ポピュラー・カルチャーのなかで形成される戦争の表象を、ジェンダーの視点から考察した。たとえば、男らしい戦争イメージの形成では、『男たちの大和』『連合艦隊』などの映画、さらに「大和ミュージアム」や知覧という観光、あるいはプラモデルなどが大きく絡んでいる。女らしさやこどもらしさについては、むしろ『ガラスのうさぎ』『火垂るの墓』などの児童書・アニメの影響が大きい。こうした点を考慮し、それぞれの戦争(沖縄戦、原爆、空襲など)が社会的に受容されるうえで主に寄与したポピュラー・カルチャーに着目し、それらを横断しながら構築される戦争イメージについて分析した。

[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to show the effects of the wearing of tight jeans on lumbar and hip movements during trunk flexion. [Subjects] Twelve male subjects were recruited. [Methods] The lumbar flexion angle and hip flexion angle were measured using a dual inclinometer during trunk flexion, with and without tight jeans. [Results] The lumbar flexion angle significantly increased when wearing tight jeans compared to not wearing and wearing of general jeans. The hip flexion angle significantly decreased when wearing tight jeans compared to not wearing and wearing of general jeans. [Conclusion] We suggest that tight jeans might limit normal lumbar and hip movements. So, abnormal lumbar and hip movements induced by tight jeans may be a cause of low back musculoskeletal disorders.

現在のJR桜ノ宮駅は明治中期に私設大阪鉄道が当初春季の観桜客輸送需要に対応するために開設した。その後私設関西鉄道が大阪市内進入の前進拠点として自社の桜ノ宮駅を併設し, 網島からの進入線路も建設した。しかし間もなく大阪鉄道を買収合併した関西鉄道の経営方針の転換によって同社の桜ノ宮駅と進入線路のメリットが減少し, 明治40年に関西鉄道が国有化され国鉄城東線となり, さらに大正2年に元関西鉄道の桜ノ宮駅と進入線路が廃止された。国鉄編入後の城東線改築により旧私鉄時代の駅舎もなくなり, 同じ場所にあらたに設置された国鉄桜ノ宮駅も, 昭和戦前・戦後を通して長らく駅周辺が開発途上のまま, 旧態依然で現在に至っている。 近年ようやく駅周辺の再開発が進展しつつあるが, それでもこの駅がもっとも賑わいを見せるのは, 春の観桜期と夏の大川端花火イヴェントであるのは興味深い。 (英文) The Kansei Railway Co. Ltd., having promoted its influence in railway business world in Osaka in the mid-Meiji period, extended its route to Sakuranomiya station, which was constructed by its rival, the Osaka Railway Co. Ltd., for cherry blossom viewers at a riverside of the Yodogawa, and adjacently built its own new facility as a terminal station. Shortly after, however, the Kansei Railway bought out the Osaka Railway. It consequently acquired the more advantageous terminal station of Minatomachi, then transferred its administrative emphasis into there. Before long in the late Meiji period, the Kansei Railway was nationalised. Moreover, the abolishion of the extended line towards Sakuranomiya station of the former Ksnsei Railway in the early Taisho resulted in survival of Sakuranomiya station of Joto line in Japan National Railway (a railline originally constructed by the Osaka Railway), as an intermediate station. Thereafter the development of area around the station has been made little progress. The station building seems to be of simplicity, despite its location in a large city-it remains the unchanged condition. Although in the recent years a redevelopment project around the station has been gradually proceeding, it is still only in the cherry blossom season when this area extraordinarily livens up. The scene has unchanged for a century.

Today, libraries especially in Japan's universities are changing for the sake of attracting students, because young students have a tendency not to read books. For example, to install the wireless LAN and movable chairs in order to create a more talk-friendly environment. This type of library is called "Staying type library." In view of this situation,we investigate four university libraries,a town library and eight Kosen libraries.Kosen is one of the higher education institutions as universities in Japan. This report will be useful for the future Kosen library.

本論文ではME(最大エントロピー法)に基づくモデルを利用した統計的日本語係り受け解析手法について述べる. 一文全体の係り受け確率は 一文中のそれぞれの係り受けの確率の積から求められると仮定し それぞれの係り受けの確率はMEによって学習した係り受け確率モデルから計算する. この確率モデルは 学習コーパスから得られる情報を基に 2つの文節が係り受け関係にあるか否かを予測するのに有効な素性を学習することによって得られる. 我々が素性として利用する情報は 2つの文節あるいはその文節間に観測される情報 たとえば 文節中の表層文字列 品詞 活用形 括弧や句読点の有無 文節間距離およびそれらの組合せなどである. 本論文では 我々が用いた素性のそれぞれを削除したときの実験結果を示し どの素性がどの程度係り受け解析の精度向上に貢献するかについて考察する. また 学習コーパスの量と解析精度の関係についても考察する. 我々の手法による係り受けの正解率は 一文全体や係り受けを文末から文頭へ向かって決定的に解析した場合 京大コーパスを使用した実験で87.1%と高い精度を示している.This paper describes an analysis of the dependency structure in Japanese based on the maximum entropy models. Japanese dependency structure is usually represented by the relationships between phrasal units called bunsetsu. We assume that the overall dependencies in a sentence can be determined based on the product of the probabilities of all dependencies in a sentence. The probabilities of dependencies between bunsetsus are estimated by a statistical dependency model learned within a maximum entropy framework. This model can be created by learning the features that are useful for predicting the dependency between bunsetsus from the training corpus. We are using information about a bunsetsu itself as features, such as character strings, parts of speech, and inflection types. We are also using information between two bunsetsus as features, such as the existence of brackets or punctuation and the distance between bunsetsus. We compare the performance of our method with and without each feature and discuss the contribution of each feature. And we discuss the effect of the size of the training corpus on the performance of our method. The accuracy of our method for obtaining the dependency of bunsetsus is 87.1% using the Kyoto University corpus when we parse a sentence deterministically from its end to the beginning.

We review recent studies on spatial distribution of asperities, and space-time variations of aseismic slips deduced from analyses of strong ground motions, displacement rates, continuous crustal deformations, and repeated microearthquakes in the Sanriku-oki region along the Japan trench. These various analyses suggest a possible scenario about occurrence of large earthquakes; asperities, which are defined as areas of large slips at earthquakes, repeatedly break when the stresses at asperities are loaded and reach to their strengths by aseismic slips occurring in the surrounding regions. If this scenario is the case and we estimate the strength, extent of asperities, and space-time variations of aseismic slips around the asperities, we will be able to forecast occurrence of large earthquakes to some extent. Moreover, we will be able to simulate the whole subduction process including seismic cycles along a subducting plate boundary if we find a conclusive constitutive law of frictional slip and succeed in estimating detailed distribution of the frictional parameters on the plate boundary. Although loading and generation mechanisms of intraplate earthquakes might not be the same as the interplate ones, the slow slips along the fault surface must play an important role for their generation.
