日本を含めた世界中で肥満者が増加しており,その結果として2型糖尿病,脂質異常症,高血圧,脂肪肝,脳卒中,虚血性心疾患などを合併した肥満症患者が増加している.肥満症患者では3%の体重減少でも糖脂質代謝や血圧などの改善がみられるため減量が重要であるが,現実的には食事運動療法のみでは減量できない場合が多く,抗肥満薬の必要性が出てくる.現在,日本ではマジンドールのみが抗肥満薬として認可されているが,リパーゼ阻害薬であるセチリスタットが最近製造承認を受けた.欧米ではリパーゼ阻害薬のオルリスタット,中枢性食欲抑制薬であるロルカセリンやtopiramateとphentermineの合剤などが使用されおり一定の減量効果を認めている.他にも多数の抗肥満薬が開発または治験中であるが,本稿では世界での抗肥満薬の現状と開発状況について概説する.

ブロックチェーン技術による分散台帳を利用する仮想通貨は,二重使用を防止するために,すべての取引で入金額の和と出金額の和が一致すること,すなわち,通貨価値の総量保存則が成り立つことを監査している.仮想通貨を金融業務で用いるには,利息による負債額の時間的増加や返済による負債額の減少を表現できる必要があるが,仮想通貨の安全な運用とは両立しない.本稿は,通貨価値の総量保存則を維持しつつ,利息や返済などの処理を合理的に記述する方法を提案する.提案法では,利息を考慮した融資額を意味する正の仮想通貨と,対となる同量の負債額を意味する負の仮想通貨を同時に発行し,これら 2 種類の仮想通貨の発行者のみが正負の仮想通貨を相殺する.

This study focused on the impressions of robot design in the Japanese robot anime series, “Mobile Suit Gundam”. In Experiment 1, the impressions of robot design were measured using semantic differential method. Results of the factor analysis showed that the impressions of the robot design were illustrated by a three dimensional space, which was spanned by ‘Massiveness,’ ‘Coolness’ and ‘Roundness.’ ‘Moe’ is one of the most important keywords in robot design. The results of a multiple-regression analysis showed that Moe was felt deeply for a massive, cool and box-shaped robot. In Experiment 2, the differences between robots of scale models and super-deformed models were investigated. The results showed that the scale models were designed to be cool and the super-deformed models were designed to be cute.

The objective of this paper is to get clues to improve the environmental conditions of Yamanobe area in Kyoto based on the consideration of their spatial quality. Yamanobe area in Kyoto means the mountainside area of three mountains (Higashiyama, Kitayama, and Nishiyama) which surround Kyoto City. Yamanobe area is historically characterized from the facts that it was funeral area from the ancient times, a lot of discriminated people dwelled there until the recent times from the Middle Ages, there were many shrines and temples, a lot of places to enjoy nature was located there in the Edo era, and so on. Although Yamanobe area was very different from the inner urban area in terms of spatial, social and cultural quality, those two areas have long interrelated each other. However, Yamanobe area is much changed especially in high economic growth period after the second world war. The authors make the changing process clearly based on field studies and analysis of historical maps. Also, we want to extract the spatial quality of Yamanobe area through the analysis. In this paper, we take up Toribeno area (mountainside of the Mt. Amidagamine in Higashiyama area) in Kyoto, that is one of the most typical Yamanobe area in Kyoto.

日本の最西端に位置する長崎県は、東シナ海に突出する半島部と離島部からなる海洋県である。半島部は北松浦や西彼杵、島原、長崎の4半島に分岐し、離島部は北から対馬、壱岐、平戸、五島列島が分布。その県域は九州本島に匹敵するほど広く、海岸線は北方4島を含めた北海道に次いで2番目に長い。それだけに海の幸にも恵まれ、全国でも有数の漁獲量を誇る。

エゾマツの資源造成は1900年代初めより取り組まれ,30年代から60年代半ばまでは人工造林もある程度実行されてきた。しかしその造林地は不成績地が多く,60年代後半以降は造林も極めて少ない。その結果既往のエゾマツ造林面積は3〜4万ha程度に過ぎず,天然更新技術も未確立である。エゾマツ造林の停滞の理由は苗木生産の困難さ,初期成長の遅さ,気象害・虫害等の多発等とされているが,苗木生産上の技術的問題は実質的には解決済みであり,天然林内の小面積補助造林地では被害発生も少なく,他樹種と大差ない成長を示している。エゾマツは環境条件の影響を受けやすい樹種であるが,樹種特性に対応した生育環境の造成や植栽方法の選択で成林は十分可能である。北海道の自然条件に適応し生態的に安定した森林造成や持続的な森林経営の実現のため,エゾマツ資源造成の積極的な取り組みが不可欠である。

One of the common problems faced by many electric utilities concernes with the uncertainty from both load forecast error and generating unit unavailability. This uncertainty might lead to uneconomic operation if it is not managed properly in the planning stage. Utilities may have many operational tools, e.g. unit commitment, economic dispatch. However, they require a proper operating strategy, taking into account uncertainties. This paper explicitly demonstrates how to include the uncertainties to obtain the best operating strategy for any power systems. The uncertainty of the load forecast is handled using decision analysis method, meanwhile the uncertainty of the generating unit is approached by inclusion of risk cost to the total cost. In addition, three spinning reserve strategies based on deterministic criteria are incorporated in the development of scenario. Meanwhile, Mixed Integer Linear Programming method is utilized to generate unit commitment decision in each created scenario. The best strategy which gives the minimum total cost is selected among the developed scenarios. The proposed method has been tested using a modified of IEEE 24-bus system. Sensitivity analysis with respect to the number of unit, expected unserved energy price, standard deviation of load forecast, and probability of load level is reported.
