In this paper, we discuss an effective method to retrieve pieces of information from a different viewpoint. The main purpose of retrieving such information is to support human divergent thinking. Brainstorming is a well-known method for supporting human divergent thinking and experience tells us that it is effective that an outsider attends a brainstorming session being held by only experts of the same domain. The goal of our research is to construct a virtual outsider system. The method of information retrieval discussed in this paper is one of the important elements to realize the system. We proposed "An outsider model" to retrieve such information and constructed a prototype system based on the model. Moreover, we discussed what kind of information effectively stimulates human divergent thinking and proposed an subjective evaluation method whether a piece of information is effective for supporting human divergent thinking or not. Using the prototype system, we conducted subjective experiments and evaluated results based on the evaluation method. By these experiments, we got the following results : Using the outsider model, (1) medium relevant as well as medium unexpected information can effectively be gotten, (2) Furthermore, there is possibility to obtain highly relevant as well as highly unexpected information, too. Such information is expected to effectively stimulate human divergent thinking and is hard to be gotten without any mechanism like the outsider model to obtain hidden relevance along with relevance.

本稿はトヨタ自動車における長期勤続者の企業内キャリアの新たな動向に関する事例研究である。1990年代における技能系人事制度改革によって,主にスタッフ機能を担う専門技能職が新設されると同時に,労働組織はライン型組織からライン・スタッフ型組織に切り替えられていった。この一連の改革によって,より上位の管理・監督職へと登りつめていく従来型の「役職昇進型キャリア」に加えて,専門職として技能を深めていく「専門技能職型キャリア」が新たに誕生した。ここでは,50代で勤続30年以上の長期勤続者が大多数を占める16ケースの職場経歴を考察することによって,キャリアの複線化が彼らの職場経歴に及ぼした影響と個人の主体選択について検討している。「新しい職業能力と職業経歴」という視点からみて重要なことは,役職昇進型キャリアを拒否して,専門技能職型キャリアを主体的に選択するケースが複数,存在していることである。熟練職場において高度な専門技能を発揮する新しい働き方が誕生している。

エージェント指向コンピューティングの世界では,それぞれのエージェントが各自の持つ情報を生かしながら協調・合意して問題解決にあたることが求められている.本論文では,議論の導入がこの問題に有効であるとの考えのもとで,次のような機能を持つエージェントシステムを提案し,実際にネットワーク上で現実の問題に適用して有効性を示す.(1)複数のエージェントが各自の知識ベースをもとに議論・反論を行う.(2)反論に行き詰まったら,相手の議論への補強を考えることによって協調を試みる.(3)この2つを行っても結果が定まらないとき,弁証法的な合意形成を行う.In the upcomming networked society, it is desired that several computers on network can resolve conflicting problems or make better solutions through argumentation. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to agent systems where several agents communicate, argue with each other, reinforce other arguments for cooperation and finally make a dialectical agreement through argumentation from distributed knowledge bases. By applying it to a variety of application, we show the potential and practical usefulness of the system.

本文では網膜及び第1次視角野(V1)のしくみを次のように説明する.網膜では双極細胞が脱分極型と過分極型があり,光によってインパルスを出さず電位を変化しており,その電位にアマクリン細胞が間隙接合するので時間遅延したインパルスが加わり,動いた物体の像と静止物体の映像データを別にして送り出す.網膜の神経細胞と第1次視角野V1の神経細胞を接続する線路を視床で制御する.V1の眼球優位のカラムでは映された映像データの活動を短期記憶ループ群で集積し,上位の領域や他の活動領域に転送しており,他の領域に転送する際には元の短期記憶の活動を消去し,更新する状態に混入するのを防止する.脳の回路網に映された活動が解読され,海馬に集められてチェックを通り抜けた活動が実行に移される.

ここ数年間にマイクロ波,ミリ波受動回路解析技術は2次元から3次元問題に大きく進展し,その成果を生かしたソフトウエアが市販され始めている.その結果,回路設計者は各々の問題に適した解析手段を容易に入手できるようになった.そこで,その選択基準を具体化するため,汎用3次元電磁界解析法の内でCADツール化に有望視されている有限要素法(FEM)と差分時間領域法(FDTD法)の二つのプログラムを用いて同一の回路構造を解析し比較した.

近年の情報通信技術の発展やマルチメディア技術の向上に伴い、図書館システムも従来のような目録などの二次情報にとどまらず、全文情報をコアにした一次情報も電子化し、提供するサービスが求められている。「infocom OpenLibrary」は、こうしたニーズに対応、WWWブラウザを利用したオープンな環境と、SGML/XMLを高度に活用したテキスト情報やイメージ情報など、さまざまなデータの検索・閲覧環境を提供する「電子図書館システム」である。

明治6年1873、白川県 (明治22年熊本県と改称) は文部省布告に従って、県下の医師で家塾において医療教育を行っている者に対し、本人の住所・姓名・年令、弟子の族籍・姓名・年令、診療する医療の種類について、調査報告を提出させた。35家の報告書には塾則や使用教科書を附属させて医療教育のありようが記入されている。この報告書に記入されている諸データを分析し、明治初年における医療教育の水準を考察し、近代化への道筋において医療の知識普及がどのようになされたか、を考察する試みである。

MRI angiography is useful for the diagnosis of blood vessels and blood flow. The phase contrast method is suitable for quantitatively evaluating blood flow velocity because it is reflected in the phase. However, the velocity is low near the vessel wall, and the effect of the dephasing cannot be ignored in this region. On the other hand, the vessel wall is static and the effect of dephasing could be weak. The maximum velocity in the blood vessel also seems to be an accurate parameter because of the weak effect of dephasing. The static and maximum velocity regions therefore seem helpful for extraction of the vessel region, although the influence of the relaxation times and sequence parameters on dephasing have not yet been clarified. In this study we investigate the effects of these parameters on the measurement accuracy of the velocity and design a simple method for the regional extraction of blood vessels. The relaxation times, T_R, T_E and VENC, influenced the accuracy of velocity measurement. Although no dominant parameter was found among them, several combinations of parameters resulted in a significant difference in accuracy. The standard deviation of the phase in the static region increased with increasing relaxation time. We also extracted the popliteal artery region by growing the region until the phase reached a threshold value. This threshold value was set based on the standard deviation of the area in a static region. This method was found to be suitable for extracting the blood vessels from MR images obtained when using the phase contrast method.

研究開発や企業活動の推進には,知的財産制度の有効な活用が不可欠である。知的財産制度は,特許制度,著作権制度をはじめとして,多数の法制度からなり,しかも,それぞれ異なる法制度設計のもとに構成されており,それぞれの制度を適切に使い分けてその活用を図ることが重要である。そこで,本連載では,研究開発や企業活動の推進に資するために,知的財産に関する法制度の現状と利用の実態,今後の課題等について,各制度の体系,現状と活用状況等について,分析し,報告することとし,第1回目として,知的財産法制度の中核である特許法制度の現状と課題について報告する。

我々はカメラ付き携帯電話により種々の媒体から電子透かしをリアルタイムに検出し, 検出した情報に関連するWebページ, 動画, 音楽をユーザに提示するシステムを構築した. 撮影画像はオリジナル画像に回転, スケーリング, あおり変換を統合した平面射影変換が加わっているため, 電子透かし検出の前処理として逆変換を行いオリジナル画像と同じ幾何形状に戻す必要がある. 逆変換パラメータを求めるための特徴点として画像外形コーナを検出する場合, ハフ変換による外形直線検出やコーナパターンマッチングなどの一般的な画像処理アルゴリズム利用では携帯電話端末内のiアプリ処理系で数十秒〜数十分を要し実用的ではない. 本論文では, ハフ変換やパターンマッチングに比べてiアプリ上の処理時間が1/100以下で画像外形コーナを探索可能なSide Trace Algorithm(STA)を提案し, 携帯電話端末実機を用いた評価実験によりその性能を実証した.
