This paper investigates so-called “Design Assistance (sekkei kyoryoku)” by Japanese subcontractors. The tasks and responsibilities of subcontractors in Design Assistance, the information generated through Design Assistance, and the difference between Design Assistance in Japan and Consultation in US are focused. Our previous paper pointed out that Japanese design organizations tend to utilize Design Assistance by the subcontractors, whereas US design organizations are more likely to distribute design tasks among specialized consultants. In this paper, the elevator industry is focused as the typical industry indicating the clear difference of the task distribution between Japanese Design Assistance and the US Consultation. In Japan, elevator companies are regarded as subcontractors as they provide design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance services. They offer the product design information and analysis for free. It is called Design Assistance, as they hope to be specified and installed in future construction. In the US, by contrast, Vertical Transportation Consultants provide design service to the architects especially for customized elevators. In Japanese cases, five major elevator companies are selected. Thirteen people are interviewed. In the US cases, twenty-five Vertical Transportation Consultants were approached, and five of them responded to the inquiry (Table4). First, the tasks and responsibilities of subcontractors in Design Assistance are clarified. We confirmed the subcontractors provide the design information based on the Design Assistance free of charge. The subcontractors do not have a primal responsibility of their design information, especially to the owner of the project. It results in a confusion of responsibilities between the architect and the subcontractor. Second, two types of the information gathering process through the Design Assistance is confirmed. One is the information generated by the subcontractor and provided to the architect, such as drawings, specifications, analysis, cost estimation, and presentation images (Table1). The other is the information provided from the architect to the subcontractor. The Design Assistance is one of the best opportunities for subcontractors to acquire “needs” of the owners, which is typically not obtained by the sales department of subcontractors. It is utilized for the development of new products. Third, the difference between Design Assistance in Japan and Consultation in US are focused. In this paper, the basic services of the consultants were investigated, through the website of the consultants on the list of International Association of Elevator Consultants (IAEC). In US, an assessment and inspection oriented service, such as Maintenance Review, Assessment, Litigation and Inspection, and project management service for elevator installation are available (Table3). There are far more significant opportunities in modernization than new construction. The elevator manufacturers and the vertical transportation consultants are separate entities, which make smooth information exchange difficult compared to the Japanese environment (Fig. 4).

Construction is complicated artificial action. The paper proposes the methodology to describe elements of construction. "Architecture" is one of the ways to analyze artificial actions, and the general concept of "Architecture" is the composition of system that is based on the pattern of relationship between elements. Primary meaning of "Architecture" was building and construction, because they are composed of many complicated elements. Then, this logic has been advanced in many fields such as computer industry, automobile industry and so on. It has great possibility to find brand new order of construction to study with advanced logic of "Architecture." The paper categorized the ways of description of system with "Architecture" concept, and demonstrated of description of construction aspects, then analyzed the possibility of description of construction as an artificial system.

15 crosses were used to study on the inheritance of kernel texture in wheat varieties which affects mealy and glassy of kernels and results were shown in table 1 and figure 1. From these results, the inheritance of kernel texture was proved to be influenced by factors in the generation of F<SUB>2</SUB> seed. The method of testing of kernel texture may be described as follows : After harvested, each kernel of parents and F<SUB>2</SUB> Seed was cut off middle part of kernel (cross section) by razer blade on the glass plate, and cross section of kernel was magnifyed by the magnifying glass (2. 5 fold) and selection which was made after a thorough comparison can be classified as follows. Glassy kernel (G) decided to select completely glassy, semi-glassy kernel (g) was selected almost parts (over 80%) of cross section were occupied by glassy, semi-mealy kernel (m) are occupied by mealy over 80% and mealy kernei (M) completely mealy. Segregation ratios was compared with glassy (contained G and g) and mealy (contained M and m). The results of segcrregation ratios to lernel texture of F<SUB>2</SUB> Seed generation, the factor hypothes and factor analysis were applied in this report as mentioned above. Results obtained may be summerized as follows.

HVAC system simulation programs in Japan looks having ceased its development due to unhappy bubble economy boost followed by its collapse during the late 1980s to 1990s. In this period international environment in this area was far different from Japan. The TRNSYS, HVACSIM+, DOE2, BLAST and then EnergyPlus have been constantly upgraded to meet the world needs for HVAC application and high-technological developments, in contrast to the Japanese state as represented by popular application of distributed packaged unit system. The present paper overviews the state of the art in HVAC simulation technology in Japan compared with international activity and gives alarms to Japanese HVAC engineers as well as those people who are responsible for policy making on energy, environment, science and technology and engineering philosophy.

In this technical report, the author describes the Factory Automatization for PC Panel Production, the Panel of which is used for middle-rise apartment. The CAM data for automatic machine operation in the factory are processed from CAD data and supplied to the machine through the computer network. The flow of the materials and the products in process is rearranged and systematic production is realized. This is the case sample of CIM for the housing components production.

Building production has been studied so far mainly from the standpoints of building designers and constructors, not from the standpoint of the building material manufactures. However, the utilization ratio of industrialized building materials has drastically increased and thus the role of the building material manufactures in building production has become more significant, especially in steel structures. This study looks at building production from the standpoint of a steel manufacture. We present the hierarchy of a building and cases where steel structure supply systems correspond to the hierarchy. We studied the feasibility of each of these cases by conferring with professors, designers, constructors, steel fabricators and steel manufactures.

【目的】本研究は,地域の小学校区を介入地域と比較地域に割り付け,小学生の母親を対象に食事と運動の健康教育を実施し,介入の効果を評価することを目的とした。【方法】介入群に対しては12週間に食事指導,運動指導,グループワークを中心とした8回の健康教室を実施し,両群ともに教育前と9週間後に身体計測,体力測定,血液検査,食習慣,食品摂取頻度,運動習慣などの自記式アンケートを行った。22名(24.7%)の脱落者を除外した67名の参加者を解析対象とした(介入群32名,平均年齢±標準偏差(SD):39.6±3.8歳;比較群35名,平均年齢±SD:38.3±3.5歳)。【結果】ベースラインでは,介入群と比較群において30秒間椅子立ち上がり回数を除いて,身体特性や生活習慣に差はみられなかった。介入群では比較群と比べて,運動頻度(p=0.002),果物摂取頻度(p=0.002),野菜料理摂取頻度(p=0.002)が有意に増加した。体力テストにおいて30秒間椅子立ち上がり回数が有意に上昇した。【結論】地域における小学生の母親を対象とした健康教育が食習慣と運動習慣の改善に有効である可能性が示唆された。

土木工学分野における三次元プロダクトモデルの利用は,国土交通省が開始したCIM(Construction Information Modeling)により普及が開始された.CIMでは,計画・調査・設計・積算・施工・維持管理の各分野に渡ってCIMを利用することを目指しているが,その利用方法は開始されたばかりであり関連する研究はほとんど行われていない.CIMにおける三次元プロダクトモデルを設計・積算・施工と連携して利用することによりミスの低減,生産性向上,効率化・品質の向上などに繋がることが期待されている.本研究では,道路橋の下部工を対象に,詳細設計で作成したCIMの三次元プロダクトモデルを発注者側での積算に活用する際の手法を検討し,CIMによる建設生産性の向上を行うためにどのようなことが必要であるかを検討した.

本稿は,河川事業のうち築堤事業の設計の過程においてCIM(Construction Information Modeling)を適用した結果を報告するとともに,その結果で得られた知見を踏まえ,築堤事業の設計におけるCIMの適用について述べるものである. CIMを設計において試行した結果,CIMの適用によりこれまでであれば顕在化しにくかった図面間の不整合の発見に寄与することや,関係機関との協議や地元関係者への説明に有用な手段となる可能性が示された.一方,CIMを適用した設計においては,相当な業務量を要するところもあった.試行の結果や現状(通常)の築堤事業におけるリスクを踏まえつつ,CIMを適用する場合のプロセス,予備設計・詳細設計それぞれの実施事項を提案し,CIMを設計に適用することにより期待される効果を述べる.

症例は73歳の女性. 陳旧性心筋梗塞後の心室頻拍に対しアミオダロン200mg/日が投与されていた. 外来にてジゴキシン0.125mg/日を追加投与したところ, めまい, 食欲低下が出現し2週間後に再診した. 心電図所見などよりジギタリス中毒と診断され入院した. 入院時血中ジゴキシン濃度は2.56ng/mlと高値を示し, ジゴキシンの内服を中止した18日後でも0.60ng/mlであった. この間の半減期(167時間)は, 入院後のクレアチニン値, 体重, 年齢および性別から治療薬剤モニタリングシステムを用いて推測された半減期(95時間)より延長しておりジゴキシンとアミオダロンの相互作用によるものと考えられた. この値より計算した適正投与量は0.07mg/dayであった. 両薬剤を併用する場合にはジギタリス中毒の出現に細心の注意を払うべきであり, 投与量の設定には治療薬剤モニタリングシステムの活用が一助となる。

我が国の建設事業においては,CALS/ECや情報化施工,生産性向上のために3次元データを利用する環境を構築することは重要な課題であるが,その要求を満たす3次元CADが存在しない.そのため,国産の3次元CADの開発を支援することを目的とした,汎用3次元CADエンジンの開発が求められている. そこで本研究では,建設事業において3次元CADを迅速かつ低コストに導入し,これを活用できる環境を構築するために,汎用3次元CADエンジンを設計するための調査研究を行った.ここでは,3次元CADの利用場面,標準化動向,汎用3次元CADエンジンに付随するシーズ,既存製品,IT要素技術について調査し,汎用3次元CADエンジンに対する要求を明らかにした.

The interior finish work of apartment building does not progress on schedule in Japan though the apartment construction does. Japanese general constructors have challenged to this issue since the 1970s, but there is no example established as a standard method for interior finish work management.We investigated the process of the interior finish work and analyzed the obtained data, which revealed that the problems were in the relation of product structure, scheduling and work assignment.

Today, there are some problems in construction projects, for example, insufficient communication between designers and constructers, confusion about roles and responsibilities, and so on. On the other hand, in these days, designers and constructers had close communication and realized high quality buildings in many projects. This study aims to show a decision making process of design contents in such projects. As a typical one, this study deals with Tokyo Metropolitan Art museum designed by Mayekawa Associates, Architects & Engineers, based on interviews to parties and examinations of drawings and specifications and shop drawings.
