The disability movement has struggled hard to gain acceptance for the 'big idea' that disability can be considered as a form of institutional discrimination or social oppression. As these 'social model' have gained political currency so they have engendered a profound reexamination of British social policy. Disability movements has been emphasized rights of disabled people, futhermore, they has been proposed that self-assessment and self-management in human services. Disability movements promoted a sustained campaign for direct payments legislation. Community Care (Direct Payments) Bill was published in November 1995. The legislation came into force the following year, permitting local authorities to make direct payments to people assessed as needing community care services. Consumerism formed the major basis of this new legislation. But Important value conflicts were apparent in discussion about direct payments in disability mevement. The purpose of this paper is to consider the relationship between consumerism and disabled people's sovereignty of their lives from the discussion in disability mevement.

緑茶品種'さやまかおり'は茶の重要害虫であるカンザワハダニ, クワシロカイガラムシに対して抵抗性を持ち, かつ寒害, 霜害にも強く緑茶育種の抵抗性育種素材として極めて重要な存在である.'さやまかおり'は埼玉県茶業試験場において, 静岡県茶業試験場より取り寄せた茶品種'やぶきた'の1947年産自然交雑種子中より選抜されている.'さやまかおり'は極端な立葉, 際立って濃い葉色, 特徴的な鋸歯等々, 一般的な日本在来のチャにはほとんど見られない特徴的な形態形質を有している.これらはその後代の形態形質に大きな影響を与えることが再確認され, 優性効果の大きな遺伝子に支配されていることが推定された.従って'やぶきた'がそのような形質を有していない以上, 'さやまかおり'の花粉親に必須の条件と考えられた.これらの特徴的な形態形質を指標に静岡県茶業試験場内より'さやまかおり'の花粉親としての可能性が多少なりとも疑われる栄養系を全てピックアップした.選ばれた78栄養系はいずれも海外, 特にそのほとんどが中国からの導入系統であり, 日本在来のチャは含まれなかった.これらを'さやまかおり'の花粉親候補とし, 'やぶきた'および'さやまかおり'を用いてDNAマーカーによる親子鑑定を行った.その結果, 'さやまかおり'の花粉親として合致するものはなく, 'さやまかおり'の花粉親はすでに現存しない可能性が高いと判断された.

本研究では、スポーツ選手の競技引退後の適応過程について、スポーツ心理学ならびにスポーツ社会学の両面から検討を行った。以下に主な結果を記す。1)スポーツ心理学領域の先行研究を概観し、競技引退を理解していく上でアイデンティティ再体制化といった視点が有効となることを明らかにした。2)スポーツ社会学領域からの研究概観では、引退競技者を取り巻いてきた社会構造的な要因についてライフヒストリーの中から詳細に検討すべきであることを主張した。3)わが国のプロサッカー選手のキャリア移行について調査が行われ、種々の側面からの実態を明らかにした。4)中年期危機を体験した2人の元オリンピック選手の競技引退後のアイデンティティ再体制化について面接調査を行った。「社会化予期」「時問的展望」といった2つの要因が引退後の適応過程を強く規定していることが考えられた。5)5名の元韓国代表選手への面接調査を行い、彼らのライフヒストリーを検討した。引退後の初期は、周囲からそれまでの競技キャリアを高く評価されても、時間とともに評価が低下していくことが一様に認められた。6)現役時代から引退後の再適応を果たすまでの間心理サポートを行った1人の元オリンピック選手の200セッションに及ぶ相談記録を分析した。再適応あるいはアイデンティティの再体制化に向けて積極的に歩みだすためには、引退に伴う内的作業の持つ重要性(喪の仕事、生き直す)が指摘された。今後の課題として、国際比較研究そして両領域からの研究成果の統合などが考えられた。

In this paper, we propose a modified-error adaptive feedback active noise control (ANC) system using a linear prediction filter. The proposed ANC system is advantageous in terms of the rate of convergence, while maintaining stability, because it can reduce narrowband noise while suppressing disturbance, including wideband components. The estimation accuracy of the noise control filter in the conventional system is degraded because the disturbance corrupts the input signal to the noise control filter. A solution of this problem is to utilize a linear prediction filter. The linear prediction filter is utilized for the modified-error feedback ANC system to suppress the wideband disturbance because the linear prediction filter can separate narrowband and wideband noise. Suppressing wideband noise is important for the head-mounted ANC system we have already proposed for reducing the noise from a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device because the error microphones are located near the user's ears and the user's voice consequently corrupts the input signal to the noise control filter. Some simulation and experimental results obtained using a digital signal processor (DSP) demonstrate that the proposed feedback ANC system is superior to a conventional feedback ANC system in terms of the estimation accuracy and the rate of convergence of the noise control filter.

法的アブダクションでは、仮説選択による説明だけでは結論の正当化には不十分であり、当該仮説をなぜ選択するのかという説明が重要であり、その仮説選択を正当化してはじめて結論が正当化できる。仮説選択の正当化のためには、さらにアブダクションを行う必要がるので、教師が適切にガイドしなければならない。すなわち、IRACにおけるA(あてはめ)の場面において、更にアブダクションが必要になるので、選択仮説を正当化するように学生の思考を導く必要がある。その結果、学生の条文や判決文の理解が深められることが確かめられた。
