2019 年7 月,東京都葛飾区から「浸水対応型市街地構想」1)が公表された.この構想は,東京の海抜ゼロメートル地帯の広域高密市街地での大規模水害への備えという意味だけではなく,気候変動への市街地の適応という意味でも画期的な構想である.著者らのグループは,2004 年頃から民・学・官が協働した大規模水害に備えるまちづくり活動をすすめ,「広域ゼロメートル市街地」における大規模水害への備え,気候変動への適応について議論を重ねてきた.本稿では,葛飾区構想のもととなった考え方を解説するとともに,その実現に向けた課題を列挙する.

Frictional heat is generated on the rubbing surface and various types of thermal localization occur during sliding contact in braking on disk and pad surfaces. Thermoelastic expansion affects the contact pressure distribution due to the frictional heat generation. The surface temperature is sometimes localized, and the thermal behavior causes surface damage. To evaluate this phenomenon, braking tests were conducted and the localized temperature on the disk surface was observed with an infrared camera. The localized temperature was found to correlate with frequency response for contact force variation. To investigate localized temperature on the disk surface, FEM analysis of the braking test was conducted. The FEM analysis method combined with contact analysis and heat transfer/thermal stress analysis was applied. Heat flux distributions were calculated by contact analysis in consideration of the frictional heating introducing the actual contact force and the friction coefficient variation. The disk surface temperature was then evaluated by the coupled heat transfer/thermal stress analysis using the heat flux distributions obtained from the results of contact analysis. The disk surface temperature obtained from FEM analysis almost coincided with that measured during the braking test. Moreover, the new method could greatly reduce the calculation time compared to the method using the contact analysis alone. Therefore, the proposed method is believed to be useful for evaluation of the rubbing surface temperature.

欧州諸国は,欧州連合が2007 年に採択した洪水対策に関する新しい政策指令を受けて,洪水マップを策定している.本研究速報では,今後の研究展開上の予備調査として,主として文献調査によって,欧州諸国における洪水マップの作成と利用実態,洪水マップと保険制度の関連を概括的に整理する.また,特にオーストリアにおいて,政府と保険業者のパートナーシップで洪水マップの作成と公開を実施しているプロジェクト(HORA project)に着目して,その概要を紹介する.

近年,気候変動や自然災害等の環境変化に関して,「レジリエンス」,「脆弱性」という用語が頻繁に使われている.これらの用語は環境変化に対するシステムの変化や挙動を表す概念であるが,その定義が多様であるため混乱をまねく恐れがある.本論では,英語圏の自然災害などの学術分野において発達してきたこれらの概念について,その発達の経緯と多様な定義の整理を行った.そして,「曝露」や「感応性」など,レジリエンス,脆弱性の概念に関する要素によって,環境変化に対するシステムの変化や挙動を説明できることを示した.[本要旨はPDFには含まれない]

We examined the relationship of body fat distribution to lipid metabolism in 50 obese women who participated in a weight reduction program.Body fat distribution was assessed by measurement of the waist-to-hip size ratio (WHR), minimal waist size and maximal hip size measured in a standing position.Obese women were separated into two subgroups by WHR; predominantly upper- or lower-body-segment obesity (UBSO or LBSO).After adjusting for ideal body weight, we found significantly high correlations with WHR (r=0.82, p<0.01), serum total cholesterol, serum triglyceride, VLDL and ApoB, which were significantly higher in UBSO; while HDL-ch and ApoA-1 were significantly lower in UBSO than LBSO.However, in UBSO, serum triglyceride and A. I. were significantly decreased; and HDL-ch was significantly increased after weight reduction.In conclusion, we suggested that the site of fat predominance offers a better diagnostic or prognostic marker for lipid metabolism abnormality than the degree of obesity alone.

本研究では, 荒川下流域における大規模水害を想定し, 避難指示発令時の鉄道による全員避難を想定し, 遠距離避難シミュレーションを行い, 広域避難の可能性について分析を行った.居住地から駅までの歩行シミュレーションでは道路上での歩行速度の低下がみられるが, このことは, 鉄道の輸送能力がネックとなり, 待ち行列となるため, 最終的な問題とはならない.一方, 鉄道による避難については, 現在の行政対応の枠組みで想定される運転では避難に長時間を要する.ただし, 都心側での乗車制限や列車の臨時増発を行えば, 避難指示から決壊までの間での避難の可能性は残されることが明らかとなった.その場合, 鉄道会社, 周辺自治体と統一された指揮命令系統下での対応が必要とされる.一方, 乗車待ちの駅構内及び周辺の滞留者はいずれのケースでも数万人規模と膨大であり, 群衆の管理が非常に大きな課題となることが明らかとなった.バスによる避難, 自家用車避難, 徒歩避難, 建物内退避, それぞれのキャパシティを分析し, 多様な交通手段を組み合わせて最適な避難方法を探求していく必要がある.[本要旨はPDFには含まれない]

様々な植物を利用して,土壌から分離した植物内生細菌をトマトに接種し,青枯病発病抑制効果と生育促進効果を指標に選抜を行った。その結果選抜された3株のうち,イチゴを用いて捕捉したKSR01を種子処理した場合に,トマトの生育促進効果と青枯病発病抑制効果を併せ示すことを見出した。KSR01は青枯病菌に対する抗菌物質を産生しなかったので,青枯病発病抑制効果は,抵抗性誘導によることが示唆された。KSR01は種子処理した場合にトマト茎部から再分離されるため,組織に内生的に定着することが確認された。菌体脂肪酸組成,16S rRNA塩基配列の解析および細菌学的性質の調査から,KSR01をHerbaspiyillum huttiensisであると同定した。

In 1841 Macaulay began to write his History of England, the plan of which had long been in his mind. He worked at it with great assiduity and delight, till in 1848 the first two, and in 1855 the next two volumes appeared. The work met instant applause of the reading public. The extraoridinary success of this history is chiefly due to the fact that it well suited the self-complacent mentality of the middle classes. The fundamental idea underlying History of England is this: the unprecedented power and prosperity of the 19th century England (and especially of the middle classes) is the direct outcome of the whig revolution of 1688, which established once for all the supremacy of the Commons over the Crown. Written from this viewpoint, his portaiture of historical figures is not always impartial, as in the case of Strafford. Contrary to his original intention, his history stopped at the death of William III. However, his various essays and speeches connected with English history clearly show that the subsequent development of English politics was viewed by him in the light of the unfolding and realisation of the whig principles. The culmination of this growth was to him the Reform Act of 1832. He was then the champion of the rising middle classes. Since 1832 he resolutely opposed any further suffrage extention as endangering the Constitution and the principle of property. Therein he was at one with conservatives of the time such as Carlyle. According to him the principle of property is the foundation of all civilisations. Hence his repugnance to Jacobinism as is shown in his criticism of the French Revolution, and hence also his opposition to the introduction of universal suffrage, as is shown in his speeches on the occasion of Chartist petitions. Hindered by this one-sided view of history, he completely failed to foresee the later growth of English democracy in the second half of the 19th century. His early surroundings were not necessarily whiggish, but his education at Cambridge and his connection with the Holland House and the Edinburgh Review determined his subsequent political outlook and made of him a great historian of the bourgeois classes.

私の研究テーマは視覚を中心とした認知心理学であるが、この研究の焦点を空間認知に絞って進めてきた。伝統的な課題なのでテーマも多様で、個人の扱い得る能力をはるかに超えているなと実感しながら、これらの研究成果は岩手大学の紀要「アルテス・リベラレス」に投稿し続けた。しかし話題があまりにも専門的過ぎて、読者は極端に限られていたと思える。『空間のエコロジー』を出版した1986年頃になって、研究課題の枠を広げてみると、空間認知の問題は社会や文化との関連が浮き彫りになり、異文化の視点からみても広範なそして多様な課題と関連していることに思い至った。そのような文脈からみた一つの話題を今回は紹介しようと思う。

西欧の合理主義思想がもたらした現代社会のテクノロジーは、確かに人類の福祉・幸福に多大な恩恵をもたらした。しかし、これによる知性偏重の弊害が感性という人間性の側面を損なう負の遺産をもたらしたことも事実である。本論では、この抑圧されていたともいえる人間性を支える感性を復活させ、それと知性との調和的統合こそが、来るべき世紀の人間像として重要な意義をもっているという新しい人間観を、知性と感性の相互関係のモデルを試論的に考え提案した。

大学の位置する地域における子育て環境を把握し、大学教員としてより具体的な子育て支援のシステムを構築するために、育児ストレスの構造の地域の特性を明らかにした。A県内子育て支援センターに通っている子どもの親及び家族630名を対象とした。育児ストレッサー尺度を用いて、ストレスについて測定した。477名から回答が得られた。対象者の98.1%が女性であった。育児ストレッサー31項目の単純集計の結果、高い値を示したのは「一人になれる時間がない」「自分の時間がない」「子どもを育てるために我慢していることがある」などであった。育児ストレッサーの32項目を変数とした因子分析を行い、6因子を抽出した。第1因子は「子どものしつけや対応への困難」、第2因子は「自分の時間がない」、第3因子は「一人きりの子育て」、第4因子は「子どもの食行動の問題」、第5因子は「夫の無理解・非協力的態度」、第6因子は「子どもにまとわりつかれる」と命名した。

フィッシングの手口の巧妙化が進む中,フィッシングサイトを早期に発見することは被害を最小限に抑えるだけでなく,攻撃者側の準備にかかるかコストを増大させることにも繋がる可能性があるため,フィッシングサイトの早期発見は非常に重要な問題である.本研究では,実際のフィッシングサイトに使用されたドメイン名に含まれる特徴から,新たにフィッシングに使用される可能性のあるドメイン候補を生成・監視することで,フィッシングサイトの早期発見に繋げるための情報収集方法について検討する.

VR(仮想現実)を用いて,地震火災時の市街地延焼からの避難行動を把握する予備実験を行った.本研究の成果は以下の2 点である.第一に,リアリティのある地震火災避難VR を作成し,市街地火災の状況の表現手法を開発したことである.第二に,避難行動特性把握のための実験計画の立案及び予備実験を実施したことである.なお,予備実験の主な結果は,以下の2 点である.第一に,火災1 個の場合,火災までの距離が300m で,半数の人間が避難する.第二に,火災までの実際の距離よりも,近くで発生していると感じる傾向にある.

The six attentional-style subscales of the Test of Attentional and Interpersonal Style (TAIS, Nideffer, 1976) have been used mainly in the sport psychology area to investigate the relationship between attentional abilities and performance. This study assessed the validity of the Japanese version of the TAIS attentional-style subscales with 157 male and 163 female students. A confirmatory factor analysis failed to validate Nideffer's attentional dimension of bandwidth (narrow to broad attention) and direction (internal to external). The findings replicate previous studies which showed that the structure of the TAIS attention-related subscales is not reasonable and its factorial validity does not meet the needs of psychometrics.

精神遅滞幼児の母子関係解明のために、質問紙による母親の養育態度と現実の母子交渉場面での発話との関連性を子供に対する拒否感に焦点を当てて検討した。対象は15名の中度・軽度精神遅滞幼児(CA:1歳4ヵ月〜5歳1ヵ月)とその母親である。養育態度は、田研・両親態度診断検査(幼児版)の母親用を実施し、「消極的拒否」「積極的拒否」の得点を算出した。母親の発話は、玩具統制下自由遊び場面での発話を分析し、養育態度と母親の発話との相関係数を求めた。その結果、「消極的拒否」「積極的拒否」態度の強い母親ほど子供の発声に対して応答的で、肯定的、共感的内容の発話を多く示した。拒否的養育態度と観察場面での拒否的発話とは一致しないとの結論を得た。拒否的態度の強い母親ほど拒否的発話をしないことがあげられよう。
