A user survey on Braille transcription and audio recording services for the blind was conducted. The use rates of these two services were both more than 40%. The top two providers of these services were either of Braille transcription or audio recording circles and Braille libraries. Nearly half of the users were using these services at a frequency of once in a few months. The problems faced when using these services were long waiting times for the books to be translated. The difference between these two services were documents to be translated and the frequency: Braille transcription service was used mostly for work-related documents, product manuals, music materials, and technical books whereas audio recording service was used for novels, technical books, magazines, and non-fictions: A certain amount of people were using audio recoding service more frequently, once in a week to a few times a month, than Braille transcription service.

The purpose of this paper is explorning potential for new learning through an ethnographic study in a nanosatellite-developing project generated from among "Nico-TECH:." "Nico-TECH:" is a makers' community spreading like wildfire mainly mediated by NiconicoVideos. "Nico-TECH:" has no institutional organizasion. It is "Social Media Satellite Development Project" (SOMESAT) which is the project for developing a nanosatellite on which "Hachune Miku" (Hatsune Miku) does performance in the space. From the result of the ethnographic study, SOMESAT was able to be taken as a goal-oriented project, and also a zone of human development such as a distributed, mobile and multidirectional pulsation. Activities which realized such a human development were partially mediated by architecture of NiconicoVideos to stimulate emergence of contents and ideas, and by a boundary crossing body of Hatsune Miku's character. This paper must show potential for new learning and give some kind of suggestions about school education in the future.

Animal study in modern psychology has started as animal model study for general theory of human behavior. I examined pigeons and songbirds as models of human visual cognition and human auditory cognition respectively. Due to difference in anatomical structures and evolutionary history between the birds and humans, research to understand human cognition by avian models has limitation. On the other hand, researches with birds, far distant animals from human beings, are crucially important to understand visual and auditory cognitive faculty in general, because these faculties are not human-specific but widely spread in animal kingdom.

This research deals with determinants of perception of social consensus between the self and ingroup in the minimal group paradigm. Specifically, we predicted that ingroup projection would shield the individual from threats because connection with ingroup members could provide comfort and validate self-concepts. The results confirmed our hypothesis that the manipulation of self-threat invokes enhanced ingroup projection, whereas outgroup projection was not affected by threats to the self. These results are consistent with the previous literature that ingroup members are judged to be similar to the self. Adding to these findings, our data imply that when people are under threat, they tend to project their own traits onto ingroup members for the purpose of self-protection. The findings are discussed within the context of the potential use of self-ingroup relationships as self-defense mechanisms.

症例は26才男性で,急性左心不全で入院した.心電図は心室内伝導傷害と前側壁心筋梗塞の所見を示した. CPKは最高10470IUに上昇し, LDHは6620IUに上昇した.入院第51病日に心臓カテーテル検査を施行した.左室造影では心筋収縮能はび漫性に低下していた.選択的冠動脈造影では左冠動脈主幹部に長さ1.6cmの辺縁が平滑な50%の狭窄を認めた.また,前下行枝に長さ2.8cmにわたり冠動脈内陰影欠損を認めた.血中ウイルス学的検査でムンプスウイルス抗体価が有意に変動した.発症1年後の右室心内膜心筋生検から心筋炎と診断した.以上より,冠動脈病変を呈したムンプスウイルス心筋炎と診断し,冠動脈病変の病因として冠動脈炎が考えられた.

To prevent hypertension, which can cause various diseases, it is important to improve lifestyle habits such as eating habits. Bananas are rich in GABA, which has been reported to have hypotensive and stress-relieving effects. To evaluate the effects of long-term banana intake on blood pressure, defecation, and mental state, a randomized, parallel-group clinical trial was conducted. 78 Japanese with high blood pressure took either of the two bananas with different GABA contents for 4 weeks or did not take bananas. As a result, systolic blood pressure was significantly lower in both banana intake groups after ingestion compared with before ingestion. In addition, the number of bowel movements, the number of days of bowel movements, and the amount of bowel movements significantly increased. Significant improvements in the subjective questionnaires "fatigue" and "tension" were also observed. These results suggest that banana intake may have the effect of lowering blood pressure, promoting defecation, and improving mental state.
