キトサンは,きのこの細胞壁や甲殻類の外殻成分に含まれるキチンを脱アセチル化して得られる多糖類である.本研究では,エノキタケ由来のキトサン(キノコキトサン)の脂質異常症の改善効果および肥満抑制効果について肥満モデル動物であるZucker-fatty Ratを用いて検討した.キノコキトサンを与えた群では,体重の顕著な減少,肝臓への脂肪沈着の減少,糞便中の脂質含有率の増加を確認した.さらに血液生化学検査では,中性脂肪,総コレステロール,LDL-コレステロールの明らかな低下が認められた.キノコキトサンは,腸管からの脂肪吸収の抑制,脂肪細胞での脂肪分解を介した血中脂質の改善および肝臓組織への脂肪蓄積を顕著に抑制する作用を示し,肥満ならびにメタボリックシンドロームの改善に寄与することが示唆された.

The number of third-party guardians in the adult guardianship system is increasing. In the past, a family member assumed the role of an adult guardian in most cases. Now, however, third-party adult guardians are becoming more common. Why has the role of the adult guardian shifted from family members to third parties? What kind of the property of a third-party guardian in relation to the socialization of care? In this paper, I aim to answer these questions by using ‘the need for professionals’, ‘transformation of normative consciousness’, and ‘changes in family functions’ as explanations.  In this study, 107 cases published in the quarterly adult guardianship journal Jissen Seinen Kōken were selected for analysis. They were categorised and tabulated on the basis of three analytical frameworks: ‘the need for professionals’, ‘preference of the ward’, and ‘unavailability of an individual to assume the role of an adult guardian’.  The results showed that the most frequent case framework was ‘unavailability of an individual to assume the role of an adult guardian’, followed by ‘the need for professionals’ and ‘preference of the ward’. Thus, it became clear that people choose a third-party guardian because there is no one else available, despite the need. This finding was contrary to my prediction that third-party guardians are chosen because of the need for professionals.  Additionally, I evaluate the association of the socialization of care and the role of a third-party guardian. In consequence, I claim that the preference for the choice of a third-party guardian leads to the socialization of care for the elderly.

The geological formations of Mt. Fuji are composed of Pre-Miocene, Miocene, Pliocene and Komitake, Fuji volcanic ejecta.The following table shows the geological formations of this region.Pre-Miocene, Miocene and Komitake volcanic ejecta lie beneath Mt. Fuji. These rocks are the foundation of Fuji volcano.The first building of Fuji volcano started by Kofuji volcanic mudflow which covered the Komitake volcano and older rocks. The second eruption is made up of a sequence of Younger volcanic ejecta, which cover on alluvium sequence.The sequence of ejecta is L1-T1-L2-T2-L3-L4-T3 layers, except for L4 and T3 layers they all erupted from summit fire crater. L-layer is composed of the lava and tephra alternation and T-layer, which has the most of tephra. These limits make up the stratified volcano.The flanks of mountain are sculptured by a number of radial valleys but they not have surface streams. The largest valley is “Osawa” and the second is “Yosidaosawa”, both integrated these valleys are now growing. These valley are eroded by streams of the heavy rainfall, flow of underground water and by snowslides. Osawa is a V-type erosion valley and Yoshidaosawa is a U-type wallerosion valley.On the flank of the mountain, rainwater sinks into the ground and is stored on the surface of the unpermeable layers (Kofuji volcanic mudflow) as the underground water. It runs downward and flows out at the mountain foot. From the cliff, which outcrips at the top of Yoshidaosawa, large rock fragments fall and roll on the valleyfloor. Summer in 1980, twelve persons were killed by such rockfall. This rockfall happened by the increase of the undergroundwater pressure which made the rock fragments on the near cliff unstable and caused the disasterous rockslides.

Concrete walls or concrete structures are often associated with hardness and coldness. None has verified this idea. First, words and phrases describing concrete walls and structures were collected among students and working people, and analysed. It revealed that the idea is true. Second seventeen architectural concrete specimens of 900 mm square with a variety of surface finishing were made and psychologically measured with eight seven-rated-scales. The finding is that the concrete with smooth surface, such as casted in plywood or metal panels gives people the impression of hardness and coldness, whereas concrete with rough surface the impression of softness and warmness. This concept obtained from the small specimens was proved to be applicable to actual concrete walls and structures with actual size.

It is well known that spacecrafts on orbits are charged up due to the interaction with space plasma and high energy charged particles. Those charging phenomena are categorized into two. One is “surface charging” and the other is “internal charging”. The surface charging involves absolute charging of the conductive satellite body and differential charging occurring on different surface materials on the satellite. On the other hand, the internal charging occurs on the insulating materials and/or electrically floating conductors installed inside the spacecraft body. When the level of the differential charging and/or internal charging reaches some threshold, ESD's (Electrostatic Discharges) will possibly occur. The author reviewed these ESD phenomena based on the ground experiments simulating space environments.

In Hakata District of Fukuoka City which is known as one of the most traditional merchant district, the sub-division system called "Taikou Machiwari" which was implemented in late 16th Century has been still the basis of urban infrastructure affecting the urban development and building forms on it. Following the recent trend of increasing of both apartment construction and population, this study aims to review the transformation of both block form types and lot form types, and to analyze the past 30 year trend of lot integration and apartment building layout form. As the results, this study constructs the typology of the lot integration and the apartment building form, and clarifes the relationship between them.

2016年8月の山本幸三行政改革担当大臣就任と続く筆者(三輪)の大臣補佐官就任以後の準備期間を経た同年12月の経済財政諮問会議の「統計改革の基本方針」決定により,「EBPM推進体制の構築」を第1議題とする統計改革推進会議が創設された.この会議の活動開始を明確な契機として,政府のEBPM推進の取り組みがスタートし,その後の大方の予想を上回るスピードでの展開を経て今日に至っている.2020年2月に刊行された大橋弘編『EBPMの経済学』(大橋編,2020)は,この取り組みの本格化後まもなくTCERのconference企画としてスタートし,2年強の時間をかけて出版にこぎつけたものである.各論文(そしてペアとなる各コメント)の内容はかなりのバラツキがある(端的に言えば,実質的にバラバラ). 本稿は,中心的読者としてEBPM推進に取り組む政策立案担当者を含むEBPM推進関係の実務家を想定する.政策決定は政治プロセスの中で行われる.筆者は,いわば至近距離に位置してこの展開過程を注視し時には参画してきた.この経緯・経験に基づき,必要最小限の関連情報を,支障のない範囲内で提示して,本稿の読者の参考にし,本書の内容の理解と今後の活動に役立てる一助とする.
