肺癌診療においてFDG-PET検査の有用性は知られているが,偽陽性,偽陰性症例も少なからず認められる.我々は,2005年7月~2007年6月までの2年間で良悪性診断または病期診断の目的でPET検査を行い,最終的に当施設で手術を施行した283症例を対象として,その有用性と問題点について検討した.内訳は男:女=156:127,平均年齢は66.3歳であった.良悪性診断の感度72.7%,特異度60.5%で,腫瘍径20mm以下のものでは偽陰性が多かった.組織型では肺胞上皮癌の成分を多く含む高分化腺癌や粘液の多い病変は多くの場合PET陰性であった.その一方で細胞密度の高い扁平上皮癌などは高感度に検出された.リンパ節転移診断は感度68.0%,特異度93.2%で特異度は高いものの偽陰性が多く,過小評価をする可能性があった.PET検査の有する長所,短所を十分理解し,臨床的に活用していく必要がある.特に腺癌では原発病巣が偽陰性を呈することが多く,CT診断と併せて手術適応を決定すべきである.

The objective of this paper is to clarify the relationship between Ethical Guidelines for Teachers (hereafter, Ethical Guidelines) and Explanatory Notes on Ethical Guidelines (hereinafter, Explanatory Notes). Specifically, the paper examines (1) by whom, (2) when, (3) why, and (4) through what process these documents were created. As a document setting forth basic guidelines for teacher disposition and behavior, Ethical Guidelines was formulated and adopted through a formal procedure by the JTU. In July of 1951, the draft version of Ethical Guidelines, written by a number of well-known pedagogists and philosophers, was submitted to the JTU Central Executive Committee, where it was accepted as a “draft document.” Thereafter, the Ethical Guidelines “draft document” was officially adopted at the regular JTU general assembly held in June of 1952, attended by representatives of the member unions.In contrast, Explanatory Notes was created and published without having gone through the formal approval process within the JTU. Explanatory Notes was independently prepared by the Information and Public Relations section of the JTU and published in September of 1951 as an informational pamphlet. The contents of the pamphlet were neither approved by the Central Executive Committee nor discussed at a regular general assembly. Thus, Explanatory Notes, is merely an unofficial document.Ethical Guidelines sets forth abstract principles for teacher behavior and is written using moderate expressions from beginning to end. The Explanatory Notes, on the other hand, contains passages written in a militant style that evokes images of Marxist class struggle. For this reason, since the mid-1950s, right-wing polemicists as well as conservative government officials and politicians who disagree ideologically with the JTU have criticized the Ethical Guidelines by shining a spotlight on the Explanatory Notes.However, as demonstrated by this paper, Ethical Guidelines and Explanatory Notes are completely unrelated documents, both in terms of how they were created and how they were approved (or not approved) by the JTU.

本研究は,関係的組織能力という考え方を中心にすえ,多角化分野で競争優位を構築したプロセスについて明らかにするものである.自動車用ばねからHDD用サスペンションへと多角化し,突出した成功例となった日本発条の事例を取り上げ,そのプロセスをやや長期に渡って分析した.その結果,既存事業で培ってきた組織能力をベースにしながら,進出先分野における特定企業との多段階の相互作用が,当該分野で必要とされる関係的組織能力の発展段階的な形成に大きな意味をもつことを明らかにした.

「探索」と「活用」のバランスを考察するために,携帯電話端末のプラットフォーム・モデルと派生モデルの開発を題材に分析を実施した.プラットフォーム・モデル,派生モデルの双方で競合組織を上回る開発効率が実現されている組織が存在し,これらの組織ではプラットフォームに付随するリスクが適確に管理されていることが示された.「探索」と「活用」のバランスの観点から,プラットフォーム戦略に関する示唆が得られた.

近年の日本企業で普及しつつある社員格付原理としての役割主義について理論的に定式化し,その機能要件を明らかにした.統計的分析の結果によると,能力主義と職務主義の性質を併せ持つ役割主義が業績に負の影響を与える傾向は,人事権が人事部に集中するほど弱くなる.また,対正規従業員比でスタッフ数が少ない,少数精鋭的でありうる人事部ほど,「役割主義×人事部集権」の機能性の向上に貢献できることが示された.

本研究の目的は,同じ職能部門内のメンバー間におけるコンフリクトが他の職能部門のメンバーとのコミュニケーションに影響を与えるコンフリクトのトランスファー現象を定量的に検証することである.既存のコンフリクト研究では,この関係が十分議論されなかったが,本研究では,職能部門内メンバー間の資源や役割の配分に関するプロセスコンフリクトが他の職能部門メンバーとのコミュニケーションを促進することが明らかになった.

本研究は,日産自動車株式会社における研究開発拠点の分離と集約を事例に,物理的近接性(コロケーション)の逆機能が発生するメカニズムついて考察するものである.考察の結果として,「物理的な近接性がある場合,部門間パワーの格差があればあるほど,また,部門間に信頼がないほど,コロケーションによる部門間の連携よりも,パワー優位部門の業務が優先されてしまうコロケーションの逆機能」が発生する論理を提示する.

“香り”は食品や飲料のおいしさを決定づける大きな要素である.そのためビールの香りに関する多くの研究が進められ,さまざまな特徴に寄与する香気成分が明らかにされてきた.これまでビールの香りの研究においては,その特徴への「寄与度が高い」香気成分に着目されてきた.一方で,ビール中で大多数を占める寄与度が小さい香気成分群の役割については,ほとんど考察されてこなかった.本解説では,ビール香味への香気成分の寄与について,これまでの報告から紹介するとともに,一方で,寄与度が小さい大多数の香気成分群の寄与について,筆者らが得た知見をもとに紹介する.

自らが競争する領域(ドメイン)を決めることは経営戦略の重要な構成要素である.これまで様々な研究者がドメインの領域あるいは範囲を問題としてきたのに対して,本稿ではドメインが階層性をもち,たとえ同じ領域を選んだとしてもその階層性に対する認識は組織間で異なることを主張する.この分析視角の有効性を示すために,ここでは液晶テレビ分野におけるシャープとサムスン電子のドメインの階層性を比較分析する.

人々にとってカラスとスズメは身近な鳥であり,日常生活の中でさまざま関わりを持っている.そういった関わりの結果,人々は,これらの鳥に好悪を含めた何らかの印象を持っており,また経年的に変化していると考えられる.しかし,定量的には調べられていなかった.そこで本研究では,新聞記事がこれらの鳥に対する人々の印象を反映しているという前提に立ち,人々のこれらの鳥に対する印象と,その経年的な変化を明らかにすることを目的とした.朝日新聞のオンライン・データベース「聞蔵Ⅱビジュアル」を使用して「カラス」および「スズメ」に関する新聞記事を検索し,どれくらい記事になっているか,またどのような印象で記事が書かれているか,それは経年変化しているかを調べた.その結果,1990年以降,「カラス」と「スズメ」に関する記事は,総記事数に対し,それぞれ0.08%前後,0.04%前後の割合で記事になっていることがわかった.カラスに対しては,否定的な印象で書かれている記事が多く,スズメは逆に肯定的な印象で書かれている記事が多かった.この傾向は,2000–2001年と2015–2016年の間で比較すると,強まっていることが明らかになった.

近年,二国間投資保護協定と投資仲裁が普及したことで,投資保護に関する国際的なルールや紛争処理手続が整備され,外国投資リスクが大幅に低減した.しかも,仲裁では,国家の制御を離れた自律的な法の発展が進行している.しかし,公益的な規制権限の侵食への懸念から,国家の側は様々な手段で仲裁の法解釈に対するコントロールの回復を試みており,投資保護ルールにおける公私の利益のバランス確保が今後の重要な課題となる.

本稿の目的は,多様な技術基盤を持たない企業が,いかにしてより広い技術基盤を持つ多角化企業と類似の研究開発成果を持続的に生み出しうるのかを明らかにすることである.セラミックコンデンサ業界を事例に特許情報の分析を行った結果,多角化企業のように集団としての技術的多様性を持つことが難しい,事業範囲の狭い企業においても,個々の技術者が関与する技術分野の幅を広げ,個人として多様性を保持できる可能性が示される.

Objectives: The aim of the current study was to identify a cut-off value for predicting walking independence at discharge in older adults with hip fracture based on their Berg Balance Scale (BBS) score at admission to a convalescent rehabilitation ward.Methods: This was a retrospective, multicenter, observational study of 187 older adults with hip fractures (mean age 83.7, range 66–97 years). Data was collected on the patients’ age, sex, treatment, and physical function evaluation. An ordinal logistic regression analysis was used to identify predictors associated with the degree of independence in walking at discharge. Receiver operating characteristic curves were used to estimate cut-off values to predict independent and supervised walking at discharge based on the BBS score at admission. The accuracy of the classification was assessed using the area under the curve (AUC).Results: The BBS score at admission was a significant factor predicting the degree of walking independence at discharge (odds ratio = 1.09, 95%CI: 1.06–1.11). The cut-off values of the BBS score at admission for predicting independent walking and supervised walking at discharge were 28 points (AUC = 0.76, 95%CI: 0.69–0.83) and 21 points (AUC = 0.84, 95%CI: 0.77–0.91), respectively.Conclusions: The BBS scores of older adults with hip fracture on admission to a rehabilitation ward are useful for predicting the degree of independence in walking at discharge and can help to structure therapy according to the predicted degree of independence.

早産児をはじめとするNICU退院児のより良い神経発達のために,ファミリーセンタードケアの重要性が明らかになってきている.当院では,ファミリーセンタードケアの一環として,新病院開設に伴い,家族がより快適にNICUで過ごせるようOBD型NICUから半個室/個室型NICUへ改築を行った.病棟の変化がスタッフ,患児と家族に及ぼす影響を調査する一環として,病棟移転前後にNICUで勤務していたスタッフおよび,同時期に入院していた患児の両親に対して,アンケート調査を行った.スタッフ・両親ともに,家族が個室化により快適に過ごせるようになったという意見が多く,個室の広さや壁の高さが高くなったことにより全体的な満足度は上昇していた.一方,スタッフからは安全面を懸念する声も多くみられたため,病棟運営上注意が必要な点もあると考えられた.

インクジェットプリンティングにおけるインクの浸透は画質ならびに乾燥効率に関与することから,浸透挙動の把握は重要である.本研究では,コート層の構造 (コート層の有無と層数と厚さ) による液滴の浸透挙動の解明を目的として,コート層のない紙1種とコート層のある紙3種に対して,X線CT (computed tomography) による非破壊浸透域計測,SEM (scanning electron microscope) 断面観察による紙構造計測,浸透の準2次元数値解析を実施した.臭化カリウムを溶質とする水性インクを用いることで,液滴の浸透域のX線CT測定を可能とし,得られた液滴浸透域と断面SEMにより計測された紙構造を比較した.その結果,コート層の有無,コート層の層数・空隙径・厚さが浸透に影響することが明らかとなり,特にコート層が2層構造をなす場合,表側コート層にのみ液滴が浸透することが明らかとなった.また数値解析の結果,この表側コート層への浸透は,表側コート層の細孔径が裏側コート層の細孔径よりも小さいことが原因であることが示された.

Three-dimensional large scale magnetohydrodynamic, two-phase flow, and electrochemical reaction coupling numerical simulations of alkaline water electrolysis with magnetic field were conducted to elucidate the bubble-bubble interaction and the influence of that on the overpotential. Numerical results shown that the magnetic field enhances the coalesce of bubbles and the bubble size was increased with the increase in the magnetic flux density. Moreover, the magnetic field suppressed the cell overpotential by suppressing the anode overpotential and ohmic overpotential. This is because, KOH concentration around the anode is increased by mixing of the electrolyte, and the reduction of the shielding effect by coalescing of the bubbles.

Vitamin D (VD) plays an important role in infectious and autoimmune diseases. We investigated the association between serum VD levels and active human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infections in pediatric systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. From January 2015 to June 2021, one hundred and twenty children diagnosed with SLE and 100 healthy children were enrolled. Using ELISA, serum 25(OH)D levels were detected. Serum anti-HCMV IgM antibodies were measured by a chemiluminescence immunoassay. Comparisons of 25(OH)D levels between SLE patients and healthy children were performed, as well as subgroups of SLE patients with or without active HCMV infections. Serum 25(OH)D levels of SLE patients were significantly lower than those of healthy children (35.3 ± 12.9 vs 49.3 ± 15.3, P < 0.001). VD deficiency ratio was higher in SLE patients (89.2%) than that in healthy children (52.0%). Serum 25(OH)D levels in the positive anti-HCMV IgM group were significantly lower than those of the negative anti-HCMV IgM group (30.6 ± 12.3 vs 38.2 ± 12.5, P < 0.001). The severe VD deficiency ratio was significantly higher in HCMV-IgM(+)-SLE patients (42.2%) than that in HCMV-IgM(-)-SLE patients (13.3%). This study suggested that serum VD level is associated with active HCMV infections in pediatric SLE patients.
