We report neuropathic arthropathy of the shoulder joint caused by syringomyelia and discuss the method of diagnosis and treatment.Three patients were treated and their ages were 41, 52 and 55 years respectively. In case No 1, there was swelling and the rapid destruction of the shoulder joint. Synovectomy was performed, however the ROM decreased markedly. Six months later, a shoulder joint replacement was carried out and a temporaly improvement of ROM was noticed. However it became worse gradually again and after ten years later she can abduct her arm only 40 degrees. In case No. 2, the synovectomy was performed, but the destruction of the joint progressed rapidly and the joint was dislocated anteriorly 6 months later. At present she has poor abduction of 60 degrees. In case No. 3, osteosynthesis was carried out for the humeral shaft fracture 5 years ago, however non-union and neuropathic arthropathy of the shoulder joint were diagnosed 3 years. later. Present ab-duction angle is 30 degrees.All these three cases had characteristics of massive swelling, rapid and progressive destruction of humeral head with slight pain.So far in Japan, 36 cases out of 42 cases of neuropathic arthropathy of the shoulder joint was caused by syringomyelia. However, the results of these cases were not satisfactory, even after performing synovectomy, prosthesis or arthrodesis because almost all the syringomyelia cases are slow and progressive and leads to the destruction of the joint.

An amendment concerning the enforcement of the law on the prevention of radiation hazards due to radioisotopes, etc., and the medical service law enforcement regulations were promulgated on June 1, 2005. This amendment concerned international basic safety standards and the sealing of radiation sources. Sealed radiation sources ≤3.7 MBq, which had been excluded from regulation, were newly included as an object of regulation. Investigation of the SPECT system instituted in hospitals indicated that almost all institutions adhere to the new amendment, and the calibration source, the checking source, etc., corresponding to this amendment were maintained appropriately. Any institutions planning to return sealed radioisotopes should refer to this report.

原発性胆汁性肝硬変は中年女性の好発する自己免疫性肝疾患である。特に閉経後の女性に発症し、肝内の小型胆管が選択的に傷害を受け、消失する。胆管細胞はエストロゲン受容体を有しているため、胆管細胞に対するエストロゲンの関与について検討した結果、胆管細胞はエストロゲン受容体を介したエストロゲン作用の低下に加えて、エストロゲン関連受容体を介したエストロゲン作用の阻害も原発性胆汁性肝硬変の胆管傷害および消失に関与していることが明らかとなった。

This study aims to identify geographical distribution of private temporary housing (PTH) and to understand how PTH has been constructed in Kobe city since Hanshin-Awaji great earthquake. According to 1997 survey, 2927 units of PTH are built and pre-fabric building type is the most popular. PTH has contributed to reconstruction of housing and of local industry because the buildings are used for not only dwelling but also shop and work. Prospects of future development of PTH is that in the land re-adjustment programme areas majority of people who live there remove PTH and newly construct permanent housing in the case of exchange of the land. However, in the case of not large-scale exchange of the land PTH would continue to exist. In the re-development programme areas, it is obvious that PTH will be removed when the programme starts. In the other areas permanent housing will be built depending on owners' financial resources.

1995年~2004年の10シーズンにわたり,信州大学演習林研究室(現AFC 研究室)では中央アルプスの山岳林標高1300~2700mの比高100m毎の15定点において,毎月積雪全層の断面観測を行った。総数500ピット(深さ平均112㎝,累計558m)のうち,密度を測った雪層数は2610層(平均厚さ15.6㎝)である。観測結果と考察の大要は以下の通りである。1.中央アルプスは厳冬期には麓から気温が低いため,標高にともなう雪質の変化が少なく,造晶系(こしもざらめ,しもざらめ)の雪が多い。多雪年には焼結系(こしまり,しまり)が増加し,寡雪年には造晶系の雪が増加する。2.標高と雪層密度の正相関は液相系のない1月2月の厳寒期に高い。3.積雪が多い厳冬期には,新雪が供給される上層と,長期間の変態を経た下層では,雪質と密度が大きく異なる。下層は圧密により密度が増大し,上層は風成雪により密度が増大する。4.上載積雪荷重と層密度との相関は,焼結系で高く圧密が顕著で,造晶系,液相介在系(氷板,ざらめ)の順に相関が低くなる。5.標高が高いほど,細粒のこしまり雪が出現する。高所では低気温と強風により吹雪で雪粒が粉砕される機会が多いことを,粒度が示している。12~2月の粒度が細かいこしまり雪では,粗いものよりも密度が高い。上載積雪荷重が小さい雪面付近でこの傾向が顕著である。したがって標高が高いほど吹雪頻度が高く,微少な結晶破片の堆積した雪面の隙間に氷の粉塵が充?され,焼結の進行によって高密度の風成雪が生まれると推定される。6.12~6月の月積雪深は標高と1次の正相関を示す(相関係数0.91以上)。一方,積雪の全層密度と標高とは中程度の1次の正相関を示す。これらの結果,毎月の積雪水量は標高との2次曲線関係で増加する。7.積雪深が50㎝をこえると,地面と接する積雪下層の平均温度は0℃に近い。

SCoreクラスタシステムソフトウェアは,Myrinetを用いたクラスタを対象とした高性能かつスケーラブルな並列プログラミング環境のソフトウェアパッケージである.本稿は,Myrinet以外のネットワーク,SMPクラスタ,及びクラスタ化されたクラスタという3つの新たな形態のクラスタにSCoreを対応させる方法について提案するものである."Composite"と呼ばれる仮想ネットワークデバイスを設け,compositeネットワークデバイスが複数の実ネットワークデバイスとルーティングテーブルを持つことで,これらの形態のクラスタに対応可能であることを示す.ここで提案された方法は,見方を変えれば,ヘテロなネットワーク構成のクラスタへの対応と考えることができる.提案された方法は,現在SCore 3.0として開発が進められている.A high performance scalable cluster system software package, SCore, was designed for clusters using Myrinet. To adapt it to a cluster using other networks, an SMP cluster, and a cluster of clusters, the notion of "composite" is proposed in this paper. The "composite" is a virtual network device which consists of a routing table and several physical network devices. From the viewpoint of seamless computing, the "composite" is to handle heterogeneity. New SCore 3.0 is under development for implementing the "composite".
