岐阜県加茂郡七宗町上麻生の飛騨川沿いに露出するチャート, 珪質頁岩および砂岩・頁岩からなる三畳・ジュラ系を調査し, 岩相層序学的に, また, 生層序学的に検討した。このうち, 珪質頁岩にはUnuma echinatus群集とDictyomitrella (?) kamoensis-Pantanellium foveatum群集の2放散虫群集が認められる。筆者らは, 後者を代表する特徴種を選び, 4種の放散虫(うち3種は新種)を記載した。このうちDictyomitrella (?) kamoensis n. sp.とPantanellium foveatum n. sp.は代表種であり, 日本の各地にも広く産出する。Pachyoncus kamiasoensis n. sp.は上記の2種と共存するが, 他の地域ではまだ報告されていない。このDictyomitrella (?) kamoensis-Pantanellium foveatum群集に含まれるRistola (?) turpiculaは, 北米オレゴン州のSnowshoe層(Bathonian上部)より産することが知られている。

Recently, the design of Northern Europe, or the Scandinavian design has come to be accepted by consumers in Japan rapidly. To analyze the reason, I visited three countries - Norway, Sweden, Finland -in Northern Europe on a business trip in August 2012. I visited 4 typical fashion apparel companies in each country. Then I made a market research (Oversea trip organized by Japan Association of Specialists in Textile and Apparel). I examined them. I also examined TV programs of northern Europe which were broadcasted then. From them, I found that the features of Scandinavian design are linear, no decorative and simple. This kind of design is rare in Japan, so that it is very attractive to Japanese consumers and it has been accepted by this.

社会言語学 本研究では、母方言・移住先方言・標準語の三つのスタイルの間のスタイルシフトの実態を探ることを目的とする。現在静岡県浜松市に居住する、移住経験のある一人のインフォーマントKを対象に、親しい人物との談話を収録・分析し、言語項目ごとの切換えの状況を手がかりに、Kのスタイルシフトの実態を明らかにした。具体的には、本研究で用いる用語の定義と、スタイルシフトに関する先行研究について整理したあと、Kの言語使用意識の調査結果と実態調査の概要をまとめた。続いて、言語項目ごとの切換えの状況から、スタイルシフトの実態とその要因について分析した。その結果、Kは基本的に相手の使用する形式に合わせて自分の使用する形式を切換えていることがわかった。一方で、浜松方言を話すべきというわきまえが同時に働き、相手があまり使わない形式をKが使用することがあることなども指摘した。最後に、Kの言語使用意識と実態を照らし合わせ、各スタイルがKの頭の中にどのようにストックされているかについて考察し、モデル化した。

近年、アーユルヴェーダは世界的な医療となりつつある。南アジア地域固有の医療実践であったアーユルヴェーダは、今日では世界各地に拡大し、それぞれの地域で新たな解釈が加えられ実践されている。インドにおいてもアーユルヴェーダがグローバル化した影響は大きい。多くの患者が海外からインドに訪れるようになり、南インド・ケーララ州では、このような患者のための滞在施設が乱立し、アーユルヴェーダは一大産業となりつつある。世界とのかかわりのなかで、インドのアーユルヴェーダ実践は変容し再構成されているのである。しかし、アーユルヴェーダがグローバルな産業として発展している現状について、インド現地のアーユルヴェーダ関係者の不安もある。海外でアーユルヴェーダが医療ではなく「癒し」術として広がり、その一方でアーユルヴェーダの生薬や治療法にたいしては先進国の企業によって特許が取られていく。このような状況は、インドのアーユルヴェーダ医師や製薬関係者の海外進出を阻み、アーユルヴェーダを彼らの関与できない方向へと転換している。こうした状況のなかで、アーユルヴェーダの知識・技術に関する権利を国家的に保護し、インド主導で医療・産業としての可能性を世界規模で広げていくために、近年ではこれらの知的財産・技術をインドの「ナショナルな資源」として位置づける動きが生まれつつある。

<p>Non-human animals commonly perform mutual communication in which two individuals simultaneously exchange information in an interaction that can comprise multiple components and multimodal signals. The forms of mutual communication vary widely, ranging from simple greeting ceremonies to complex paired dances including ultiple behavioural elements. Our understanding of mutual communication lags markedly because few systematic studies have examined this topic. In this review, we used the example of paired dances in red-crowned cranes (<i>Grus japonensis</i>) to examine two important aspects of mutual communication: structure and function. We reviewed the difficulty analysing the key characteristics of structure quantitatively (e.g. sequential pattern and complexity), and examined suitable analytic methods such as etermining the four levels of its characteristics. We proposed that a combination of current methods and new methods, such as the Shannon entropy index and temporal associations among behavioural elements, is necessary to quantify the complexity of mutual communication. Regarding the function of paired dances, we critically discuss the pair bond hypothesis, which suggests that a paired dance strengthens pair bonds in monogamous, long-living birds. Testing this classical hypothesis remains a challenge due to the difficulty of performing quantitative analyses of paired dances and the ambiguous concept of pair bonds. We hope that the questions and predictions raised in this paper will encourage future research on mutual communication in non-human animals.</p>

It is thought that at least 6,500 low-molecular-weight metabolites exist in humans, and these metabolites have various important roles in biological systems in addition to proteins and genes. Comprehensive assessment of endogenous metabolites is called metabolomics, and recent advances in this field have enabled us to understand the critical role of previously unknown metabolites or metabolic pathways in the cardiovascular system. In this review, we will focus on heart failure and how metabolomic analysis has contributed to improving our understanding of the pathogenesis of this critical condition.
