma (TZL) and high-grade gastrointestinal (GI) cytotoxic T-cell lymphoma. Large granular lymphocytes (LGLs) were seen on cytological examination. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) revealed that both lymphomas originated in the T-cells. The dog died 15 days after diagnosis, despite chemotherapy.
