The authors have been developing a pulmonary mechanical simulator in order to establish a design parameters of a novel artificial cardiovascular devices. In pulmonary circulation, interactive pressure-flow changes are regulated by pulmonary impedance characteristics. We focused on the native impedance characteristics variation in the pulmonary circulation. To examine the effect of respiratory control on pulmonary resistance, we measured pulmonary arterial pressure and flow in adult goat under the different respiratory settings with open/closed-chest condition. Pulmonary input impedance in two respiratory conditions under the anesthetized open-chest positive pressure ventilation (PPV) and the awake spontaneous respiration (SR) were calculated. Longitudinal impedance at 0 Hz in SR showed lower than in PPV, and at high harmonic area in SR was bigger than in PPV. In order to examine the hemodynamic response for newly designed artificial internal organs, pulmonary impedance variation caused by respiratory control should be considered. For sophisticated pulmonary resistance model, reproducing the negative pressure condition in the thoracic cavity, and pulmonic vascular resistance regulation might be required.

Adding versatile interactions to imperative programming - C, Java and Android - is an essential task. Unfortunately, existing languages provide only limited constructs for user interaction. These constructs are usually in the form of unbounded quantification. For example, existing languages can take the keyboard input from the user only via the read(x)/scan(x) statement. Note that the value of x is unbounded in the sense that x can have any value. This statement is thus not useful for applications with bounded inputs. To support bounded choices, we propose new bounded-choice statements for user interation. Each input device (keyboard, mouse, touchpad, ...) naturally requires a new bounded-choice statement. To make things simple, however, we focus on a bounded-choice statement for keyboard - kchoose - to allow for more controlled and more guided participation from the user. We illustrate our idea via CBI, an extension of the core C with a new bounded-choice statement for the keyboard.

われわれは1965年10月から冷凍血液を実際に臨床に使用しており,今年3月までに108症例に総計426単位(1単位=200ml, ACD血に相当)を輸血している.まだ凍結洗浄処理方法が完成されたとは云えないが,臨床上では何らの支障なしに安全に使用し得る段階になっている.ここにわれわれの1970年3月までの輸血成績ならびに最近若干の改良を加えたのでその成績を,また血液の供給源として屍体血に着目し,その凍結保存の可能性を実験的に認めているので合わせて報告する.

本研究では歩行ロボットの新形態として,三足歩行ロボットとその歩行制御の一方法を提案する.そもそも奇数脚歩行は従来よりほとんど研究されてこなかったが,三足歩行においては二足歩行の機動性・軽量性と四足歩行の安定性を兼備できることが期待される.本研究では120度回転対称かつ少数のアクチュエータを有する軽量な三足機構を提案し,歩行制御問題を歩様設計と各脚制御の二段階に分離することによってアプローチする.

中国近世語の語彙全体を大別すると、次の2種類になるのではないか。1つは、出自が文言によるもの、もう1つは、出自が所謂"有聲無字"の語である。それは、古代中国語の遺産を受けついでいる点(出自が文言によるもの)と民間庶民の方言・口語("有聲無字"の語)によるものだからである。今回準備した語は、前者が"着[zhuó]、箸(筯)、食、湯"で、元々は文言であった。これらが各々現代共通語"穿、筷、喫(吃)、開水"への「語彙の交替」の様子を中心に示したい。検証方法は、これらの語が明清代北方の代表的資料(《金瓶梅詞話》、《醒世姻縁傳》、《紅樓夢》、《兒女英雄傳》を中心に、《官話類編》、《語言自邇集》等も参考)においてどのような様相を呈しているか調査・分析した。この結果、各作品間では差が見られることが判明した。一方、後者の「出自が"有聲無字"の語」については、"着[zháo]、學、桶、使、拾、落、坐、作(做)"等で、《青海民族研究》編集部の依頼により《青海民族研究》2013年第4期(中国・青海省西寧・青海民族大学)に上梓した。

The authors tried to show that the economical improvements followed by the successful publication and sales of Lady Chatterley's Lover lead to the gradual and important change in D.H. Lawrence's attitude towards his own economical conditions, which may even partly account for his slightly shifted world view, as seen in his later works. Mention is also made to the unpublished memos Memoranda Book, which distinctively shows how Lawrence struggled with the incoming flow of money by the sales of his most notorious novel of his day. His newly expanded income brought about significant changes to his life. Even his exodus from Britain, after the long-term confinement in the United Kingdom because of WWI, would have been impossible without additional income from his various literary activities. The change is quite well illustrated in his Pansies published in 1929, which appearstobe scatteredwithso many uses ofthe word,'money'and itsclosely relatedwords andphrasesinmanyofthepoemscontained. Someofsuchpoemsapparentlyshowthetrail of his thoughts which was changing from contemptuous to condescending ones, especially to people of all classes in the British society in his times. Contrary to the general evaluation of Pansies, the poems are found to be of great value to Lawrencian scholarship especially in the fields of his biographical incidence and poetic works.
