The use of defatted soybean meal (SBM) in combination with corn gluten meal (CGM) and meat meal (MM) as a partial or complete replacement for fish meal was studied in carp. Fish meal in the control diet with 37% protein was substituted by the combination of those protein meals at levels of 56, 78, 89, and 100%. The effect of supplementation of crystalline amino acids to the 100% fish meal replaced diet was also examined. Duplicate tanks of fish (4 or 6g on average) were fed to satiation at 21±1 or 24±1°C for 9 or 5 weeks.Fish fed the control diet showed the best growth rate, feed efficiency and PER. Replacement of fish meal up to 56% with SBM and CGM gave good weight gain and feed efficiency comparable to the control, but the higher inclusion of SBM, CGM, and MM reduced growth and feed utilization. Supplementation of Lys, Met, and Thr to the 100% fish meal replaced diet markedly improved growth and feed efficiency up to about 90% of the control group.Supplementation of the EAA mixture at levels comparable to those in the fish meal control diet and twice that amount resulted in growth rates of about 87 and 94% of the control group, respectively.

3Dキャラクターアニメーションは実写映画、アニメーション、ゲーム、広告など大多数の映像物に使われている。リアルなキャラクターの動きはモーションキャプチャ(Motion Capture)のような高価の装備を利用し、熟練されたアニメータ達によって作られる。しかし、場合によってはアニメータの個人の感性的基準で作られたキャラクターの動きが観客の普遍的な期待値と違うときもある。これは作られたキャラクタの行動が観客の感性反応に対した客観的な関係式が定められていないからである。そこで本研究は、3Dキャラクタの足つきを対象とし、上記の関係式の抽出と定立のための実験道具として3D Studio MAXscriptを利用した3Dキャラクターアニメーション合成ツールを提案した。このツールをによって足つきと感性反応の間の定量的関係式を求めるための指針を得ることができた。

中世後期イタリアの都市国家フィレンツェは,15世紀半ばからオスマン帝国との間で外交的友好関係に基づく貿易活動を開始した。フィレンツェの中規模な毛織物会社はこの貿易によって活動の場を与えられ,フィレンツェ繊維製品をオスマン帝国まで輸送して販売し,その代金で東方物産を購入してフィレンツェへ輸送する,というオスマン貿易のパターンを確立する。これらの会社が貿易で成功するためには,オスマン帝国で販売した製品の代金を確実に徴収することが重要な条件となっていた。そこで本稿では,1480年代にオスマン帝国で毛織物を販売したグワンティ毛織物会社に着目し,ブルサに駐在したバルトロメーオ・グワンティの駐在員帳簿を基に,彼が行った代金徴収の過程を検討する。検討の結果,バルトロメーオは代金の大半を,バーター取引ないし現金徴収によって遅延なく徴収していたことが判明した。このことは,中規模会社でも確実な代金徴収に基づく国際商業を展開できたことを意味し,大規模会社中心に理解されてきた従来のフィレンツェ商業史像に対し再考を促す事例となるであろう。

Anaplasma phagocytophilum is an obligate intracellular bacterium and causes febrile illness in humans and livestock. A 49-year-old woman was suffering from feverish symptom, fatigue, arthralgia, general body pain, and anorexia for 2 weeks. Later, she visited Bayan Nur Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Hospital in Inner Mongolia, China. Molecular-based diagnostic analysis of the patient’s blood revealed that A. phagocytophilum p44 DNA was positive, but Brucella omp31, spotted fever group Rickettsia gltA, Orientia tsutsugamushi 16S rDNA, and Ehrlichia p28 were negative. The amino acid sequences of 9 A. phagocytophilum p44 clones obtained from the patient shared 44-100% similarity among them and closely related to those of previously-identified p44 clones from canis familiaris (accession no. KJV64194) and from Ixodes persulcatus tick (no. BAN28309). Serological tests using the patient’s serum showed that IgM and IgG titers to A. phagocytophilum antigens were 160 and 20, respectively, determined by indirect immunofluorescence assay and the reaction to recombinant P44 proteins (rP44-1, rP44-18ES, and/or rP44-47) were confirmed by Western blot analysis. Thus, the results obtained in this study strongly suggests that the patient was infected with A. phagocytophilum. To our knowledge, this is a first case of human anaplasomosis infection in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

In our clinic, there were eighteen non-union cases of the upper or lower extremities since 1983. Fourteen cases were operated: twelve cases were operated with the conventional method consisting of refreshment of the non-union sites, fixation with plates and screws, and bone grafts. All cases showed good results.

日本甲状腺学会から甲状腺クリーゼの診断基準が2008 年に発表された.2004 年4 月から2009 年3月に当院で臨床的に甲状腺クリーゼと診断,治療した20 症例を,その診断基準にあてはめ,治療と予後等について解析した.基礎疾患は全例バセドウ病だった.誘因として服用不規則や中断が9 例,感染症6 例,糖尿病性ケトアシドーシス3 例,情動ストレス2 例,脳血管障害1 例,外傷1 例だった.診断基準で確定診断例が15例,疑い例が1 例,除外症例が4 例だった.症状では中枢神経症状が疑い・確定診断例では11 例,脈拍130/分以上は12 例認められたが,除外例では認められなかった.治療としてはチアマゾールが全症例に使用されていた.ヨードは13 例,b ブロッカーは17 例,ステロイドは12 例の症例で使用されており全例救命できた.服用不規則や中断,感染症が誘引となりやすく,症状では中枢神経症状・脈拍が特にクリーゼの診断には重要と考えられた.後遺症を残す重症例は6 例で全て新診断基準によって確定診断された症例であり,新診断基準は予後への有用性も期待できると考えられた.

シクロヘキサノン (以下アノンと略す) 含有ガスを対象とした溶剤回収装置においては, アノンの反応性が高いことおよび活性炭の持つ触媒作用により活性炭層で発熱や着火というトラブルが発生しやすい.そのため, 活性炭の着火に関する基礎実験を行い, 着火の可能性およびその防止法を検討した.この結果, 活性炭の着火の原因と考えられるアノンのCO<SUB>2</SUB>およびCOへ酸化分解反応に関し代表的活性炭について反応速度定数および活性化エネルギーを得た.また, 活性炭の着火を抑制するには, (1) アノン回収用として開発された半径1nm以上のボアに富み, アノンの分解作用の低い活性炭を使用すること, (2) プラント停止時は脱着を極力完全に行い, その際槽内をN<SUB>2</SUB>等の不活性ガスで置換すること, (3) 吸・脱着時における空気あるいは水蒸気流れの均一化を図り, 活性炭層内に温度分布および残留アノン量の極端な分布を生じさせないこと等が効果的であることがわかった.

Influence of the catalyst, solvent and temperature on the fibrous acetalization of polyvinyl alcohol with cyclohexanone was studied. As cyclohexanone is insoluble in water, mixtures of water and methanol were used as a solvent. Degree of acetalization was higher when methanol concentration and temperature of reaction was low. But it was difficult to obtain higher degree of acetalization than 30mol%.<br>Boiling water resistence of the obtained fibers were not sufficient.
