Based on a previous paper, an attitude control method of the Vroid is dealt with here, under some conditions, so that some of the modules should satisfy the constraints for the robotic shape and attitude, since it is sometimes required that mobile robots must carry something and/or liquid containers in a restricted moving mode. The assumptions are that (i) the Vroid has six degrees-of-freedom, including the freedoms of the rotational joint of the first link and the moving wheels, which were not treated in the previous paper ; (ii) the central link must be kept in the horizontal position as a constraint, which yields five degrees-of-freedom in Vroid ; (iii) Vroid moves along a slope. The problem is formulated as a linear programming problem minimizing the total applied moments at joints, subjected to constraints. Then the proposed control method gives a solutions for the control sequence of the Vroid for various terrains.

A detailed account is given of the first unequivocal synthesis of adenine 7-oxide (8). The synthesis started with peroxycarboxylic acid oxidation of 3-benzyladenine (6), readily obtainable from adenine (1) by benzylation, and proceeded through nonreductive debenzylation of the resulting 3-benzyladenine 7-oxide (7). The location of the oxygen function in 7 and 8 was confirmed by their chemical reactions including deamination and methylation and by X-ray crystallographic analysis. A UV spectroscopic approach suggested that the neutral species of 8 exists in H2O as an equilibrated mixture of the N(7)-oxide (8) and N(7)-OH (21) tautomers. Treatment of 6 with 30% aqueous H2O2 in MeOH in the presence of MeCN and KHCO3 at 30°C produced the N(7)-oxide 7 and 7-acetamido-3-benzyladenine (15) in 12% and 1% yields, respectively.

国内最後のマラリア浸淫地として知られた滋賀県琵琶湖東岸地域において,現在の蚊の発生状況を把握するために,2008年からCDC型トラップを用いて蚊の捕獲調査を行っている.2010年は,琵琶湖に注ぐ犬上川流域を縦断的に,また内湖である西の湖周辺を対象として,地点間による蚊相と捕獲数の差異を明らかにするために調査を行った.方法は,ドライアイス1kgを誘引剤としたCDC型トラップを用いて,6月18日から10月2日まで,3週間毎に2日間連続で行った.調査地点は,犬上川の上流から下流にかけて12地点,西の湖沿岸およびそれに注ぐ蛇砂川流域に10地点を設定した.その結果,シナハマダラカ,コガタアカイエカ,アカイエカ,カラツイエカ,ヒトスジシマカ,ヤマトヤブカ,オオクロヤブカ,ハマダライエカ,フトシマツノフサカの10種類が捕獲された.犬上川流域では,全捕獲数21,233個体のうち約92%がコガタアカイエカ(19,585個体)で,次いでアカイエカが約7%(1457個体),シナハマダラカが0.2%(57個体)であった.トラップの設置地点間を比較すると,犬上川上流および下流ではコガタアカイエカの捕獲数が多いのに対し,中流部では少なかった.また,上流部ではアカイエカの割合が低かった.一方,西の湖周辺では総計40,347個体のうち、約97%がコガタアカイエカ(38,998個体),アカイエカが約2%(608個体)そしてシナハマダラカが約1%(462個体)捕獲された.地点間の比較では,コガタアカイエカは特に西の湖沿岸に多く,シナハマダラカは蛇砂川流域で多いことがわかった.このように地点間比較から,捕獲数および蚊相にはトラップ設置場所によって差異が認められる.この差異について,環境省生物多様性情報システムの第5回植生調査データを資料とし,GIS(地理情報システム)を用いて,トラップ周囲の植生構成比との関係から検討した.また,2009年度の調査データを基に作成した吸血飛来のポテンシャルマップと2010年度の蚊の調査結果がどの程度一致したのかを検証した.

The Tarumizu pyroclastic flow deposit with intercalation of Osumi plinian fall deposit of 25 ka eruption is distributed in Tarumizu area, southeast of Aira caldera. The deposit is composed of many flow units and the source is estimated to be at the same position as the vent of plinian eruption based on grain-size variation and depositional structure. From these facts, the Tarumizu pyroclastic flow is considered to be a type of intra-plinian fiow generated by successive partial collapse of the sustained plinian eruption column. Based on the stratigraphic suecessions, the generation of this flow is estimated to be a continuous process from the early to the terminal stage of the plinian eruption. The pyroclastic flow distribution, which is in the same direction with the dispersal axis of plinian fall deposit, may suggests that the wind influenced the direction of partial column collapse. Two lithofacies were identified in the Tarumizu pyroclastic flow deposit: the massive facies and the stratified facies. The former is a 'normal' pyroclastic flow, while the latter is a pile-up of many thin layers of pyroclastic flow and pumice fall. The massive facies are mainly distributed on the lower plain near the coast and differ from the stratified facies that accumulated at a bit higher level, usually along the foot of the mountain. These facts suggest that the main pyroclastic flow accumulated on the lower level and that the corresponding marginal part of the flow eventually reached the higher level exhibiting characteristic thin stratified structure.

循環モデルのフレームワークに基づき,家族形成期の日本女性を調査した『消費生活に関するパネル調査2』を用いて,1)結婚意欲と結婚行動の関係の検証,2)働く重要度と結婚行動の関係の検証を行った。1)では結婚意欲が個人属性と母親属性によって決定され,学歴や大都市居住,賃金率の上昇によって高められるが,未婚状態を継続することにより適応効果が働き,「必ずしも結婚しなくてよい」「結婚したくない」と意欲を下げて行くことが明らかとなった。また結婚意欲が実際の結婚行動に与える選択効果も支持され,結婚行動に直接影響する変数と,意欲を介して影響する変数の存在が確認された。2)では働く重要度の違いが結婚行動へ与える影響は見られず,選択効果は棄却された。また就業変化などの直接的な経験による適応効果は見られるが,結婚や出産などによる影響は見られない。これらの分析結果からは,家族形成と就業はどちらかを選択することで他方の重要度を下げるような関係ではないと言えるが,ここで用いた変数が就業と家族形成の狭間における女性の心の揺らぎを十分に把握できていないという可能性は否めない。

According to the Buddhist tradition, a buddha called Bhaisajyaguru has resolved that he would make everyone a buddha. But the world where people live is full of obstacles to their progress toward buddhahood. He devotes himself to remove such obstacles as sicknesses, famines, disasters, wars, and wicked governments. Thus he works hard to help people prepare for the ultimate goal. Among the manifold activities of Bhaisajyaguru, the Chinese are interested only in medicine. Called Yaoshi (藥師) in Chinese, this fo (佛) is worshipped as the almighty physician in China. Unlike Bhaisajyaguru, Yaoshi is capable of preventing the sick from dying and he is even able to revive the dead. It is just like the Chinese, who yearn for eternal life, to expect him to carry out the function of resuscitation. It is most characteristic of the Japanese Yakusi (藥師) to hold a medicine pot in the palm of his left hand. As the most reliable physician, he shares a basic function with his Chinese counterpart. Making a sharp contrast with Yaoshi, however, Yakusi does not demand repentance. The Japanese implore him for relief without repenting, and their wishes are granted at once. Since the mythological age, the Japanese have worshipped Ohonamuti (大己貴) and Sukunahikona (少彦名) , who are kami (神) competent in medicine. Like other kami, they do not care whether their devotees feel repentant, and they grant wishes if only implored. Naturalized in Japan, Yakusi is identified with them. Fostered in Japanese culture, he is a Japanese object of worship, quite independent of Yaoshi.

In ancient Japan, the government ordered priests to perform kekwa 悔過 when a drought occurred or an emperor fell into a critical condition. Although the Chinese word hu-gu 悔過 meant repentance for an error," no participant in this Japanese rite repented. The Japanese conceived the idea of this rite on their own in accordance with their cultural tradition, borrowing only its name from Chinese. Chinese emperors of the sixth century took upon themselves wrongs done by their subjects and repented on behalf of them before the image of Yosh 藥師 the f 佛(buddha). By repenting so, they intended to nullify the wrongs so that disasters that might result would also be nullified: The emperors wished to prevent disasters from happening to their subjects. It took seven days at a minimum and one year at a maximum for the repenting emperors to satisfy Yosh and to be freed from the assumed sins. On the other hand,the Japanese performed their kekwa without repenting. They intended to mitigate disasters which had already happened, not to prevent those which were to happen in the future. And their wishes were granted at once. Chinese Yosh was naturalized in Japan to become Yakushi and joined the pantheon of Japanese kami 神, who had the habit of not demanding repentance from human beings and of being quick to respond to their wishes. The Japanese flattered the kami called Yakushi in order to stop present disasters immediately.

中世末期から織豊期にみられる寺院や城郭の石垣普請には技術水準の高い土木,造園的職能の形成が示唆されている。本研究では,これら石垣普請の職能形成に関して,当時の日記や史料などからの検討や,土木作業にあたっていた散所といわれる階層を含む民や寺社の座の分析,また,現存する石垣の遺構を考察することなどを通じて,石垣普請に携わった職能の発展過程を検討した。その結果,石垣普請に関わる職能は大工や河原者などの職能形成には遅れるものの,権門寺社の石垣構築や佐々木六角氏や浅井氏などの戦国大名の居城建設等を契機として,散所の民や権門寺社お控えの職人層が各地で石垣を積み,技術力を高めそれらが安土城で集大成された後,秀吉の時代に棟梁化して石垣積みの穴太としての地位を高めていく過程が考察された。

For the establishment of successful cryopreservation of Caenorhabditis elegans, freezing survival of the nematode was investigated in the presence of dimethylsulfoxide. When nematodes were cooled to -20 ℃ with the rate of 0.2 ℃/min after ice seeding treatment at -3 ℃, survival rate of the nematode increased with the time of exposure to the DMSO solution before freezing. The rate was above 80% irrespective of the cooling temperature between -20 to -75 ℃. However, the nematodes hardly survived when they were quenched by liquid nitrogen after the pre-freezing at -20 ℃, The rate of freezing survival became higher with the decrease in the pre-freezing temperature before plunging into LN_2. Heating rate also affected freezing survival. Slow heating probably prevented rapid rehydration of the nematode and increased survival rate after thawing.
