This study investigated self-worth as a mediator between socio-environmental experiences and depression. A sample of 255 fifth and sixth grade students completed self-report questionnaires assessing self-worth, depression, and socio-environmental experiences of social support and stressors. Data for both males and females showed a direct effect of "friend support" on depression. However,for males,but not females, self-worth also mediated the influence of "friend support" on depression.

本論文では,我々が新世代ネットワークとして提案する仮想ネットワーク技術を実現する際,単一ノードが支援する技術について検討を行う.仮想ネットワークはリンク資源,処理資源を統合的に扱うため,単一ノードでは仮想マシン技術を応用することで,効率的な資源割当てを実現できると考える.資源割当が正しく行われた仮想マシンが相互に連携して仮想ネットワーク全体の資源分割を支援する.そこで,我々はまず仮想マシンの資源利用状況を監視し,単一ノード内で実際に使われていない資源を,資源が足りていない仮想マシンに割当てることで,資源の利用効率やサービスのスケーラビリティ向上を目指す.また,その応用例として,仮想マシンの再起動に対する冗長性について検討を行う.再起動の原因に応じて資源割当てを変化させることで,仮想マシンが提供するサービスを効率的に継続して提供できる.

脊髄損傷などによって車いすを使用する場合、退院して自宅に帰るのに住宅改修が必要となることが多い。当センターでは住宅改修の支援を行っているが、退院後の生活がどのようになるかがわからない、住宅改修をどのように進めていいかわからない、など大きな不安を感じている方々も多い。そこで、これらの不安を解消したり、住環境整備のための円滑な準備に繋がるような、住環境整備に関する情報提供のための映像資料作成を試みた。

リフティング構成されたウェーブレット変換に基づく画像符号化は,フィルタ処理後にラウンディング処理を行うことで効率的な可逆符号化が可能となるため,可逆・非可逆統合符号化の一手法として近年注目されている.しかし,ラウンディング処理が非可逆符号化時にも行われる場合,量子化誤差に加えてラウンディング誤差が再生画像に重畳されるため,これにより更なるSNRの低下を招いてしまう.そこで本論文では,一般的なNステージに拡張可能な,新しい非分離型2次元ウェーブレットの変換モジュールを提案する.これにより,従来の分離型ウェーブレットと互換性があり,なおかつ,ラウンディング誤差の低減された可逆・非可逆統合符号化が可能となる.更に,ラウンディング誤差のフィルタバンク内の伝搬メカニズムを解析し,再生画像に重畳するラウンディング誤差の分数値を理論的に導出することで,Nステージにおけるラウンディング誤差の低減効果を理論的に裏づける.結果,ラウンディング誤差の分散値が分離型に比べて50%程度低減できること,及び,高ビットレート非可逆符号化時において平均1.30[dB]程度のSNR改善が確認された.

ネットワーク上の大量の情報コンテンツに対して,マップ散策型のインタフェースを用いて関連発見的々情報提供を可能とするコンテンツガイドシステム「AssociaGuidelを提案する.AssociaGuidoによって電子地図をメタファとする操作感覚で,直感的にコンテンツの探索が可能となる.本研究では,ネットワーク上の大量のストリーミング映像コンテンツのガイドを実現するブロードバンドコンテンツガイドシステムとしてAssociaGuideを提案する. AssociaGuideの画面七ではブロードバンドコンテンツは,各ジャンルごとに宇宙空間の星雲のように表現され,所望のジャンルにズームインするとサムネイルとして表示される.サムネイルをクリックすることによりプレビュー映像が提示され,映像の世界ですばやく番組の概要を掴むことが可能である.さらに本視聴を指定するとプレイヤーが立ち上がりストリーミングコンテンツを閲覧することができる.このようにAssociaGuideでは,マップ散策空間上で映像サーフィンを楽しむ様々な機能が提供されている.

Auf seinem ganzen Denkweg, der entscheidend durch die Seinsfrage bestimmt wurde, stellt sich Heidegger auch die Frage nach dem Raum. In Sein und Zeit wird die Raumlichkeit des Daseins thematisiert, d.h. der von der "ausrichtenden Entfernung" geoffnete Spielraum des Daseins selbst im Umkreis des "nachstbesorgten Zeugganzen". Aber diese Analyse soll die Frage nach der "Verkoppelung" von Raum und Zeit erst vorbereiten. Das Eigentumliche des Raumes muss verhullt bleiben, solange die Interpretation des ontologischen Sinnes von Sein uberhaupt als Zeit nicht durchgefuhrt wird. Dagegen wird in Heideggers spaten Denken das Sein des Dinges schlechthin als der Ort aufgefasst, der die eigentliche und ursprungliche Welt (das Geviert) "versammelt". Und Dinge, die in diesem Sinne "Orte" sind, geben jeweils erst Raume frei. Das Hervorbringen solcher Dinge ist Bauen im Sinne der ursprunglichen Kunst (griechisch techne). In Die Kunst und der Raum ist die Rede vom "Zueinanderspiel" von Kunst und Raum als einem aus physis zu denkenden Urphanomen. Am Beispiel des plastischen Gebildes sieht Heidegger den kunstlerischen Raum unter drei Aspekten (dem vom Werk "freigegebenen" Raum uberhaupt, dem Volumen, der Leere). Wenn die Kunst das Ins-Werk-Bringen der Wahrheit ist, wird dann nicht das Eigentumliche des "wahren" Raumes erst durch das Kunstwerk "entborgen"?

In this paper, separation of laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) due to PAHs and incandescence (LII) due to soot by time-resolved measurement was demonstrated for the propane diffusion flame. Laser-induced fluorescence method for the measurement of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in diffusion flame was developed. A KrF excimer laser was used for excite the PAHs. Strong laser-induced incandescence due to soot was appeared with fluorescence signal due to PAHs. In order to separate the signals into LII and the PAHs-LIF detected from diffusion flame, time-resolved measurement was carried out. A pico-second gate CCD camera with a image intensifier was used taking a time-resolved image. From the two different images, which were taken at different time-delay, PAHs-LIF and LII were obtained. Intensity distributions of PAHs-LIF and LII were measured on the flame axis. Overlap region of the LIF and LII was observed around the onset position of the yellow flame. In this region, LIF intensity decreased and LII intensity increased along the flow direction. It seemed that this region was transition region from the PAHs to soot and was attributed the presence of soot precursor.

配偶者との死別は人生の中で最も厳しい試練であると言われている。しかしこの種のテーマを扱った実証的研究は乏しく, とりわけ, 高齢者のそれは皆無に近い。そこで著者は94年10月から95年9月まで, 配偶者と死別した65才以上の高齢者に聞き取り調査を実施した。調査地域は富山県の農村部で, 配偶者と死別後7-8ヵ月が経過した頃に訪問を実施した。調査結果から得られた所見は次の通りであった。1.高齢者の死別後の悲嘆過程は一般的に若年者のそれよりもマイルドである。2.しかし次のようなケースでは社会的サポートを必要とする。即ち, 1)死別後独居となって, 家族や友人からの支援がほとんど無い場合。2)配偶者が急死したために心の準備ができなかった場合。3)日常生活に多大な困難がある場合。4)死別者自身に深刻な健康問題があったり, 経済的に不安のある場合。5)配偶者への治療に不満を持ち, 医師に怒りを感じている場合。6)性格的な問題があったり, 家族と同居していても, 関係が良好ではない場合。3.これらの高齢者の支援のためには, 現存の訪問看護システムに死別カウンセリングを導入したり, 高齢死別者自身の自助グループの結成援助等さまざまな取り組みが必要とされよう。

Lenthionine, a highly sulfur-containing odorous substance, has been isolated from Lentinus edodes (Berk.) Sing [Shiitake Mushroom]. The compound represents the characteristic odor of the mushroom and the structure was established to be 1,2,3,5,6-pentathiepane (1) by physico-chemical measurements. 1,2,4,6-Tetrathiepane (II) and 1,2,3,4,5,6-hexathiepane (III) were also separated from the mushroom in minor quantities. All these cyclic methylene polysulfides from natural source were synthesized from simple starting materials. A precursor of lenthionine was isolated in a crystalline form. The compound was not stable and gradually decomposed into lenthionine and its analogs after being left standing at room temperature. The structure of this precursor (IV) is proposed on the basis of the conventional and high resolution mass spectral studies. Finally, the mechanisms of formation of lenthionine and its analogs from the precursor is discussed.
