For the adult daycare entrepreneur in Fukui-shi, the questionnaire about pick-up service was carried out and it investigated about the pick-up method, the problem at the time of a welcome and send-off, etc. The door-to-door system was used for the pick-up system, and pick-up time is about 40 minutes, and it turned out that the welcome and send-off before and after about five persons is performed per time. It is that, as for the main problems at this investigation to the time of a welcome and send-off, the barrier-free of a residence or city environment is not progressing.

アマランサスは、タンパク質含量の高い作物で、最近ではアレルギー性疾患回避にも効果があると注目されている。アマランサスはヒユ科ヒユ属の総称で、穀実用として注目されているAmaranthus hypochondriacus. A. caudatus, A. cruentusはいずれも中南米起源の作物と考えられている。中南米では、これら3種が紀元前5000〜3000年頃から栽培され、スペイン人が新大陸に上陸した16世紀にはトウモロコシ、インゲンマメとならんで主要な食糧であった。その後19世紀初頭にインド、アフリカに伝えられ、日本にも明治初頭に渡来し、東北地方において救荒作物として利用されていた。今日では、中南米での栽培は少なく、主要な栽培地はインド北部、ネパールとなっている。岡山農試では、水田転作作物探索の一環として1989年からその栽培利用の可能性を検討している。本報告では、1989年における栽培特性の検討結果を紹介する。

都市のヒートアイランド現象の対策として有力視されている屋上や壁面等建物緑化による温熱環境改善効果を定量的に把握することを目的として,実在の街区をモデルとしてCFD(計算流体力学)解析を行い,建物緑化の違いによる街区内での温度と湿度の変化について数値解析を行った。解析の結果,対象街区での緑化なしに比べて,地表面・屋上の緑化と壁面緑化を組み合わせた場合,気温では街区中心部で最大で約4℃の低減,湿度では最大16%の上昇が見られ,実在街区を対象とした建物緑化による温熱環境改善効果の定量的な評価の可能性が示唆された。

Small computers are much in demand for mobile computing. However, keyboard size is an obstacle to further size reduction. Reducing the space occupied by keys would affect the usability of the keyboard. On the other hand, if the keys were closer together, the fingers would reach them faster. This could improve typing performance. An experiment was therefore conducted to investigate the relationship between users' performance and the center-to-center key space of reduced-size keyboards. Eighteen touch-typists were asked to do a word typing task on five different keyboards. A standard keyboard with a key space of 19.05 mm and smaller keyboards with key spaces of 16.7, 16.0, 15.6, and 15.0 mm were used in this study. No performance degradation was found on keyboards with a key space of 16.7 mm for faster typists (those capable of about 40 wpm), including those with large fingers (97.5 percentile of Japanese adult males). For faster typists with narrow fingers, there was no performance degradation on keyboards with a key space of 15.0 mm.

In 1993, the Japan Epilepsy Association criticized Tsutsui Yasutaka's novel "Robot Police" as discriminatory to epileptics, and sought to have it from a textbook published by Kadokawa Publishing. In response to the criticism, he declared a "Writing Strike" and appealed for freedom of expression. This declaration drew public attention, and raised a storm of controversy. The aim of this paper is to explicate the divergence of problem setting in the controversy. First, I will show that the declaration was situated in the context of victim contest. Then, I will demonstrate that the context was prepared through the shift of roles in the early stages of the controversy. Finally, I will present a rhetorical analysis of how the shift of roles occurred in the responsive context of the controversy.

This study is based on the functional similarity of metaphor and media. On the other hand both of them connect the various meaning, and on the other hand both of them also separate the connected meaning. The first purpose of this paper is to analyze the interdependency of these two functions theoretically, and the second purpose is to make the relation between these mechanism and text interpretation clear. Several text about philosophy, thought, literature, aesthetics and criticism is analyzed here. In particular text of German sociologist LUHMANN plays the double (recursive) roles as a theory of analysis and as a target of analysis. This duality seems to be a tautology or a paradox. But it makes the function of media by metaphor and also the metaphor-like function by media possible. Though logical contradiction is included, this relation supports the paradoxical structure by metaphor and media.

This study is a part of the knowledge acquired through research fieldwork at a nursing care facility in Japan. This paper focuses on the practical issues of Indonesian care workers under the EPA scheme from the view points of the candidates and the Japanese language teacher. The purpose of this research is to clarify the present situation of the actual facility where they accept the candidates, and to try to discuss the ways of feasibly supporting candidates and the care site.Foreign care worker candidates under the EPA have been accepted since 2008, and they started On-the Job Training in various parts of Japan. However, this scheme has a lot of issues involving language, the system framework, communication in intercultural care, etc. Although it seems to not be concluded in arguments that relate to many fields, one particularly severe situation involves linguistic issues; acquiring Japanese language and the measures to pass the national examination.One of the findings throughout the fieldwork is the gap between the necessary support for Japanese language learning by candidates and the support given by the Japanese language teacher at the nursing care facility as a step toward the national examination. The analysis in this paper highlights the confusion of candidates who spend a few months at the facility after arriving and the limitation that the Japanese language teacher feels. Based on the views of actual members who are working at the care facility with candidates, this research aims at giving suggestions for practical support to candidates and the care site from the Japanese language teaching site.
