論文The term "Wa" was frequently used to describe the emotional relations within the family during the pre-war period; however, little attention has been paid to the relevance of this term until recently. In this study, we discuss the criteria for emotional relationships between couples in modern Japanese society through an analysis of the language space formed by the edict "husbands and wives be harmonious" from the Imperial Rescript on Education. Our analysis revealed that (1) the authority–obedience relations remained within what the interpreter regarded as proper bounds; (2) the virtue of harmony was interpreted in various ways; and (3) it was considered a relationship that may be damaged by too much emotional arousal. In the conclusion, we critically analyze the traditional framework of thinking that unequivocally defines love, marriage, and relationships between couples.

The Basic Law of Governance in Saudi Arabia stipulates that the king of Saudi Arabia has absolute power in the government of Saudi Arabia. However, after King Abdullah's accession to the throne in 2005, his political powers were limited because of the presence of the so-called Sudeiri Seven, the powerful royal group that consists of the seven sons of King Abdel-Aziz's purported favorite wife, Sheikha Hussa bin Ahmad Sudeiri. The death of the crown prince Sultan in 2011 followed by the death of the next crown prince Naif in 2012, both members of the Sudeiri Seven, weakened the power of the Sudeiri Seven. As a result, King Abdullah's power had increased greatly compared to that of the Sudeiri Seven. Also, the sons of King Abdullah, who occupied prominent governmental posts, were acquiring strong influence in the regime. The death of King Abdullah in January 2015 and Salman's accession to the throne caused changes to the ruling regime in Saudi Arabia. King Salman appointed Prince Muqrin as crown prince and deputy premier, and Prince Muhammad b. Naif as deputy crown prince. King Salman also appointed his son Muhammad b. Salman as defence minister and head of the royal court. Finally, King Salman issued a royal order on January 29 to reshuffle his cabinet and dismiss the governors of the Riyadh and Makka.

プラズマローゲン(Pls)は神経炎症抑制やアミロイド形成抑制効果を有し,アルツハイマー病の治療や予防に利用できる可能性がある。親鶏の皮および筋肉部のリン脂質(PL),特にPlsの組成を調べた。皮のPL画分のスフィンゴミエリン(19%)は,他の3つの筋肉組織(6%)に比べて多く含まれていた。皮PLの21%がエタノールアミンプラズマローゲン(PlsEtn),6%がコリンプラズマローゲン(PlsCho)であった。ムネではPlsChoはPlsEtnの1.8倍多く含まれていたが,モモではPlsChoとPlsEtnは同量含まれていた。Plsの脂肪酸組成としては,皮ではn-6系の20:4や22:4が多く,筋肉組織では18:1が多く検出された。皮エタノール抽出画分(高PlsEtn型)とムネ肉エタノール抽出画分(高PlsCho型)をホスホリパーゼA1処理し,ヘキサン,アセトンおよび溶解分画することにより高純度プラズマローゲン画分を容易に調製できた。皮,ムネとも鶏種および飼育環境の違いによるPL組成の変動は少ないため,親鶏は安定したPlsの供給源として有望であることが確認できた。

近年,格子カイラルゲージ理論の研究が,大きな進展をみせている。Ginsparg-Wilson関係式とよばれる式を用いたカイラル対称性の再定義により,厳密なカイラル対称性が,連続理論と無矛盾に実現可能だとわかったからである。とはいえ,このことは古典的なレベルでの話であり,量子論として,真にカイラルな理論が構成できるかどうかを知るためには,格子上でのアノマリーを議論しなくてはならない。Luscherは,ゲージ場にある条件(admissibility条件)を課すことによって,アノマリーをコホモロジー的な手法を用いて分類できる可能性を示した。その結果,格子カイラルU(1)理論の定式化に成功した。この論文では,格子カイラルゲージ理論の最近の進展についてまとめた。特に, Luscherのadmissibility条件の果たす役割について注目する。

「猫とネズミ」と名付けたゲームを構築し、タラシファイア・システム () の学習効果を調べた。従来のAI的な手法によって記述されたルールが、if (餌がある) then (食べろ) のように明示的に、上位のレベルで表現されるのに対して、ここではルールを明示的に記述することを避け、if (自分の座標・相対速度・残り体力) then (動く方向と力・抽獲行動の有無) のように非明示的に、より下位の物理レベルの記述をしている。また、優秀なルールの系列を積極的に記憶する発火の実績を重視したアルゴリズムを考案し、常に安定して好成績を残すことに成功した。バケツリレー・アルゴリズム () の検証を行うことで、Hollandが主張する橋渡しクラシファイア (idging classifi) の存在も確認された。さらにランダムに設定された初期ルールから、優秀なルールに進化させることで知識の獲得を行なった。これは、ルールを創発 (er) させるという意味で、非明示性をコンセプトとする人工生命のアプローチでもある。Classifier Systems (CS) was applied to the learning of cat and mouse in the simulated "Cat & Mouse" pursuit-evasion game. The traditional explicit rules conventionally taken in the Artificial Intelligence research would be of the type: "if (food exists) then (eat it)". On the contrarily, the rules here is not of this type but ia subject to the lower-level descriptions, such as "if (coordinates, velocity, energy) then (direction and force to move or capture)". The simulation resulted in the rules improved from the initial random default rules: A better rules of a mouse which were able to flee from a cat. The level of the emergence is so low that the intelligent cat or mouse would have evolved in the frame work of the Artificial Life (AL).

The first of these three articles was concerned with the context of Shakespeare's songs, in the plays and the mythological framework within which he was writing. The second is concerned with performance, and how the songs compare with those written for the court and aristocratic patrons by his contemporary, John Dowland, considered to be among the finest English song-writers, alongside Henry Purcell.The article presents an analysis of seven of Dowland's lute songs, the poetic structure but also their musical brilliance and techniques; how an understanding of these is vital to their performance, along with the context in which they were to be sung. Shakespeare became rich by knowing exactly what would sell, and changed according to the climate change after 1601. We have to see all art as conditioned by the climate and context for which it was produced. It is one of the greatest absurdities that all art is treated as serious, even lugubrious, when much of it was produced to lighten the soul in a spirit of fun and frequently sexual delight.Dowland was among the first composers in England to write music which exploited the system of harmonic progressions within major and minor diatonic scales recently devised in Italy, where he spent several years in the early 1590s. His First Book of Ayres composed in this new idiom was published in 1596, the date Romeo and Juliet was staged in London. The sexual freedom of the play is clearly one with the atmosphere relating to sexual dalliance and behaviour among the aristocracy of the 1590s, within which John Donne wrote his Songs and Sonnets and Elegies and Dowland his lute songs.The article describes the nature of the change from modal polyphonic writing, mainly for religious use, and the new harmonic and melodic forms called diatonic music that released the enormously inventive compositions of the next three centuries in Western Europe. Which was for use in secular contexts, principally in the theatre and courtly entertainments. Dowland was early in writing music for the last. In 1598 he became lutenist in the court of Christian IV of Denmark, a possible link to the setting for Hamlet. He returned to London and published in 1605 his Lachrimae, Greek for Tears, which contains the most moving instrumental music for a consort of viols, the string quartet of the time. This music exploited the sorrowful quality of the minor scales for the first time so that it earned the epithet Doleful Dowland. Performance of all his music has tended to relate to this epithet.The change in tastes on the accession of James I, a dour Scot from Calvinist Scotland with an obsession for the evils of witchcraft, had a very obvious effect on plays Shakespeare wrote, the poetry of such as John Donne and music such as that of Dowland. Donne wrote his hatred of Calvin and Luther. The 17th century saw the triumph, then humiliation of Puritans.Performance of Elizabethan music is typically sombre and serious; the escapism and great jollity which it provided for the circles in which it was played is lost. While the article demonstrates the poetical and musical jokes written into Dowland's songs. Shakespeare plays are attended by those who go expecting high language and literature, when plays of the 1590s to the death of Elizabeth I in 1601 were written to entertain an illiterate London populace and a decadent court, who wanted to laugh or be startled by excitements and horror like audiences everywhere. The last Twelfth Night written to lighten the atmosphere of religious conflict and doom as the old queen was dying, mocks posturings of love and is a heavy jibe at the Puritans in the gulling of Malvolio; which reflects the conflict between the Puritan City of London and the aristocratic court of Elizabeth. Romeo and Juliet of the mid-1590s is full of sexual jokes.Dowland's songs cover a very wide emotional range, many of them are courtly dances and others are just plain fun. There are, of course, those which express sorrow and the pain of love in various stages of the lover's progress. The article provides a brief look at this range.
