本稿は,大学院の理系研究室の運営を「ラボラトリーマネジメント」と位置付け,効果的なラボラトリーマネジメントを探求するために,ラボラトリーマネジメントの課題を明らかにすることを目的としている。まず,ラボラトリーマネジメントに関連する先行研究を概観した上で,先行研究では民間研究組織との比較検討の視点が欠けていることを指摘した。次に,大学院理系研究室と民間研究組織との比較検討から①小規模な組織,②高い流動性,③PIの大きな自由裁量度,④多面的な成果評価という4つの特徴を導出し,大学院研究室の運営責任者であるPI(Principal Investigator,主任研究員)は,「小規模で流動性が高い組織において,大きな裁量のもとに,多様な成果を達成することを求められている」ことを明らかにした。最後に,上記の特徴を検討し,ラボラトリーマネジメンの課題として,①先輩と後輩の経験格差が非常に小さいことを前提としたOJTの運用と,②実験研修・研究打合せ・研究発表等の制度の構築と維持を指摘した。

本研究では,日本音楽著作権協会(JASRAC)等を訪問し,音楽利用に関する著作権使用料徴収・分配の現状について調査を行った.その結果,インタラクティブ配信の領域において,楽曲利用の報告が不十分なために著作権使用料の徴収・分配精度が低く,決定的な対策がとられていないことが分かった.本論文では,インタラクティブ配信の中で違法な楽曲流通が多いP2P(Peer-to-Peer)ネットワークによるユーザ間の音楽共有に対して,現在行われている不正流通の監視ではなく,著作権処理を行わせた上で,合法的にP2Pネットワークで楽曲を流通させる方式を提案する.提案方式では,P2Pネットワークでの楽曲流通を管理するために,著作権管理サーバと呼ぶサーバを置く.また,ユーザが流通させる楽曲の特定に,放送番組の利用楽曲特定に実用化されつつあるオーディオフィンガープリント(AFP)を利用する.各種のP2Pネットワークで流通する楽曲について,AFP技術を用いた著作権処理の所要機能を明らかにし,諸機能をユーザPCとサーバの連携によって実現する著作権処理プラットホームの提案と評価を行う.更に,AFPによる楽曲特定をリアルタイムで行うためのAFP照合システムについて,各種サーバ分散処理方式の性能解析を行い,AFP照合に伴うユーザ待ち時間を合理的な範囲内に抑える分散形態を明らかにする.

Animations, pop songs and other fictional contents are popular among young people in Japan. In such fictional contents, stargazing is often represented hyper-beautifully. Possible socio-cultural background of the phenomenon is that stargazing and astronomy are not familiar in many people’s life. Thus, in this research, the author held a stargazing party combined with “TOYAKO Manga Anime Festa” and making people experience in reality stargazing represented in fictions. The party consisted of a night part and a day part. Besides, the author aimed to find out things which participants of the party learned through the party, and relations between the participants’ experiences in stargazing, the image of astronomy and the media representation by a questionnaire survey. There were 34 respondents. As a result of the questionnaire survey for participants of the day part of the party, the following was found out: (1) The 65% of respondents was female. (2) The mean age of respondents was 31.0 years old (SD = 12.0). (3) The 17% of respondents answered “Strongly Disagree” or “Disagree” to the question item: “I felt that stargazing became more familiar.” They were in the minority. (4) The 64% of respondents had no one around them who liked astronomical observation or stargazing. (5) A variety of media contents having scenes of stargazing or a starry sky left an impression on respondents’ mind. These facts indicate the following conclusion: (1) The participants of the stargazing party seemed to feel that stargazing and astronomy became more familiar and to have realized new things. (2) What not yet revealed are details of effects of the stargazing party, and the relation between respondents’ experiences in stargazing in the past, their images of astronomy, and media representation.

This study examines how educators inculcated the ideological doctorines and how pupils accepted them in the Military Academy (Rikugun Shikan Gakkd) and the Cadet School (Rikugun Yonen Gakkd). We focus on the relation of pupils' aspirations for rising in the world (rissin-shusse) to the doctorines, devotion to the Emperor (hoko). Reading some documents, we can see that their aspirations for rissin-shusse were not necessarily repressed or cooled out in the process of the.ideological inculcation. The devotion to the Emperor legitimated their rissinshusse and both were equated each other in their consciousness. And refering to professional officers' daily lives in 1920s', it is suggested that such a mental character played an important role in the wartime.

The fact that the pictures of the Imperial family of Japan were called "goshin-ei", and were treated as the icons of the religious observance at schools in modern Japan was pointed out by a lot of preceding studies on the "goshin-ei". According to these precedent studies, on festival days of the Imperial family, school students at the prewar days were made to worship pictures of the Imperial family that Japanese government sent to many schools, and through these religious observances at schools, the government succeeded in cultivating the respects for the Imperial family in Japanese people. By the way, many pictures and portraits of the Imperial family of Japan were sold by private merchants, and were printed in newspapers and magazines frequently at prewar days. But preceding studies on the "goshin-ei" treated the pictures of the Imperial family that the government sent to schools exclusively, and didn't refer to the pictures and portraits of the Imperial family sold or distributed by private merchants and the mass media. The purposes of this paper are to elucidate the activities of the Japanese government, the mass media and people around gravures of the Imperial family of Japan in newspapers and magazines at prewar times, and to make clear the mentalities to the Imperial family that these gravures cultivated in Japanese people.

This paper discusses the applicability of social capital theory to research on adult and community education. In the field of adult and community education, clarifying the process of subjectivity has been a central task. However, because the self is restricted by society, it is necessary to adopt a relational approach. The leading theory of this kind is social capital theory, which regards social relationships as a sort of “capital”, and clarifies the mechanisms of accumulation and diversion of this “capital”. In the 1970s, there was discussion about the relationships between community and education. One approach was to view the community as a system and try to reveal its structure, and the other approach was to focus on the construction process of the community through residents’ movements. Social capital theory has the potential to adjust this dichotomy between the subject and structure, by focusing on the process and the function of social relationships. The work of Robert D. Putnam, the leading proponent of social capital theory, has three characteristics. The first is conceptualizing the social condition of regulating or affecting governance as social capital. The second is regarding social relationships as a sort of capital, which makes it possible to measure the amount of social capital across the ages and to compare social capital across countries and regions. The third is developing the possibility of conducting intervention studies into the community in order to construct social capital. In Japan, policy makers and researchers have shown increasing interest in social capital theory, with the promotion of community governance in recent years. The theory of social capital affects the lifelong learning policies of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the European Union, and attempts have been made to identify point of contact between the theory and research on adult and community education. Experience has shown that adult and community education can create partnerships and trust among residents in a local community, and that these relationships can add to lead to changes in the community. Social capital can add to this understanding by providing a theoretical framework and guidelines for empirical research. When trying to apply the concept of social capital to research on adult and community education, it is necessary to clarify the level of analysis, to focus on social networks, to examine nature as “capital,” and to reconsider the concept of social capital as a dynamic one. In future research on adult and community education, it is important to capture not only social relationships among individuals but also social relationships among associations and groups in the community, the process of getting engaged in community activities through belonging to such groups, and how the community is constructed through cumulative activities.
