Communication competence has been widely discussed in the field of communication studies and second language teaching. Acquiring "pragmatic communication compettence" has been one of the major aims of conducting second language teaching in recent years in Japan. Many studies have tried to develop the curriculum and to research effective teaching methods related to cultivating communication competence. The theoretical frameworks and the linguistic components of communication competence, however, have not been sufficiently discussed. Recently, "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, teaching, assessment (CEF)" has been established by the Council of Europe to facilitate plurilingualism, intercultural interactions, and borderless exchanges of workers and students in the EU. CEF is the guideline of foreign language acquisition and it introduces the criteria of the proficiency levels and the target communication competence. To analyze the components of communicative language competences in CEF, this study will contribute to future constructive research related to communication education.

当院に受診した騎手候補生の馬による外傷を集計し, 受傷機転・部位・原因などとその事故防止対策について検討した。当院を受診した騎手候補生は43名で, 提示した2症例以外は外来治療が可能な軽症例だった。受傷原因は落馬 (55%) が最も多かったが, 次いで乗馬中以外での馬の取り扱い時の事故 (31%) であった。受傷部位は下肢 (41%) および頭部・顔面 (20%) が多く, 乗馬外傷を繰り返して起こす者 (21%) も比較的多かった。また, 騎手候補生は入校後6カ月以内に受傷していることが圧倒的に多かったことから, 馬に関する安全教育を入校直後から指導徹底し, 防護用の服や靴を使用すべきであると考えられた。

The purpose of this article is to examine the subversion and maintenance of gender order as portrayed in Japanese baseball comics through content analysis of the images of female managers. The content analysis in this study was based on the idea of "social constructionalism," in which researchers read and interpret the texts subjectively, rather than analyze the texts objectively. For this analysis, four baseball comics describing female managers of senior high school baseball teams were chosen, three of which were popular. The content analysis was conducted with interpretive reading of each comic, interpreting the representation of the female baseball manager from feminist's and queer sociologist's perspectives. The findings were as follows: Firstly, female managers were represented as exceptions, especially in earlier published comics. Secondly, they were resistant to opposition from their players and other persons through demonstration of their power and skills. Thirdly, their femininity was a point of focus and some male characters looked upon them as sexual objects. These items are discussed in terms of Sedgwick's`homosocial desire' and Butler's`subversion' and maintenance of the gender order.

本論文で、われわれは国際オリンピック委員会 (IOC) が主張するスポーツに対する道徳的権限を考察し、それがスポーツに明白で建設的な影響を与えた領域を特定する。また、われわれは1999年を改革の重要な時期とみなし、それ以来の進歩的な改革の勢いに則って、スポーツが直面する重要な問題に取り組むことによってIOCはその道徳的権限をより確かなものにすべきである、と提案する。その重要な問題とは、IOCの運営に関する内部の問題と、スポーツとオリンピック大会に関する外部の問題に分けられる。提案される内部の改革は、IOCの民主的組織 (特に委員資格や地域の代表制や説明責任に関するもの)、IOC会員の男女公平、オリンピック・ソリダリティの試み、そして国内オリンピック委員会の責任に関するものである。提案される外部改革は、スポーツ界における児童の公正な扱い、スポーツ・ユニフォームや用具の製造過程における公正な労働慣行の導入、選手の健康と安全への一層の関心、そしてオリンピック大会の開催地への影響と公平さについての独立した評価の導入、に関するものである。

朱太川水系の過去の魚類相を再構築することを目的として、博物館標本と聞き取り調査を行った。美幌博物館、北海道大学総合博物館水産科学館、市立函館博物館、国立科学博物館において、朱太川水系から採集された魚類標本の調査を行い、13種の魚類標本の所在を確認することができた。しかし、市立函館博物館の1923年以前の標本台帳に記されているイトウ標本の所在は不明であった。また、朱太川漁業協同組合の関係者18名に過去の朱太川水系の魚類相に関する聞き取り調査を行い、42種の魚類の採集・観察歴について情報を得た。同定の信頼性が高いと考えられるのはそのうちの34種であり、地域の漁業協同組合の保護・増殖の対象種であるかどうかと、聞き取り対象者が生息量の増減を認識していたかどうかは、有意に相関していた。カワヤツメなどの氾濫原湿地を利用する魚類の生息量の減少を指摘する回答者が12名いた。現在は見られないイトウが過去に確かに生息していたこと、カワヤツメの生息量が急減したことが聞き取りからほぼ確かであることが判明し、黒松内町の生物多様性地域戦略における自然再生の目標設定、すなわち「氾濫原湿地の回復」の妥当性が確認された。多くの人々が関心をもって観察・採集してきた生物種については、聞き取り調査によって量の変化に関する情報を得ることができる可能性が示唆された。

The ssociation between coronary heart disease and subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) is unclear. We aimed to determine hs-CRP concentrations in patients with SCH. Seventy-seven patients (age 34.6 ± 13.7 yr) with SCH (TSH >4.2 μIU/ml and serum free thyroxine level between 0.932–1.71 ng/dL), and 80 control subjects (age 33.9 ± 13.3 yr) were studied. Thyroid hormones, C-reactive protein, insulin, glucose, total, HDL, LDL and VLDL-cholesterol levels and HOMA-IR index were also determined. TSH levels of SCH group were higher than control (7.4 ± 2.9 and 1.55 ± 0.78 μIU/ml, respectively, p = 0.0001). However, FT4 levels were lower than control subjects (1.18 ± 0.22 ng/dL and 1.38 ± 0.26, respectively, p = 0.001). Serum hs-CRP levels of subjects with SCH were higher than control subjects (4.2 ± 0.8 mg/l and 1.05 ± 0.3 mg/l respectively, p = 0.0001). Insulin levels of SCH group were higher than control (8.5 ± 4.3 μU/ml and 7.1 ± 3.1 μU/ml respectively, p<0.02) but, Homa-IR levels of the two groups were not different. Mean total and LDL-cholesterol levels of SCH group were higher than control (p = 0.01 and p<0.02). We also found a positive correlation between hs-CRP levels and insulin (r = 0.362, p = 0.002 in men, r = 0.358, p = 0.0001 in women), TSH (r = 0.611, p = 0.0001 in men, r = 0.411 p = 0.0001 in women), and prolactin (r = 0.340, p = 0.01 in men r = 0.553, p = 0.0001 in women). Conclusions: Patients with SCH, irrespective of gender, have higher serum hs-CRP, insulin, total and LDL-cholesterol levels than healthy subjects. 2- High hs-CRP level, and thereby low grade inflammation may be associated with fasting hyperinsulinemia before insulin resistance becomes evident in patients with SCH.

医療ミスというのはヒューマンエラーであり、更に多くのミスは単純な確認ミスである。例えば動脈の位置や患者情報の誤認、1桁違いの薬物投与量などがミスの原因である。このような問題に対して異常検知という意味で機械学習というのは非常に有効である。高齢化社会になるにつれ、ますます医師への負担は増えるだろう。その状況下でも絶対にミスが起こらない医療を提供できるようなシステムを構築したい。
