(目的) 尿道狭窄症に対する内尿道切開術の有効性について検討した. (対象と方法) 当院で内尿道切開を行った尿道狭窄症19例を対象とした.狭窄部位は球部尿道17例,膜様部尿道1例,振子部尿道1例であった.狭窄長は1 cm未満13例,1~2 cmが2例,2 cm以上が4例で,狭窄原因は騎乗型損傷7例,経尿道的手術後7例,骨盤骨折1例,不明4例であった.全例とも手術はガイドワイヤーを併用した,cold knifeによる切開で行った.術後尿道カテーテルの留置期間は5~35日(平均12.8日)であった.術後観察期間は1カ月から139カ月で,術後再狭窄の定義は画像上の再狭窄,もしくは自覚症状の悪化とした. (結果) 術後19例中13例に再狭窄を認めた.術後3カ月,6カ月,5年時点での無再狭窄率はそれぞれ44.4%,38.1%,20.3%であった.再狭窄例のうち7例に2回目の内尿道切開術を行ったが,6例に再々狭窄を認めた.再々狭窄を認めた6例のうち2例に3回目の内尿道切開術を行ったが,2例とも尿道カテーテル抜去直後から再狭窄により尿閉となった.統計学的有意差は認めなかったが,1 cm以上の狭窄例は1 cm未満の例に比べて再狭窄率が高い傾向にあった. (結論) 内尿道切開術の有効性は低く,過剰に適応されている可能性がある.内尿道切開術は長い狭窄や術後再狭窄例に対しては適応すべきではない.

火花点火メタノールエンジンの排気系において, 未燃メタノールの酸化過程には, NOからNO2への変換反応により生成されるOHラジカルが, O2の存在と共に重要であることを, 反応動力学モデルを用いて説明し, 実験結果と対比させた. メタノールの消滅速度は, NO濃度の高い理論当量比付近において最大となる. 一方, ホルムアルデヒド濃度は, O2濃度が高く, しかもNO濃度の低い場合に高くなることが明らかとなった.

現在ソーシャルネット・ワーキング・サービス(SNS)は,テレビや新聞といった既存のメディアと並んで情報収集のツールとして,また知人や友人らと繋がりをもつことでネットワークを構築し,情報の共有などを行っている.東日本大震災時に投稿され拡散した数多くの情報には,結果的に間違った情報であったデマも含まれてしまった.そこで本研究では東日本大震災時にTwitterに投稿された約3億のTweetデータにおいて,リツイート数などを使って情報の拡散状況とデマにつながりやすいキーワードを分析結果を特徴量としたクラスタリングを行うことで,デマ情報かどうかを推定する試みを行う.

4歳齢ホルスタイン種経産牛において食欲不振,頚静脈の怒張および胸垂の冷性浮腫が認められ,心音聴取が困難であったため,臨床的に創傷性心膜炎が疑われた.心臓超音波検査でも心外膜にフィブリン様構造物の付着を確認したため創傷性心膜炎と診断された後に斃死した.剖検の結果,心外膜の絨毛性増殖および心耳部の心外膜下層における白色結節が認められたが,クギなどの異物による創傷性病変は確認されなかった.牛白血病抗体が陽性で病理組織学的検索および免疫組織化学的染色結果より,本症例は心外膜における心膜中皮腫と地方病性牛白血病に起因すると思われるB細胞性リンパ腫が併発した稀な心臓腫瘍の1例と考えられた.

ESR measurements under tensile deformation of vulcanized rubber were carried out by the combination of homebuilt stretching machine with commercially available ESR spectrometer. The changes of radical concentrations during tensile deformation were successfully evaluated by this technique. It was found that the destruction and re-construction of crosslinking structure developed in the samples were well correlated with the changes of radical concentrations during tensile deformation. That is, the broken crosslinking structure by stretching was partly recovered in the sample crosslinked by sulfur. On the other hand, such behavior was minor in the sample crosslinked by peroxide.

様々な置換基を持つ一連のフレロピロリジン誘導体(1)について,密度汎関数理論を使った電子状態計算をおこなった.その結果,(1)をアクセプターとするポリチオフェンベースの太陽電池の開放端電圧が,(1)のLUMOエネルギーと比較的強い正の相関を示すことが分かった.このことは,上記太陽電池の光起電力生成過程がバルクへテロジャンクション機構に支配されていることを示唆している.

Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology expressed its view in September1992 that school non-attendance can occur in the case of any child and that problems in school life often leadto non-attendance. Understanding this, teachers have since worked to deepen their relationships with students,but school non-attendance has not decreased.The author explored causes of school non-attendance, focusing on school, home and personal factors.Through factor analysis, the conclusion was reached that reduction of school non-attendance largely dependson the competence of teachers who directly interact with children.The author conducted a survey in Taiwan, where the environment surrounding children is similar to that inJapan, to investigate teachers' efforts and awareness toward school non-attendance. The survey revealedfollowing differences in teachers' responses between Japan and Taiwan: In Taiwan (1) many teachers do notconsider that school non-attendance can occur in the case of any child, (2) teachers are not sufficiently awareof non-attending students in their schools (outside their own classes), (3) the school's response as anorganization is not sufficient. Teachers who responded that their schools have non-attending students citedhome visits, consultation with managerial teachers, expert intervention and teacher training as necessarysupport.

The hot spots that high pressures and temperatures generate during the bubble collapse process, especially in acoustic cavitation, directly related to the physical and chemical reactions, hi this study, to investigate the possibility of realization for the sake production process, we investigate the MB effects on the composition of sake. The fragrance ingredient in sake is affected by the activities of the hot spot and/or shock waves, resulting in the decompositions and the synthsis of the fragrance ingredient. The ethyl acetate and the ethyl caproate activated to are decreasing by hydrolysis, while the isoamyl acetate is activated by increasing in the dehydration. There are many point which must be clarified, i.e., the oxidation of isoamyl alcohol by affecting the dissolved gas in the solutions.

A 74-year-old man without previous treatment was found to have an IgA paraprotein on serum immunoelectrophoresis and Bence-Jones protein on urine immunoelectrophoresis. Serum IgA level was 2,400 mg/dl with depressed IgG and IgM levels. Bone marrow aspiration revealed infiltration by both promyelocytes and plasma cells. Chromosomal abnormalities were found. Electron microscopy showed that promyelocytes had a lamellar structure arranged in a concentric circle pattern. The case was thus diagnosed as multiple myeloma complicated by acute myeloid leukemia. Complete remission of leukemia was achieved with combination chemotherapy. Acute leukemia tends to occur at a relatively high incidence in patients with multiple myeloma who are treated with alkylating agents. But the appearance of acute leukemia in patients with multiple myeloma without previous treatment is very unusual. The possible relationship between multiple myeloma and acute leukemia is discussed.
