This article reviews the literature on social justice with an emphasis on the subjective properties of justice. The author contends that there are four major perspectives for understanding past research into the history of justice and its future directions: a) the antecedents of justice which identify the criteria and factors of perceptions of fairness, b) the consequences of justice which focus on the effect of fairness perceptions on individual responses, c) the motives for justice which discuss why people are sensitive to fairness, and d) the concerns of justice that highlight the internal and/or external conditions driving people to fairness. The author reviews the vast amount of theoretical and empirical research that underlies each of the 4 approaches mentioned above. Important directions of future research are also discussed.

We developed a spherical immersive projection display, a new model of EV(EnspheredVision). This display consists of spherical screen, plane mirror, convex mirror, six projectors and mechanical shutter. Multiple projector enables to improve the image resolution and brightness as compared with the former EV. Observer can watch the 360 degree panoramic stereo image using liquid crystal shutter glasses.

桜島は活発な火山活動を続け、火山灰は周辺地域の生活環境や生産活動に大きな影響を与えている。この火山灰の処理については、各自治体は苦慮しているのが現状である。本研究は、この無用の廃物として処理に因っている火山灰を材料面に有効的に利用することを目的とするものであり、その研究成果の概要は次のとおりである。1、火山灰中の水に可溶性フッ素イオン、塩化物イオンおよび硫酸イオンなどの陰イオンを浮選法により分離除去した。除去率はF^ー:89%,Cl^ー:87%,SO^<2ー>_4:60%を示した。2.コンクリ-ト中の鉄筋の電位差を測定し、腐食状況と電位差との相関を検索した。その結果、腐食の経時変化とともに電位の変動が認められた。3.火山灰は海砂に比べ、比重が大きく、摩耗抵抗性もよい性質を有している。したがって、コンクリ-ト用細骨材として用いた場合、高強度コンクリ-トおよび摩耗特性を求める構造物への利用が十分可能である。4.火山灰の陶磁器素地への利用は、火山灰60〜70%、粘土30〜40%を配合することにより、従来の黒薩摩焼の焼成温度より160℃も低い温度で焼成することができ、省エネルギ-化が画られた。また、陶磁器釉薬への利用は、火山灰325メッシュ通過粒分を単独で用い、良好な釉薬が得られた。5.火山灰80%、粘土20%の配合割合の50mm×50mm×5mmのテストピ-スを作り、焼成温度1160℃で、1〜2時間焼成することにより、陶磁器質タイルを試作することができた。これは日本工業規格の試験法に適合し実用化できることがわかった。

The purpose of this study was to identify the ground reaction force and lower extremity joint kinetics during clean exercises performed with light and heavy loads. Thirteen male track and field athletes performed the clean exercises from 20 kg to one repetition maximum (1RM). Kinetic data were collected from recorded data using a Vicon motion system (250 Hz) and force platforms (1,000 Hz). The results of the analyses were as follows: (1) Ground reaction force and joint kinetics of hip and ankle were increased by increasing loads in clean exercises. (2) From light to heavy loads, we found relationships between ground reaction force and joint torque of hip in clean exercises. (3) In progressing from light to heavy loads, some subjects continued to involve the muscle group controlling the hip joint as the main power source, while others did not. The results indicate that clean exercises yield different individual characteristics for training. These results suggest that the clean exercise is effective for selectively the hip extensor in all loads.

Side to side difference in tennis players' mid-radius and cross-sectional study on mid-tibia of jumpers and sedentary controls suggest that the improvement of mechanical properties of cortical bone in response to long-term exercise is related to geometric adaptation and not to volumetric bone mineral density. In the present study, geometric and mechanical properties of right tibia were estimated along 64 directions centering center of gravity of the bone on cross-sectional peripheral quantitative computed tomography (pQCT) images. The tibias of 17 jumpers (7 females, 10 males) and 15 controls (8 females, 7males), aged 18-23, were scanned at mid site using pQCT. Periosteal and endocortical radius were larger, cortical thickness was thicker, and mechanical properties (moment of inertia of area and strength strain index) were greater in jumpers compared to those of controls. The differences in cortical thickness between the two groups were dependent on direction of measurement. Defined a direction from tibia's center of gravity to fibula's as 0°, difference in the cortical thickness between jumpers and controls was the greatest at around 240°. Along this direction, differences in mechanical properties were also the most significant, suggesting that the site-specific adaptation of bone to long-term exercise is due to geographical relation of bone to muscle.

脳活動に基づいて機器の操作を可能にする BMI (Brain Machine Interface) 技術を実環境に適用することを目指したネットワーク型 BMI プロジェクトにおいて、BMI 応用サービスを容易に提供可能なサービス基盤が必要である。そこで、エージェントの連携によってシステムを表現することで、状況に応じて適応的な振る舞いが可能なエージェントベース分散処理基盤を提案する。一般に、エージェントベースで構成されたシステムは、垂直統合で構成されたシステムに対して遅延が大きいため、実時間性がある BMI 応用サービスに適用できるのかが明らかでない。そこで、P2P エージェント基盤 PIAX 上に実証システムを構築し、実環境を想定したシミュレーションを行った。その結果、分散処理基盤上での遅延時間をおおむね 50ms 以下に抑えられていることが分かり、実現可能であることを明らかにした。

無線通信回路の周波数シンセサイザや,マイクロプロセサの高速クロック生成回路において,必須の回路がPLLである。通常はアナログ回路で実現する。このPLLを,すべてデジタル回路で構成するという設計コンセプトが「ADPLL」だ。実際にADPLLを利用した回路の研究開発を進めている群馬大学の小林氏らが,ADPLLの意義や,構成について解説する。

As a study in a series to investigate the effect of anodized coating on fatigue strength of aluminum alloys, repeated tensile fatigue test was conducted in laboratory air and at room temperature under the stress ratio of 0.01 using smooth plate specimen of A2014-T6 and A6151-T6 with anodized film thickness of 3&mu;m. Fatigue strength of the anodized specimens decreased by 20-30% as compared with those of uncoated one. Decrease of fatigue strength depended on static strength of the tested materials. The fracture of anodized coating film occurred at the critical strain formed by the accumulation of plastic deformation of substrate metal at an early stage of repeated tensile fatigue process and crack was induced in the substrate at the flaw of the anodized film. It was recognized that fatigue life of anodized specimens was quantitatively evaluated by the consideration of cyclic stress-strain response and strain-life fatigue behavior.

今日の学校現場では,電子黒板が普及し,黒板と共にある環境が増えてきており,黒板と電子黒板の特徴を踏まえて,どのように使うかが重要になっている.本稿では,黒板と電子黒板を組み合わせることで児童生徒の主体的な学びを支援することを目的に行った,黒板に板書された情報の電子黒板への複製・表示,電子黒板上の表示情報の黒板上への表示を可能にするシステムの提案と開発について述べる.

向精神薬の長期服用中に,著明な低酸素血症と肺高血圧症を呈した慢性血栓塞栓性肺高血圧症を経験した.症例Iは58歳,女性.分裂病で抗精神薬の長期服用歴あり.平成8年より労作性の息切れ,呼吸困難が出現.動脈血酸素分圧47.4mmHg,肺動脈圧75/28(45)mmHg.肺血流シンチで両側肺野に多発性に集積低下,欠損像を認め,右下肢深部静脈血栓症も認めたことより,慢性血栓塞栓性肺高血圧症と診断した.下大静脈フィルターの留置,抗凝固療法,在宅酸素療法,t-PAの静脈内投与を行った.平成10年3月右心不全で死亡.診断後約1年6カ月の経過だった.剖検で肺動脈内に血栓閉塞と再疎通所見,血栓の器質化による血管腔の狭小化,著明な右室肥大(500g)を認めた.症例IIは63歳,女性.トリアゾラムの長期服用歴あり.平成10年に顔面の浮腫で発症.動脈血酸素分圧38.1mmHg,肺動脈圧97/40(62)mmHg.肺血流シンチで両側肺野に集積低下,欠損像を認め,肺動脈造影で主幹部の拡張と末梢での途絶,消失像を認めた.下肢静脈瘤あり.平成12年1月呼吸不全で死亡.発症約2年の経過だった.ともに小太りの初老の女性で,下肢の静脈異常を有し,向精神薬の長期の服用歴があった.発症に向精神薬の関連が示唆された.
