現代日本のみの問題とは言い難いが、男性主導社会と言われて久しい。このことが現代の社会において負の影響を及ぼしているのではないか、このような論調が一般的になりつつあることは否めないであろう。では、その負の影響とは一体何であるのか、そしてそれはどのような経緯において生じたのか、その起因となるものは何なのか、これらを探求すべく我々は、男性らしさとは何か、女性らしさとは何かという「らしさ」について再考しなければならないと思われる。

学術雑誌の電子出版が進展するとともに,電子的な情報交換が必要かつ普遍的になった。ディジタル情報を容易に入手できるようにするためには,対象となるあらゆる情報アイテムを一義的に識別する必要がある。現在,いくつかの情報識別子が提案されている。本稿では,科学技術医学出版社数社が1996年から論文の識別に用いているPublisher Item Identifier (PII) について解説する。

In this paper, the author tries to make clear what problems on teachers exist in technical college.We conducted several surveys: “The evaluation of the technical college system by teachers”, “Investigation on state of personnel changes” and “Analysis of the list of names”.The results of these studies can be summarized as follows:1) There are four groups on career pattern of technical college teachers: a group of college teachers' career, of high school teachers' career, of company employees' career and of the new graduates. Such diversity of career pattern is producing bad rather than good results in technical college. That is, the differences of those career patterns give rise to the split of opinion about educational points of view among technical college teachers.2) The system of interchange of teachers between institutions does not exist, so the proportion of personnel interchanges is only 3.2 per cent on an average in a year. An adequate method that facilitates the interchange of personnel among technical colleges, therefore, must be found out.3) Technical college teachers are carrying out the duties including those performed by high school teachers and even supervision of the dormitory. For that reason, they are put to the condition of overwork.4) Though technical college is categorized under higher education institutions, personnel administration is based on principal-centered system. Therefore, freedom of technical college teachers on the personnel problems is fairly restricted by principal power.5) The level of tecnical college teachers' salary has become lowest in all of the school systems since “The Law to Secure the Talented Person” became effective. Thus, many young teachers are strongly dissatisfied with the salary system in technical college.

We researched 62 gates with the roof truss in the old Satsuma-Han area: Izumi Fumoto, Chiran Fumoto, Iriki Fumoto, Shibushi Fumoto, Takaoka Fumoto, Kanou Fumoto, and Okuchi Fumoto for four years. The roof truss supported the eaves and was not used as an important gate in the historical architecture. But the columns were set in such a way to support the roof truss. Therefore, the roof truss was longer and were made the roof higher. Gates with the roof truss were important in old Satsuma-Han and were built in over six Fumotos, except Izumi-Fumoto. Gates with the roof truss were found in Izumi-Fumoto but without the columns necessary to support the roof. In other Fumoto such gates were also built but were much smaller than those in Chiran Fumoto. Gates with the roof truss were developed with originality and creatively in each Fumoto for 200 years.

歯科医師に推奨すべき健康管理を確立するための基礎的データを収集する目的で,歯科医師の死亡構造の特徴について検討した。対象集団は,1975年から1996年までの22年間に某歯科大学同窓会に所属した男性歯科医師9,026名(死亡者1,550名)であり,SMRを算出して日本人男性と比較を行い,以下の結果を得た。1.観察期間における死因は心疾患(29.8%)が最も多く,次に悪性新生物(27.8%),脳血管疾患(13.6%),肺炎・気管支炎(9.9%)であり,これら死亡割合の合計は全体の80%以上に達した。2.歯科医師の平均死亡年齢は72.8±12.1歳(27〜101歳)であるが,近年になるに従って有意に増加した。3.総死因における歯科医師のSMRは日本人男性よりも有意に低価であった。4.主要死因のSMRについてみると,悪性新生物,および脳血管疾患は歯科医師で有意に低価であった。しかし,心疾患のSMRはいずれの年次においても歯科医師が有意に高値を示した。また,肺炎・気管支炎は歯科医師で有意に低値を示したが,最近4年間と55〜69歳の年齢層では高値を示した。以上から歯科医師は日本人男性よりも良好な健康状態にあることが示唆された。
