鶏の血液型研究の発展のあとをたどりながら,鶏の血液型研究の現状について概説した。本文中でも述べたように,現在の鶏血液型の研究はMHCの研究であると云っても過言ではない。かなりの研究がMHCの構造と機能の解明に向けられている。今後,この方面の研究が一層活発に行われることを期待したい。

For the electronic equipment, various printed circuit boards are used. Recently, the electronic equipment is getting miniaturized, and insulation reliability of the printed circuit boards becomes the important problem. In this environment, paper phenol base printed circuit boards are produced a lot and mainly used for the consumer article, so that we examined the ionic-migration of paper phenol base printed circuit boards. Generally, the resistance value of the paper phenol base printed circuit board is lowered with continual rapid-dropping and recovering of the resistance value in the high-humidity/temperature test for ionic-migration when it passed about 1500 hours. However, when it passed after 300 hours, the rapid changes of the resistance value by the ionic-migration were observed in our test, and it was observed that the bridging is done between some electrodes of the printed circuit boards.

This study aims to reveal the current status of inter-religious marriage in India through analysis of the life histories of couples and interviews with voluntary organizations. Inter-religious marriage has hitherto been analyzed primarily from two points of view: the antagonism couples face in dealing with the social norms, especially vis-a-vis their families and relatives; and the opportunity inter-religious marriage affords couples to transform themselves and intimate others through their everyday interactions and relationships with the people around them. However, actors outside of family and relatives have not been taken into consideration as agents that mediate and collaborate in the process of their struggle. Such actors include voluntary organizations, which are treated in this article. This paper first discusses the various problems that inter-religious couples have faced since the 1970s. It then describes the background that allowed them to marry and the process of antagonization, negotiation, and collaboration, focusing on the interaction and relationships between the inter-religious couples and various actors who protect and support them. Finally, it reveals that although inter-religious marriage involves various problems in everyday life, such as family strife and isolation, couples have attempted to manage the situation by continuing to negotiate with the actors around them. Voluntary organizations play a key role in this process of negotiation and construction of new social relationships by mediating between the couples and other social actors.

LHC(Large Hadron Collider)で2012年ヒッグス粒子が発見された。ヒッグス粒子の発見は,「標準理論」最後の未発見粒子が発見されたというだけの話ではない。真空の概念を変えるこの発見は,時空や真空への物理へとパラダイムシフトへの幕開けである。この新しいパラダイムでは,宇宙の暗黒物質や暗黒エネルギーの理解や,宇宙誕生の謎に迫ることが期待されている。本解説では,ヒッグス粒子の基礎と,実験でどのように発見したかを解説する。

A marine raphidophyte Heterosigma akashiwo is a causative agent of harmful microalgal blooms, which often cause the massive mortality of aquacultured finfish. In the present study, the Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas was reared with H. akashiwo, and effect of the microalga on filter-feeding behavior and microflora of the gastrointestinal tract was investigated. The intake of the raphidophyte cells inhibited the molluscan filter-feeding activities, suggesting the negative physiological effect of the microalgal cell contents. However, the bivalves ingested the H. akashiwo cells to the same extent as the diatom Chaetoceros calcitrans, a non-harmful indicator to estimate the filtration rate, showing a continuation of their non-selective ingestion of the phytoplankton. Microflora of the oyster soft tissue was dominated by bacteria affiliated with the family Rhodobacteraceae, some of which are associated with microalgae. In addition, the Bacteroidetes species, in which algicidal bacteria are included, were also found in the bivalve individuals exposed to H. akashiwo. These results suggested that the ingested phytoplankton affected the microbial flora in the gastrointestinal tracts, some constituents of which helped the mollusc assimilate the ingested red tide phytoplankton. This study will provide beneficial information to clarify mechanisms by which the oyster evades the ichthyotoxicity of harmful microalgae and the participation of the intestinal microorganisms in these processes.

富栄養化及び,藍藻類のブルーミングは依然として世界中で重要な問題となっている。近年,Geo-engineeringな手法を用いることで,湖沼保全方法の知見が増え,また,新しい分析手法が開発されたことで,細かいプロセスが明らかになってきた。本総説では最初に富栄養化対策について俯瞰的に議論し細かいプロセス研究の重要性を示したい。その後,無機態・有機態リンの循環について議論する。最後に,筆者自身が行っている今後の研究について議論したい。

An ecological model of Lake Yunoko, a dimictic lake, was developed to obtain quantitative information on the nutrient cycle in Lake Yunoko, particularly the sediment-waterinteractions and to assess various programs for eutrophication control. A multi-component dynamic model for nutrients in the bottom sediment-water system was incorporated into the model, one dimensional water temperature-water quality-ecological model. Good agreement between the model calculations and observed nutrients, chlorophyll-a, and dissolved oxygen concentrations in the water and nutrients concentrations in the bottom sediment was noted. The agreement between the model calculations and the measured nutrient flux from bottom sediment during the summer stagnation period was good. The effectiveness of eutrophication control programson chlorophyll-a concentration in the surface water and dissolved oxygen concentration in the bottom water was assessed using the calibrated model. Sediment dredging decreased nutrient flux from bottom sediment. As a result, chlorophyll-a concentrations in the surface water at autumncirculation period decreased in comparison with those of the control simulation. However, sediment dredging had not an effect on the depression of nutrient release flux after 4 years as compared with the control simulation. The depletion of dissolved oxygen in the bottom water during the summer stagnation period was scarcely restored by dredging only. Artificial circulation increased dissolved oxgen in the bottom water more than 5.2 mg 1-1 throughout the year, whereas chlorophyll-a concentration in the surface water scarcely decreased compared with the control simulation.In the case of 50 percent reduction of external phosphorus loading from the wastewater treatment facility, the annual average chlorophyll-a concentration in the surface water decreased to 79 percentof that of the control simulation for the 4 th year.

核兵器を巡る国際社会の体制は、一方で核兵器の究極的な廃絶を謳いつつ、他方で核軍縮や 核使用制限には抵抗するという矛盾に覆われている。これは核廃絶に向けた軍縮政策と、現実に存在する核の脅威を抑止するという安全保障政策との両立が困難であるというジレンマに直面したとき、責任ある政府は安全保障を追及せざるをえないという現実主義を、核なき世界という平和主義よりも優先するからである。本研究は安全保障研究を牽引してきた数理政治学者と共同して核による報復攻撃に依拠せずに安全を確保する核戦略を解明・考案することを目指すNew Nuclear Deterrence Theoryプロジェクトを推進するものである。
