炭酸泉入浴剤を用いた足浴(バブ浴)が生体に与える影響と効果について調べるために、健康な女子学生11名を対象に、足浴前後の足背の末梢皮膚血流量と末梢皮膚温度の測定を実施し、さら湯浴と人工炭酸泉浴との比較検討を行った。その結果、バブ浴と人工炭酸泉浴ともに足浴による下肢の浸責部位である足背の末梢皮膚血流量は、足浴直前に比べ足浴10分後に有意に増加した。しかし、さら湯浴ではこれらの両足浴よりも有意に血流量の増加率は低かった。また、足背の末梢皮膚温度は、人工炭酸泉浴とバブ浴では、足浴直前に比べ足浴後15分に有意な上昇が認められたが、さら湯浴のみ有意な皮膚温度の上昇は認められなかった。これらのことから、バブ浴は人工炭酸泉浴に準じる足浴中の皮膚血流量増加作用と足浴終了後の皮膚温度保持効果、ひいては、循環促進効果が示唆された。

脱毛症に対する先進医療として、細胞を用いた毛髪再生医療が注目されている。毛包由来の毛乳頭細胞を用いた基礎研究が多く行われる中、未だにヒト細胞から構成される毛包の新生は実現していない。近年、毛包を構成する真皮毛根鞘に比較的未分化な細胞が多く存在することが明らかになってきた。この真皮毛根鞘に存在する間葉系細胞である真皮毛根鞘細胞に着目し、臨床応用可能な毛髪再生治療を開発することが本研究の目的である。本年度は、まず臨床検体の採取と毛包由来の毛乳頭細胞および真皮毛根鞘細胞の初代培養を行った。患者からの提供検体に付属する毛包を採取し、毛乳頭と毛根鞘をそれぞれ単離した。大気酸素下または低酸素下で細胞培養を行ったところ、いずれの場合も細胞の増幅が可能であったが、特に真皮毛根鞘細胞は低酸素環境下で増殖活性が増大した。細胞移植による治療には細胞の増幅が不可欠であるが、毛乳頭細胞よりも増殖活性の低い真皮毛根鞘細胞の増幅を得るためには低酸素環境下での培養が有効であることを確認できた。次に増幅後の培養細胞を用いて遺伝子発現解析を行った。細胞内に発現している多分化能関連遺伝子のmRNA量をRT-PCRで解析したところ、真皮毛根鞘細胞ではSOX2の発現が毛乳頭細胞と比較して40倍以上高値を示した。真皮毛根鞘細胞は毛包再構築の主体となる毛乳頭細胞とは異なる特徴をもつこと、および毛包新生を実現するための移植細胞ツールとして高い潜在性を有することが確認できた。

An earthquake measuring 6.4 in Magnitude (M) on the Richter scale occurred at 16:02 on July 1, 2000, with an epicenter in the sea near Niijima and Kozushima Islands in the Izu island chain. It was followed by torrential rainfall caused by typhoon No.3 in July 7 and 8, and another earthquake measuring M 6.0 at 3:57 on July 9, with a hypocenter near the previous earthquake. They triggered many slope failures in Kozushima Island. The slope failures damaged some houses, and also produced a large amount of sediments on the beds of many streams.<br>In order to assess the risk of sediment-related disasters, the team of Erosion and Sediment Control Department in Public Works Research Institute has surveyed the state of slope failure deposits and erosion and sediment control facilities. The results of the surveys from July 4 to 6 and July 10 to 11 are as follows. 1) Slope failure sediments on the streambeds increase danger of debris flow disasters, because these streams have few erosion and sediment control facilities, except for Kozusawa. 2) Many slope failures and a few landslides were recognized in the surveyed area. Many of these failures occurred in the area of pyroclastic deposits. 3) The torrential rainfall by typhoon No.3 and the earthquake in July 9 widen the area of slope failure caused by the earthquake in July hand also caused new failures. It suggests that additional rainfall or earthquake will cause new failures and area extention of the failures which already occurred.

自閉症スペクトラム障害(autism spectrum disorder:ASD)は,音声言語表出や理解にアクセントを含むプロソディの処理が困難であるとされている.一定のアクセント型を持たない一型式アクセントの方言地域において同音異義語で誤る場合,方言の影響なのかASDの認知特性の影響なのか不明である.本研究は一型式アクセント地域に住むASD児の単語アクセントの聴覚的識別・理解の特徴を明らかにするために,絵と音声のアクセント型が一致する一致条件,絵と音声のアクセント型が一致しない不一致条件,絵と音声(単語)が一致しない統制条件からなる同音異義語の正誤判断課題を用いて,定型発達児・者とASD児を比較し検討した.その結果,一致条件の平均正答数において,ASD児群は一型式アクセント群の成人より有意に低下していることが示された.ASD児は,単語アクセントの聴覚的識別・理解において,方言と年齢の影響を受けているということが示唆された.

Today, eggs are considered a good food because of the low price and availability in large quantity. Our company is producing and selling thick baked eggs under the name "ltamagoyaki". The product is sold to stores or customers to be put together with sushi or bento(such as a lunch box). It is made through a production line that includes the processes of mixing,baking, packaging and sterilizing. It is said that 70 to 80 percent of taste (savoriness) of this sponge-like product is contributed by physical properties rather than chemical properties. In this study, technology development was conducted to improve the physical property related to mechanical measurement instead of using sensory test.

A postcard nowadays is perceived self-evident as a private communication tool; however, it was once "a new medium" in the past. This paper explores a postcard from a historical viewpoint to reconsider it as a medium. Paying attention to socio-cultural factors surrounding the establishment of postal service system in Japanese modernization process, it will closely look into "Hagaki Bungaku" (in Japanese, the title literally means "postcard literature"), a popular magazine specializing in a picture postcard hobby. The main discussion is about its readers' active contribution as well as its editorial policy during the Russo-Japanese War period which is said to be the heyday of picture postcards. In this paper, the concept of hagaki bungaku, which in fact suggested writing "short literature on a postcard", will be investigated in relation to material characteristics of picture postcards. Meanwhile, the "postcard literature" written by the magazine's readers will be examined in terms of cultural practices, linking with the socio-cultural aspects of Meiji era. Finally, this paper summarizes "a postcard as literature" as "a possible pattern" of postcards as a medium, indicating that the framework achieved from historical approach of media will be also efficient in understanding contemporary media phenomena.

本稿は,衰退傾向にある我が国の地場産業や伝統的工芸品産業の活性化を検討するものである。その活性化のひとつの方法として検討したのが,地域の資源や既存技術を活用し,現在の消費者のライフスタイルに沿った,デザイン性の高い商品を開発していくことである。その目的を明らかにするために,まず,地場産業や伝統的工芸品産業が置かれている状況,および,クリエイティブやデザイン事業を得意とするセメントプロデュースデザインが取り組んできた「みんなの地域産業協力活動」の活動事例を説明した。その後,実際に地域との協業を通じて開発されてきた商品群の中で,より高い成果(販売実績)を産み出すための要件を明らかにするために,複数の要因の相互作用による組み合わせパターンを探る「fsQCA」(fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis)によるデータ分析を行った。分析の結果,2つの組み合わせパターンが抽出された。主な組み合わせとしては,「熱意」と「企画提案の程度」,そこに「技術力(設備)」が組み合わされる場合,高い販売実績につながることが明らかになった。

The purposes of this study were to develop the Japanese-version Affective Control Scale (JACS) and to investigate the relationship between fear of emotions and stress responses. In study I, we had 517 undergraduates completed the JACS. Results indicated the JACS had high internal consistency. Also, the subscales of the JACS were substantially intercorrelated. In study II, we had 348 undergraduates completed the questionnaire that assessed fear of emotions, neuroticism, trait meta-mood, and avoidance of negative emotions. Construct validities of the JACS were confirmed based on the correlations of these variables. In Study III, we had 140 undergraduates completed the questionnaire that assessed fear of emotions, coping strategies, and stress responses. As a result, fear of emotions was positively correlated with avoidance and stress responses. Theses results indicate that fear of emotions seem to be the factor linking coping strategies and stress responses. The theoretical and clinical implications of these results were discussed.

In the present paper, we investigate the asymmetric simple exclusion process with parallel dynamics on a ring of finite sites. We focus on the correspondence between the asymmetric exclusion process and the zero-range process, and exploit the recursion formula for the partition function of the zero-range process. Then, we find that the explicit formulas for the partition function and the average velocity (or the flux) in the steady state are expressed by the Gauss hypergeometric functions.
