The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the difference in the ways to carry a baby using a baby carrier on the respiratory response during upslope walking. Fourteen healthy adults participated in this study. We set the individualized walking speed at 30% of the maximum oxygen uptake at 0% grade. The test began at 0% grade walking on the treadmill and increased by 2% every 5 min until 8%. The test was performed randomly in these two conditions: holding an infant model weighing approximately 15% of body weight in front of the subject with a baby carrier (F) and backpack with a baby carrier (B). Heart rate (HR), oxygen uptake (VO2), minute ventilation (VE), tidal volume (TV), respiratory exchange ratio (R), and respiratory rate (RR) were measured and the values from the last 1 min of each grade were averaged. HR, VO2, VE, TV, R, and RR significantly increased with increasing grade in each condition. There were no significant differences in interaction effects in HR, VO2, VE, TV, R, and RR. This study suggests that the difference in the ways to carry a baby using a baby carrier has no effects on the respiratory response during upslope walking at a speed corresponding to 30% of the maximum oxygen uptake at 0% grade until 8% grade.

近年, ペットに死なれた飼い主が, 身近なものを失った場合と変わらない精神的打撃を受けることがしられ, ""ペットロス""として注目されている.ペットロスは特に孤独な老人の場合に, より深刻な様相を呈するといわれている.現代の産業社会においては, 老人は生産活動から遠のき, 人間関係が希薄になって, いわゆる脱社会化現象が起こりやすく孤独に陥りやすい.ペットとの関わりはこのような老人の孤独に対して大きな支援をもたらす.ペットとしての犬の場合にはその特性から飼い主と関わることを心から喜んで飼い主に従う.それは対等な人間関係とは本質的に異なるが, 関係の真実さと, 老人のペースに見合った関係が得られることから, 生命エネルギーが乏しくなった老人にとっては, 人間関係に代わるものを与える援助の手段として積極的な評価が必要である.

本論文では,ゲーミフィケーションの周辺概念であるToolification of Gamesを提案する.「非ゲーム的文脈でゲーム要素やゲームデザイン技術を用いること」などと定義されるゲーミフィケーションでは,ゲームの知見を「後づけ」するために適切なゲームバランスと楽しさの実現が難しい点が問題であった.そこで,通常のゲーミフィケーションと比較したときにゲームと非ゲームの大小関係,主従関係が逆であるようなケースとして,「すでに完成されているゲームの余剰自由度の中で非ゲーム的目的を達成すること」をToolification of Gamesと定義する.Toolification of Gamesにはブランド性,既習性,逃避可能性,自己表現性,物語性などの特徴があり,従来のゲーミフィケーションの問題を改善しうる可能性がある.我々はToolification of Gamesと位置づけられる過去の事例を分析するとともに,三次元テトリスをプレイするだけで3Dプリンタ用の三次元モデルをデザインできるTetris 3D Modeler,およびスーパーマリオブラザーズをプレイすることが募金活動につながるCoins for Twoの開発事例および過去の事例分析を通じて,Toolification of Gamesの位置づけと性質,可能性を論ずる.

本論文では,IoT機器,Webサービス,AIなどの処理を統合して,最終的にゲームコントローラ操作へと変換し既存ディジタルゲームを操作するためのミドルウェア,GameControllerizerを提案する.多様な機器および情報源を既存ゲームへの入力として扱えるようになることにより,新たなエンタテインメントの創出やゲーミフィケーションの構成のための試行錯誤を容易に行うことが可能となる.GameControllerizerはNode-REDにより各種入力情報を既存ゲーム入力に変換するプログラミングを簡便に行うビジュアルプログラミング部,およびハード・ソフト両面のエミュレーションにより実際のゲーム機への入力信号を発生させるゲーム入力エミュレーション部からなる.基礎的な性能評価を行うとともに,多様なユースケース事例を提示することでその有用性を示す.

We retrospectively studied 15 patients, 9 men and 6 women aged 17 to 52 years (mean 28.1 years), who developed cyst formation following gamma knife radiosurgery (GKS) at our hospital for cerebral arteriovenous malformation (AVM). The mean nidus volume was 11 cm3 (0.1-26.7 cm3), and the mean prescription dose at the nidus margin was 20.0 Gy (18-28 Gy). Nidus obliteration was obtained in 9 patients, partial obliteration in 5, and no change in 1. Cyst formation was detected from 2.5 to 13.5 years (mean 6.4 years) after GKS. Three patients underwent craniotomy, and 2 received placement of an Ommaya reservoir. Spontaneous regression of cyst was observed in 2 patients. The outcome of the cyst was unknown in 2 patients, because of no response from the neurosurgeon the patients were referred to. Serial magnetic resonance imaging was performed in the other 6 patients because the cyst size was stable or asymptomatic. These findings suggest that cyst formation following GKS is not a “late complication.” Placement of an Ommaya reservoir or cyst-peritoneal shunt is recommended for cysts with obliterated nidus. Craniotomy should be considered if the nidus is not completely obliterated or the cyst is associated with an expanding hematoma. Serial follow-up imaging is recommended for asymptomatic patients.

In Japan, the expression "New Women" is often applied to those women who published the magazine <I>Seito</I>. The women, including Hiratsuka Raicho, wanted to improve the lot of Japanese women, and they criticized the "good wife, wise mother" ideal taught at girls' schools at the time, an ideal which effectively relegated all females to the status of servants. Among the women, Hiratsuka Raicho's contribution stands out. She identified the marriage system as "a woman's life-long subjection to a husband's power." She pioneered and advocated what came to be known as "partnership life," in which a woman would never have to depend on her partner, and Raicho dared to become a "single mother."<BR>It has been pointed out that Raicho's courageous behavior was influenced by the works of the early feminist Ellen Key. Key's ideas were initially introduced to Japan at the end of the Meiji era. Raicho read some early works as soon as they became available, and she started to translate <I>Love and Marriage</I> in 1913. It took some two years to complete the translation. At the same time, she physically took up "partnership life." In 1919, she further translated and published <I>The Renaissance of Motherhood</I>.<BR>Perhaps surprisingly, a Japanese man, Honma Hisao, was also active in translating and introducing Ellen Key's works during the same period. Initially appearing in the liberal period of "Taisho Democracy," Ellen Key's thoughts were welcomed not only by women but also by men. However, it is debatable whether or not Ellen Key's ideas were really understood and accepted in the same way that Raicho embraced them as a guiding compass in her life. In this paper, we will try to clearly define the characteristic differences concerning the understanding of western women's liberation as it was interpreted by both Hiratsuka Raicho and Honma Hisao.

近年、家庭における子ども虐待が、現代社会の病理現象の一つとして問題視されている。この問題に代表されるような家族の変容あるいは解体といった社会的動向のなかで、教育学の領域でも、これまで自然かつ自明のものとみなされていた家庭の教育機能について批判的に検討することが、焦眉の課題として認識されるようになってきた。ここでは、そうした再検討の試みの一つとして、エレン・ケイの『児童の世紀』に焦点を当てる。そこで展開されている彼女の教育論は、「非入間的な学校(あるいは産業社会)」に対する「人間的な家庭」という二項対立の図式を思考の枠組みとしている。このように学校や産業社会の対立項としてく家庭〉が構想される場合、それは利益社会の原理を徹底的に排除した、一種のユートピア空間として描かれることとなる。本稿では、そのようにユートピア化されたく家庭〉における家族関係の構造を、ケイの『児童の世紀』における記述に即して解明することを目的とする。そのなかで、ケイが描いた〈家庭〉のもつ特徴と問題点を考察し、家庭の教育機能について現代のレベルで問い直すための端緒を見いだしたい。

Topics about today's family problems and women's roles are debated very actively recently. In this context, there is an interst in how &ldquo;the modern family&rdquo; and sexual division of labor emerged in the study of family history and women's studies.<BR>The ideology of motherhood emerged during the period of the women's liberation movement at the biginning of this century : Ellen Key was known as a typical thinker about motherhood at that time. Through her thought, I believe we can understand how people, especially women came to accept the idea of &ldquo;two-sexes-different-but-equal&rdquo; favorably in those days. Her position on this should be clarified in this paper. To understand this better, the socio-economical circumstances at that time in Sweden, her home country, are considered.<BR>She insisted that women shold be seen not as &ldquo;humankind&rdquo; but as &ldquo;womanhood.&rdquo; She thought mtherhood was the very essential core part of womanhood, so she insisted that every wife or mother should stay home all day long, and put her children first, and that that was very rewarding work. Such ideas are considered to contribute to the formation of the ideology that women's place is in the home, by giving high priority to love, marriage and motherhood.

本年1月から3カ月の間に、3カ所、計5機の風車を見学したので、それぞれを簡単に紹介し、読者の参考に供したい。いずれも風車をごく間近に見ることが出来るので、機会があれば諸氏の見学をおすすめしたい。<BR>それらの風車は<BR>1.千葉県機械試験場の加藤式ゼファー風車<BR>2.和歌山県串本町の関西電力のサボニウス、ダリウス風車。<BR>3.和歌山白浜町松下エネルギーランドの2種のペロペラ風車である。

本論文では,時系列データストリームを対象とした自動特徴抽出手法であるStreamScopeについて述べる.StreamScopeはIoTアプリケーションやWebアクセス履歴等の大規模なデータストリームから,(a)自動的に時系列パターンを発見し,(b)それらの特徴を統計的に要約しながら,データストリームを構成するすべてのパターンを明らかにする.また,(c)計算時間はデータストリームの長さに依存せず,ストリームマイニングに適した高速な処理を行う.実データを用いた実験では,提案手法がデータストリームに含まれる特徴的なパターンの種類と変化点を自動的かつ正確にとらえることを確認した.さらに,提案手法はオンライン処理でありながら高精度であり,計算時間について大幅な性能向上を達成していることを明らかにした.

子宮広間膜異常裂孔ヘルニア2例を経験した.【症例1】51歳女性.14歳時,虫垂切除.上腹部痛,嘔気出現し近医受診.症状改善せず,第3病日に当院紹介受診.腹部膨満し腹部全体に圧痛を認めたが反跳痛や筋性防御なし.CT,USで拡張した小腸を認めたが腹水なし.イレウス管を挿入し第4病日に造形した.右骨盤内で小腸の完全閉塞を認め手術適応と判断した.右の子宮広間膜に約1.5cmの裂孔があり,回腸が約20cm陥入,壊死していた.小腸切除と裂孔閉鎖を行い,術後15日目に退院.【症例2】53歳女性.開腹歴なし.朝から腹部違和感,気分不快あり.症状改善せず夕方当院受診.腹部全体の膨隆を認めたが自発痛,圧痛,嘔気なし.CTで拡張した小腸と軽度の腹水を認めた.保存的に経過をみたが嘔吐を繰り返したため第2病日にCT再検.小腸拡張の悪化,腹水増加を認めたため緊急手術を行った.左の子宮広間膜に約2cmの裂孔を認めそこへ回腸が約5cm陥入していた.用手的に整復し,裂孔閉鎖した.術後9日目に退院.
