On July 30th 2015, the Editor-in-Chief sent a letter to the corresponding author of the above-mentioned manuscript [1] about the result of survey by the Editorial Committee of e-J. Surf. Sci. Nanotech. According to the letter, the Committee concluded that the above-mentioned manuscript resembles the paper published in another journal [2] too much. 脳情報復号化とは, 脳信号から未知の刺激や課題を推定することを指し, 刺激や課題が与えられたときの脳活動をマッピングする従来の脳機能研究とは対照的なアプローチをとる.本稿では, 復号化の概念と手法を概説した後, われわれのグループが最近発表した非侵襲的脳信号復号化の結果を紹介する.そして, 復号化アプローチの工学的応用や認知神経科学における重要性を議論する.

I reviewed the studies on polyspecific associations between primates and non-primate animals to appreciate the present situation about this topic. I collected 104 case studies from 50 publications. The partner animals included 19 mammal species, 33-34 bird species, 1 reptile species, and 1-2 insect species, respectively. Among them, associations with non-primate mammals (n=43) and birds (n=59) occupied most of the reported cases. Many polyspecific associations between primates and other mammal species were reported from Asia and Africa, while those between primates and bird species were reported from Central and South America. 34 primate species worldwide formed associations with non-primate animals.Polyspecific associations between primates and other animals included 1) that primates (or other animals) provide food resources to their partner animals and 2) that primates (or other animals) provide anti-predator behavior (e.g., sentinel behavior, loud call, and alarm call). The former association increases foraging benefits to the partner animals, and the latter association decreases predation risk of the partner animals. Most studies, however, pointed out that benefit from given associations are commensalisic, (or even parasitism), i. e. biased to non-primate species.Most of these studies are anecdotal, and do not show quantitative data for the frequency of the association or the benefit of partner animals from participating in the associations. Thus, this interesting phenomenon has not been discussed from an ecological perspective. I recommend several approaches for how to overcome these present challenges.

Biological cell is the smallest system in which energy is transformed and information is processed autonomously. This complex and fascinating system is in the far from equilibrium state, and hence can manifest self-excited oscillations. Here we will describe rhythmic locomotion in amoeboid cells, oscillatory responses to chemical stimuli and rhythmic morphogenesis. Their biological and biophysical implications are discussed.

【目的】平成20年3月、新学習指導要領が公示された。小学校家庭科では、「B.日常の食事と調理の基礎」として、「食事の役割」「栄養素の種類とはたらき」「調理の基礎」を指導することになった。「調理の基礎」を指導することは、従来より小学校家庭科の重要課題である。そこで本研究では、新学習指導要領下で実施可能な調理実習教材探求を目的に、小学校家庭科調理実習教材の変遷(戦後~現在)について調査を実施した。 【方法】小学校学習指導要領家庭科編および小学校家庭科検定済教科書(T社およびK社。計28冊)を資料として調査を行った。 【結果】小学校学習指導要領家庭科編は、昭和22年に試案が出され、7回改訂後現在に至っている。昭和22年の試案には、学習題材として「蒸し芋・青菜のひたし・いり卵」(6年)が示された。昭和33年改訂では「野菜の生食・ゆで卵・青菜の油いため」(5年)、「ごはん・みそしる・目玉焼き・こふきいも・サンドイッチ」(6年)が示された。昭和43年および52年改訂では大きな変化はなかった。平成元年改訂では、「野菜や卵を用いた簡単な調理」(5年)、「米飯,みそ汁,じゃがいも料理,魚や肉の加工品を使った料理,サンドイッチ,飲み物」(6年)が挙げられた。平成10年改訂では、「米飯とみそ汁」のみ題材指定され、本内容は平成20年改訂の指導要領に引き継がれた。指導要領に対応して教科書が作成・改訂されるが、平成10年改訂に対応した教科書から、5・6年で一冊となった。2社の教科書は、改訂時期や変更内容は類似しているが、平成10年改訂に対応した教科書から実習例や使用食材が異なってきた。

本稿は,昭和30年代に行われた共通語指導を明らかにする研究の一環として,鹿児島県で作成・使用された教材『ことばのほん』について,その内容・特徴・及び意義について明らかにすることを目的としている。『ことばのほん』は,鹿児島県国語教育研究会・鹿児島県教育委員会の共編で,それまでの標準語・共通語指導において,確固とした教材がなかったことや,教師の経験不足等による共通語指導の不振に対応するために作成された。そのねらいは,児童が共通語を自由に使用できることにあり,児童の日常生活や経験に基づく指導を行おうとしている。そのため本書の内容は,「ことば」の矯正に加え,アクセント・イントネーション等の音調に関する事項が多く含まれている。さらに,その使用方法については,特設の時間で,実践的活動によって,また,音声機器も併用して指導するように示され,音読,劇化などによって指導している。この結果,本書は,児童が共通語を体系的・経験的に学べるテキストであるという点に特徴と意義が見いだせる。

不完全情報ゲームにおいて,ナッシュ均衡戦略は非常に重要なテーマである.特に多人数不完全情報ゲームにおいては,ナッシュ均衡解を一般に求める方法はまだ確立されていないことから,多くの関心を集めている.2人テキサス・ホールデムはCFR+ (Tamelin, 2014) によって解かれた (generally weakly solved) が,CFR+は空間計算量の観点から3人以上のテキサス・ホールデムに適用するには問題がある.本研究ではNFSP (Heinrich and Silver, 2016) と呼ばれる手法を用いて,CFR+では解くことが難しい多人数不完全情報ゲームのナッシュ均衡解を求めることを目指す.本研究では,学習部分にソフトマックス回帰を用いたFictitious Self-Play (FSP) を使用して,テキサス・ホールデムのトイゲームである2人クン・ポーカーにおいてFSPが近似的なナッシュ均衡解を求められることを示した.また,多人数ゲームである3人クン・ポーカーにおいても,FSPが近似的なナッシュ均衡解を求められることを示し,CFR+の戦略に対するFSPの戦略の平均被搾取量が減少することを示した.

This paper addresses character expression for humanoid robots that play a given social role such as a lab guide or a counselor via spoken dialogue so that the character matches to the social role. While most conventional methods of character expression aim to change the style of utterance texts, this study focuses on dialogue features that may affect the impression of spoken dialogue. Specifically, we use five features: utterance amount, backchannel frequency, backchannel variety, filler frequency, and switching pause length. We adopt three character traits of extroversion, emotional instability, and politeness for a character expression, and investigate the relationship with the dialogue features. A statistical analysis of subjective evaluations shows that the dialogue features except for the backchannel variety are related to either of the traits. By using the subjective evaluation scores on the relevant traits, we can train models to control the dialogue features and behaviors according to the desired character. An experimental evaluation demonstrates the feasibility of character expression with regard to the traits of extroversion and politeness.

図書館法は五十年ぶりに改正され,第17条の無料原則にも「解釈」が加えられた。すなわちネットワーク情報資源の提供など,高度・多様化した図書館サービスについての有償化が容認されたのである。その根拠には「費用構造」「市場の失敗」「所得再配分」「費用-便益分析」「外部経済性」という公共経済学の理論が適用されるとともに,国や地方自治体の財政逼迫にさいしても図書館サービスの無料供給の優先順位は低く見積もられた。しかしながら公共経済学の拠って立つところは市場経済であり,図書館サービスに公共性があるか否かを決定するものではない。図書館サービスの公共性は歴史的に培われた理念であり,むしろネットワーク情報資源の提供などを無料原則のもとで提供できるような環境整備を論議すべきものではないだろうか。

高知県の「福祉教員」とは、戦後の新学制の発足直後の長欠・不就学問題対策のため配置され、その後同県の同和教育を担う人材を輩出した独特の教員制度である。本稿では、教育界の内と外の境界上に位置し、その開閉を通じて内外の調整をはかる存在という視点から福祉教員を位置づけ、その活動の軌跡の検討を通じて、長欠・不就学問題やその背後にある部落問題といった、教育実践の安定構造を脅かす危機(<社会>)に直面することによって教員の職分を画する境界にどのような変容が生じるかを考察した。分析から浮き彫りになったのは、境界を開いて問題状況を呈している子どもに、教育関係を媒介せずに直接的に働きかける側面と、その逆に自らが外部の盾になって遮断につとめ、かつての安定構造への回帰をもくろむ側面の両方であった。しかしこうした矛盾ともとれる両面性にもかかわらず、あるいはそれゆえに、福祉教員の足跡には多くの今日的示唆がある。

大学図書館と関わってきた個人利用者としての立場から, 大学図書館がどのような意味で市民に閉鎖的であるか, これまで図書館と関わった経緯をまとめながら, 私見を述べた. また, 学外者に対し, 多くの大学図書館が公開されていると言われながら, 個人利用者にとっては, その実態には不満足なものがある. その理由を分析してみた. そして,その解決に向けての方策を提示した.
