Superovulated eggs in (BALB/c×C57BL/6) F1 and ICR (outbred in a closed colony) female mice were fertilized in vitro with spermatozoa obtained from caudal epididymides of ICR males. Air-dried chromosome preparations were made from colcemid-primed 1-cell eggs and stained by the C-banding method. The fertilization rate was lower in F1 eggs than in ICR eggs (88 vs. 92%, P<0.02). The incidence of metaphase ("syngamy") eggs was higher in F1 eggs, and the incidence of pronuclear and late prometaphase ("pre-syngamy") eggs was higher in ICR eggs (P<0.001, P<0.005), showing delayed progress of the first cleavage in the ICR eggs. Developmental rates from 2-cell to 4-cell stage and from morula to blastocyst stage were significantly lower in ICR eggs (P<0.001) than in F1 eggs. These results show that a delay of embryo development had already appeared before male and female genomes fused (pre-syngamy). The incidence of triploidy, which might be caused by dispermy, was higher in F1 eggs, in both the pronuclear and mitotic stages (P<0.001). A little aneuploidy and structural aberration of chromosomes occurred in both F1 and ICR eggs, and no significant difference was observed between F1 and ICR eggs. The sex ratio at the first cleavage stage in both F1 and ICR eggs showed no significant deviation from equality.

1995年の真冬,米国立公園局と魚類野生動物局は14頭のハイイロオオカミ(Canis lupus)をトラックとそりでイエローストーンに運び込んだ。この地のオオカミが20世紀初頭に根絶されて以来,イエローストーンにオオカミがすみつくことになったのは,カナダからのこのオオカミたちが初めてだ。

A DPC code expresses a primary disease, a complication, and procedures, etc. In 2010, 1334 hospitals use DPC codes for calculations of medical fees. Since, in the hospitals, the medical fee of each case is calculated based on one DPC code, each case must be classified into one DPC code. However, the classification is difficult in some cases because patients sometimes have various conditions. Therefore, automatic DPC code selections using machine learning are being studied. Suzuki et al. evaluated automatic DPC code selections from discharge summaries using a vector space method. However, there are general machine learning methods except for the vector space method. Hence, we must evaluate other machine learning methods exhaustively for improvement of accuracy of automatic DPC code selections. Therefore, we evaluated automatic DPC code selections from discharge summaries using naïve Bayes method, SVM, concept base method, and another vector space method which is different from the vector space model used by Suzuki et al. We considered these machine learning methods as general ones. We also focus on characteristics of each machine learning methods on automatic DPC code selections and we utilize a method which combines some machine learning methods. First, the combining method estimates confidences of the machine learning methods bases on classification scores that the machine learning methods regard as classification evidence. Next, the combining method adopts the method whose confidence is highest. We compared accuracy of the methods using discharge summaries created in 2008 fiscal year in Kyoto University Hospital. As a result, SVM classified 72.2% of the cases into correct DPC codes though the vector space model utilized by Suzuki et al. classified 64.8% into correct DPC codes. Moreover the combining method classified 76.1% into correct DPC codes. In conclusion, we achieved significant improvement.

In this study, we took continuous measurements of hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) levels and conducted lifestyle checks in three cases to determine if these parameters were effective in improving overall wellness. We selected three young men with relatively high HbA1c levels. During the 12-weeks study periods, we regularly measured each participant's HbA1c levels and monitored their lifestyle habits every two weeks at the community pharmacy once every 2 weeks using specific guidelines. The first participant, a 23-year-old man, had a HbA1c level of 5.7% at his first measurement. His HbA1c level decreased to 5.2% at the last measurement. The second participant, a 19-year-old man, had an initial HbA1c level of 5.7% and a final HbA1c level of 5.4%. The third participant was a 22-year-old man with an initial HbA1c level of 5.4%. His HbA1c level had decreased to 5.1% by the last measurement. The lifestyles of all three men improved with respect to exercise and diet. Based on these results, we surmise that continuous measurements of HbA1c and regular lifestyle checks may contribute to reducing the risk of lifestyle-related disease.

It is the purpose of this paper to explore the symbolic meaning of the golden bough and the golden age of Augustus, both of which appear in Aeneid 6, with regard to the theme of labor of Aeneas, and to consider the relation between them and some aspects of the significance of the καταβασι&b.sigmav;. The gold of the golden bough seems to be a symbol of divine life. But just as the luxuriant growth of the forests, itself a manifestation of nature's vitality, covers the bough in the dark shadows(136, 138-9)which bear resemblance to the darkness of the underworld, so the bough casts a shadow on the life-giving earth(195-6). Life is always attended by the shadow of death. Therefore the mistletoe-simile (205-7) makes it certain that the idea in primitive belief is transferred to the bough that life and death are both aspects of a single reality and the mistletoe is a symbol of such a union. But because the gold is associated with divinity, the golden bough may be said to be an eternal embodiment of that reality. Hence the bough belongs to both heaven (Iuppiter) and hell (Iuno Inferna) and achieves agreement between them, which enables Aeneas to undergo an experience of death and rebirth. And it also indicates Aeneas' pietas which brings about a harmony of man with the gods. Moreover, it is described as though it has its own strength (virtus) to conquer the powers of death and war (represented by ferruwi) which do not meet fate's wishes (147-8). Thus the golden bough symbolizes Aeneas' own character and shows that because of his being a divine man ofpietas and virtus he can overcome the labor of death and be restored to new life as a Roman hero. The golden age of Augustus is compared with that of Saturn(792-4). But the Saturnian age of peace could not withstand the invasion of the warlike iron age of Iuppiter(8.314ff). And it is implied in the expression 'aurea condet/saecula…… rursus…/…quondam…' that Augustus will replace Saturn as a representative of Iuppiter and that the new golden age will surpass the old. For Augustus will have the strength to vanquishfuror impius typical of Iuno as an opponent to the fate of Iuppiter, because the word 'asper' in 'aspera saecula' (1.291) suggests Iuno's influence. The expansion of imperium (6.794-805) will also depend on this strength (virtus), which is here exemplified by Hercules who suffered many labores because of 'fatis Iunonis iniquae' (8.292)but conquered her furor embodied in the hellish monsters such as Cacus. Similarly, Aeneas in the second half of the poem is involved in the war caused by Iuno, but he not only exerts his virtns but also keeps a pious attitude towards her and at last prevails to make her reconciled with Iuppiter. Therefore the golden age of Augustus together with the imperium can be said to be a peaceful order having fighting force, or rather a harmonious union of peace and war, which reflects a concord between Iuppiter and Iuno, achieved through labores of the divine man of pietas and virtus. Now it is clear that both the golden bough and the Augustan golden age stand for a harmonious union of opposites, the former of life and death, the latter of peace and war, and both of Iuppiter and Iuno. And it is also indicated in both that the labor is not a mere suffering but an indispensable exertion by which a divine man of pietas and virtus can attain 'rebirth' of new life or of a stable order of peace. Thus the labor of the κταβασι&b.sigmav;, at the center of the poem, making a pivotal point of this theme, relates beforehand the labores of the succeeding story and those for the historical ideal in terms of life and death.

2進法を基礎とする計算機そのほかのデータ処理装置のための実数値表現方式を提案する.形式はデータの長さに依存せず 精度変換操作が単純で オーバフロー アンダフローが発生しない 十分大きい数も小さい数も表現できる方式であるこれらの条件を満たす一般的な表現法と その中で最も単純な規則を持つ形式とを示し 後者を標準案として推奨する.後者によると ±1の近くでの分解能が低下しないように極力努めたので 同じピット数で表現する固定小数点表現と比べ 1ビット分の分解能の悪化に止まり かつ浮動小数点表現の持つ 小さい数も 大きい数も表現できるという長所も併せ持っている.実数値表現法として前記の目的を達するため 内部表現のビット列に次の3つの性質を持たせる.(i)すべてのビット列が実数に対応する.(ii)あるビット列の右に1ビット連結する時 元のビット列に対応する区間が2分され 左の区間はピット0 右の区間はビット1を連結したものに対応する.(iii)正数の場合 1から無限大あるいは0に向かって 区間の両端の値の比が 二重指数的に増加する値となるよう分割されている.これによって実現される表現法を用いると 短いデータでもそれなりにバランスよく実数値を表現できる.また長いデータをう処理系と容易に結合できるため ミニコンピュータ マイクロコンピュータのための実数値表現法としても適している.

道徳教育の資料として、スポーツを題材としたものは多い。スポーツと道徳との結びつきは、すでに明治年間に見られ、旧制中学校の生徒自身もスポーツが精神の向上に資するという主張を行っていた。日清戦争後の時期は、国家を担う人物の身体の養成という観点で精神的側面は希薄であったが、日露戦争前後には、文弱・奢侈といった青年批判論に呼応し、運動の精神的な意義を主張するようになった。さらに1910年代の野球害毒論に対する反論として、野球を修養の手段として論じるものも現れた。このように、時代状況や外部からの批判に応じ、運動の精神性や道徳的意義を主張する論が生徒の側からも生まれたといえるだろう。and sports was discussed by junior highschool students in Meiji Era. The significance of sport has been discussedin association with the state and army after Sino-Japanese War. The sport was discussed as countermeasureagainst the corrupt youth before and after Russo-Japanese War. Around 1919, enthusiasm in baseball wascritisized. But some students refuted such criticism. They insist that they can improve their personarity(shuyo)by baseball.

千葉大学大学院人文社会科学研究科研究プロジェクト報告書 第280集 『新しい働き方とコミュニケーション』尾形 隆彰 編"The New type of Work and Communication", Chiba University Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences Research Project Reports No.280ロックバンド「ミドリ」で人気を博し、バンド解散後の現在はソロ活動をしている後藤まりこが次の発言を自身のTwitterアカウントに書き込んだのは2013年9月であった。最近のロックバンドは保守的すぎる。自分のCDを売りたいのなら、それなりにがんばろうよ。もうCDは勝手に売れる時代じゃあないよ。アイドルを見習おうよ。アイドルちゃんめちゃくちゃ攻めてるよ。とあるバンドのスタッフのアカウントがTwitterに書き込んだバンドのイベント参加告知の文面に反応したのを皮切りに、いくつかのツイートで自身の考えを表したのだ。後藤の言の通り、CDの売り上げ高は最盛期と比べて大きく低下し、代わっての台頭が 期待されている音楽配信にもCDに取って代わるほどの伸びはないのが現状である。それでは、「もうCDは勝手に売れる時代」ではなく、「どうすればCDが売れるのかを自らが考えなければならない」時代だとして、ミュージシャンは何を考えどのように活動していけばよいのだろうか。本論ではこの点について事例を取り上げて考察し、課題や着目すべき点を挙げることで今後の日本社会における音楽と「人の流れ」「お金の流れ」の関係性について考えていく一つの手がかりとしたい。なお、本論では創作活動や演奏を自ら行う当事者については「ミュージシャン」を、それ以外の楽器演奏を行わない当事者には「アーティスト」の呼称を用いるものとする。

In Making Mark Twain Work in the Classroom, Twain's scholars and educators introduce different ways of promoting the students' motivations to approach Twain's works. However, they do not discuss how the students' experience of watching the dramatized versions of his works on stage would affect the students' interest in reading his works. In his interview on the significance of children's appreciation of theatre as the audience, Asaya Fujita, a playwright and director, points out that children's seeing plays on stage is crucial to their human development. "Watching a play helps you find out about yourself," Fujita says. In this paper, I would like to examine the Deaf West Theatre production of Big River, a muscial adaptation of Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, first performed in October, 2002. I would discuss how their theatrical work would inspire the students' imagination on Twain's literary world and would enhance students' better understanding of art, literature and intercultural communication.

I Fasci di combattimento erano nati come fenomeno urbano e i loro aderenti erano in gran parte ex combattenti provenienti dai sindacalisti rivoluzionari, ex arditi, studenti, futuristi ecc, cioe gente del ceto medio la cui condizione era stata cambiata dalle guerra. Il fascismo era ancora un fatto principalmente cittadino, circoscritto a zone geografiche limitate. Ma nel'21 la situazione muto radicalmente. Da cittadino il fascismo divento prevalentemente un fenomeno delle zone agrarie e poi, in un secondo momento, s'estese a tutta la nazione. La Valle Padana e considerata la zona del cosiddetto "fascismo classico", e Ferrara in particolare rappresentava l'affermazione fascista in una zona agraria. Li il movimento ebbe successo e riusci a darsi una base popolare prima che altrove. Anche storicamente apparve la forza del movimento socialista e delle organizzazioni sindacali ad esso collegate. Il fattore della riuscita fascista e da ricercarsi nella violenza sistematica come "spedizione punitiva" per la distruzione delle forze socialiste e nella complicita dei pubblici poteri. Nel fascismo agrario importante fattore di riuscita fu il ruolo del gruppo di interesse. A Ferrara il fascismo pote succedere ai gruppi di interesse delle diverse classi sociali. Nel primo dopoguerra, mutato il rapporto delle forze sociali, l'organizzazione dei proprietari, cioe L'"Agraria Ferrarese", appoggiava il fascismo. Nell' estate del'20 si trovo ad affrontare incertezze economiche e politiche : l'emergere di un'improvvisa e gravissima crisi economica, l'inerzia del governo liberale dinanzi all'occupazione delle fabbriche, gli scioperi agricoli e la sconfitta delle elezioni amministrative. In quanto ai ceti medi, la loro "cattolica Unione del lavoro" non riusciva piu a proteggere i loro interessi. Il Fascismo sembro rafforzarne la posizione entro la gerarchia della societa rurale con la medesima politica agraria : "la terra ai contadini. " Cosi, questi due gruppi poterono riconquistare i propri equilibri che erano stati minacciati dalle forze socialiste. Infine il monopolio del collocamento dei lavoratori della Federterra si sposto nelle mani del "sindacato autonomo" fascista. La disoccupazione cronica era un fatto di ordinaria amministrazione, poiche il bisogno del posto di lavoro era piu forte dell'attaccamento alle convinzioni politiche. Con i socialisti disarmati e incapaci di reagire, i proprietari furono di nuovo in grado di dominare il mercato del lavoro.
