Society and state in pre-modern Vietnam were strongly influenced by those of China. Recent research indicates, however, that absolute rule supported by bureaucracy and Confucian ideology like that in the Chinese empire was not established until the 14th century. How, then, did earlier dynasties such as Lý become stabilized and gain control over semi-independent local powers?  The foundation of the Ly dynasty did not put an end to frequent regional rebellions outside the Red River Delta, sometimes involving an alliance with another country. The framework of political integration under this Vietnamese dynasty, in which the central government of the Red River Delta controlled the northern mountains and the southern provinces, was barely established in the latter half of the 11th century. Moreover, the integration of the Red River Delta itself collapsed in a struggle among local powers on the fall of the Lý dynasty.  Under these conditions, the central government could not dismantle the local military powers and construct a military bureaucracy. The submission of local powers, often symbolized by a ceremony of allegiance, was achieved only by means of personal demonstrations of power by the emperor or princes in expeditions or ritual travels to the local powers. Such demonstrations gradually came to be undertaken by persons close to the emperor and by the grand aristocrats.  Ultimately, the stability of the Lý dynasty rested on the military actions of the “mandala overlord” in the Red River Delta and their spread to the aristocracy.

This thesis tries to investigate the origin of the term ‘drstanatika’ (metaph-orist). The result of the study shows that a ‘darstanatika’ has special talent in expressing the Avadana literature and possesses the style of the Yogacara master. A ‘darstanatika’ is also called a bodhisattva.The origin of the term ‘darstanatika’ is closely related to avadana. When a ‘darstanatika’ narrates the avadana, there are two metaphoric effects (namely: aupamya and drstanta). Hence, these narrators are called ‘darstanatika’. Thus, the origin of the name ‘darstanatika’ can be reckoned to be the result of the combination of the characteristics of avadana and aupamya. In addition, the term ‘darstanatika’ does not carry any implication of disdain initially.

岩手県では、鉢物リンドウ品種として栄養繁殖性品種「ももこりん」、「あおこりん」と種子繁殖性品種「いわて乙女」の3品種を育成してきたが、生産者からは更なる品種の拡大が望まれている。岩手県農業研究センターでは1999年から交雑育種による品種育成に取り組み、栄養繁殖性の鉢物リンドウ品種「ももずきんちゃん」を育成した。ここでは、その育成経過や品種特性について報告する。

カルメン・マルティン・ガイテ(Carmen Mart&iacute;n Gaite, 1925-2000)の『マンハッタンの赤ずきんちゃん』(<i>Caperucita en Manhattan</i>, 1900)は幸せを求めるすべての人のための物語である。ペローの童話を下敷きに、舞台をマンハッタンに移し、親しみのある人物を取り揃えた現代版『赤ずきんちゃん』である。本稿では童話について概観し、次に当作品の人物について分析する。ガイテの行った改作について考察しながら作品のメッセージを明らかにする。読者は、苦難を克服し夢を叶える喜びに向かって進む主人公に共感する一方で、様々な文学的価値や感慨深い史実、心に響く音楽や映画の一端に触れ、知的好奇心を満たすことになるだろう。ガイテは本来の童話の効果を部分的に継承しつつも批判精神と自由の意思を持ってその限界に挑み、結果として、童話とも小説ともとれる独特な物語を誕生させたと結論づけられる。

気功と催眠の違いを検討すべく、それぞれ施術者、受け手の脳波同時測定を行なった。気功法実施中、気功師の前頭部には後頭部のα波と同期したα波の出現が見られた。即ち、後頭-前頭間におけるα波出現位相のずれ(τm)を計測すると、安静時よりずれ時間が小さくなる。この現象は気を受けた一般人にも見られた。また、気功師が特異なβ波パターンを示す時、受け手にも似たパターンが現れた。暗示による効果を極力除いた二重盲検法を導入しての実験でも、受け手のτm値は気功師同様小さくなった。両者の脳波の同調的現象から、何らかの信号が受け手に伝わっている可能性が示唆された。一方、充分にラポール(精神的意志疎通関係)のとれた相手に言語を用いず、かつ閉眼による催眠誘導を行なったところ、外見的には気功と類似の動きも見られたが、β帯域に同調的パターンは見られなかった。α波は催眠中、施術者、受け手とも前頭部にも多少現れわ、τm値は、両者ともに安静時より小さくなる傾向が見られた。しかし気功ほど顕著ではなく、暗算等課題集中時に見られる位相同期の範囲を超えないことから施術者に直接同調しての現象とは言い難かった。催眠では非言語誘導であっても、受け手は常時施術者から受けている誘導言語を自身のうちで反趨し、自ら催眠に入っているものと思われた。

私は地域包括支援センターで保健師として働く傍ら、東京都杉並区にある老舗銭湯「小杉湯」にも看護師としての力を活かして関わっています。そこでは「小杉湯×医療」という小杉湯スタッフと医療関係者との交流や学び合いの場を開催したり、近隣住民向けのイベントのサポートをしながら来場者とコミュニケーションを取ったりしています。 このように書くと「なぜ銭湯で?」と疑問に思うかもしれません。しかしこれらを行う目的は、本業である地域包括支援センターの活動と重なるものです。本稿では、私が本業の枠を越えて「街の銭湯」に関わる理由をお伝えできたらと思います。

In the evaluation of the druggability of candidate compounds, it was vital to predict the oral bioavailability of compounds from apparent permeability (Papp) across Caco-2 cell-culture model of intestinal epithelium cultured on commercial transwell plate inserts. The study was to investigate the transport characteristics and permeability of FL118 (10, 11-Methylenedioxy-20(S)-camptothecin) derivatives 7-Q6 (7-(4-Ethylphenyl)-10, 11-methylenedioxy-20(S)-camptothecin) and 7-Q20 (7-(4-Trifluoromethylphenyl)-10, 11-methylenedioxy-20(S)-camptothecin). Transport characteristics and permeability of the tested compounds to the small intestine were assessed at different concentrations (0.5, 1 µM) via Caco-2 cell monolayers model in vitro. Uptake studies based on Caco-2 cells, including temperatures, concentrations, and the influence of efflux transporters, were combined to confirm the transport characteristics of the tested compounds. Furthermore, cytotoxicity results showed that the concentrations used in the experiments were non-toxic and harmless to cells. In addition, The Papp of 7-Q6 was (3.69 ± 1.07) × 10−6 cm/s with efflux ratio (ER) 0.98, while the Papp of 7-Q20 was (7.78 ± 0.89) × 10−6 cm/s with ER 1.05 for apical-to-basolateral (AP→BL) at 0.5 µM, suggesting that 7-Q20 might possess higher oral bioavailability in vivo. Furthermore, P-glycoprotein (P-gp) was proved to slightly affect the accumulations of 7-Q20, while the absorption of 7-Q6 was irrelevant with P-gp and breast cancer resistant protein (BCRP) based on the cellular uptake assays. Accordingly, 7-Q6 was completely absorbed by passive diffusion, and 7-Q20 was mainly dependent on passive diffusion with being effluxed by P-gp slightly. Meanwhile, both 7-Q6 and 7-Q20 were potential antitumor drugs that might exhibit high oral bioavailability in the body.
