恋愛対象者に対する接触回避がどのように生じているかを分析した。大学生334名(男性126名,女性208名)が質問紙調査に参加した。調査では,恋愛対象者,同性友人,異性友人各1名を想起させ,8つの身体接触場面において,各人物との接触をどの程度回避したいかについて尋ねた。男女とも恋愛対象者に対しては,異性友人に比べて接触回避の程度を下げたが,この傾向は女性で顕著であった。女性は,異性友人に対して接触回避を高く保っているが,恋愛対象者に対しては大幅に回避を下げると考えられた。しかし,たとえ恋愛対象者であっても,恋愛対象者への接触回避は,同性友人への接触回避よりも低くならなかった。一方,男性は,同性友人,異性友人よりも,恋愛対象者への接触回避は低かった。接触回避が性的防衛の機能をもつ可能性が考察された。

Low-frequency earthquakes generally have relatively stronger spectral components in the lower frequency range, compared to what is expected based on their magnitude. This type of earthquakes has been considered to be generated in some specific environments, such as volcanic regions and subduction zones that are also generating slow slip events and tremors. They usually occur in deeper regions below ~ 15km; however, some recent studies show that they can also be observed among aftershocks of large inland earthquakes in Japan (i.e., Niigata in 2004, Iwate-Miyagi in 2008, Kumamoto in 2016) with very shallow depth (~5km). Here, we attempt to detect such ‘low frequency aftershocks’ associated with a very recent earthquake sequence that occurred in Ridgecrest in California in 2019 on the source of waveform data from Plate Boundary Observatory Borehole Networks and nearby instruments archived at NCEDC, SCEDC and IRIS. We are considering The Frequency Index (FI) as a way to identify candidate events. FI is defined as: FI = log10(AH/AL), where AH and AL represent the mean spectral amplitude within the high-frequency band (e.g., 10-15 Hz) and low-frequency band (e.g., 2-5 Hz), respectively. We will discuss our results and the methods used to identify low frequency aftershocks from their spectra.

今後の空港計画において航空機騒音は依然重要な検討要素で,首都圏空港では今後の容量拡大を検討するうえで騒音負担のあり方を十分に議論することが必要不可欠となる.一方で従来から市街地上空を飛行しながら発着している福岡空港では滑走路増設による容量拡大計画が検討されている.本研究では,福岡空港周辺住民を対象に質問紙調査およびヘッドホン面接調査を並行して行い,航空機騒音への受容意識に関わる要因構造の把握を試みた.質問紙調査では,航空機騒音への受容意識には騒音の直接的影響だけでなく,空港アクセス利便性重視意識等も影響を及ぼしていることを明らかにした.ヘッドホン面接調査では,これまで十分に考察されてきたとは言い難い個人ごとの屋内騒音レベルや騒音への敏感さが騒音への不快感に与える影響について考察した.

Generation mechanism of deep earthquakes in subduction slabs is still enigmatic. Through cross-correlation analysis of earthquakes in central Japan, we identify five pairs and one cluster of deep earthquakes showing strong waveform similarities (coherence > 0.9) for a 40-s time window at more than three stations. For those clusters, we relocate hypocenters by hypoDD, determine the focal mechanisms solutions, and carry out spectral analysis to estimate physical parameters of seismic ruptures (i.e., stress drop, radiated energy and efficiency). The obtained results show that some similar deep earthquakes in each cluster occurred at a slightly different spot on a single fault and have almost the same stress drop. The scaled energy and radiation efficiency of the groups precisely estimated from high-quality similar waveforms show that seismic parameters are significantly different between faults. A wide range of source parameters that have been reported for deep-focus earthquakes may not represent the differences in generation mechanisms of earthquakes but reflect the diversity of inherent fault frictional properties.

本稿は,1960年代から80年代までのアメリカのパブリック・アートの具体 的事例の検討をもとに,芸術の公共性についての一見解を得ることを目的と する。この時期のパブリック・アート事例としてとりわけ象徴的なのは,1981 年にニューヨークに設置されたリチャード・セラによる彫刻作品『傾いた弧』 である。本作品をめぐり撤去論争が巻き起こり,その後の連邦政府によるパ ブリック・アート政策に影響を与えた。本稿ではこの論争に注目し,一般市 民と作品との関わりの観点から,芸術の公共性について分析・考察を行う。

To assess the effectiveness of response strategies of avoiding large gatherings or crowded areas and to predict the spread of COVID-19 infections in Japan, we developed a stochastic transmission model by extending the Susceptible-Infected-Removed (SIR) epidemiological model with an additional modeling of the individual action on whether to stay away from the crowded areas. The population were divided into three compartments: Susceptible, Infected, Removed. Susceptible transitions to Infected every hour with a probability determined by the ratio of Infected and the congestion of area. The total area consists of three zones crowded zone, mid zone and uncrowded zone, with different infection probabilities characterized by the number of people gathered there. The time for each people to spend in the crowded zone is curtailed by 0, 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8 hours, and the time spent in mid zone is extended accordingly. This simulation showed that the number of Infected and Removed will increase rapidly if there is no reduction of the time spent in crowded zone. On the other hand, the stagnant growth of Infected can be observed when the time spent in the crowded zone is reduced to 4 hours, and the growth number of Infected will decrease and the spread of the infection will subside gradually if the time spent in the crowded zone is further cut to 2 hours. In conclusions The infection spread in Japan will be gradually contained by reducing the time spent in the crowded zone to less than 4 hours.

大判錦絵8枚揃の連作。芸術性の高さで広重(1797-1858)の代表作として知られる。「吾嬬杜夜雨」「羽根田落雁」「行徳帰帆」「玉川秋月」「小金井橋夕照」「芝浦晴嵐」「池上晩鐘」「飛鳥山暮雪」の八景が描かれている。初版は大盃堂呑桝という狂歌師とその連の注文制作品で欄外に「大盃堂開版」と刻記、各図中に3首ないし4首の狂歌を入れ、喜鶴堂(佐野屋喜兵衛)から刊行された。当館のものは後版で欄外の刻記は削除、狂歌は削除あるいは新しく入れ木により加えられるなど、各図1首ないし2首に変更されている。図中の極印(錦絵刊行に際しての検閲の印)の下に版元喜鶴堂「喜霍」の角丸方形朱印がある。この8枚揃は初版はもとより後版のものも遺品が少なく珍重される。

Objectives: The aim of the study was to investigate the number of workplace measures implemented to respond to the COVID-19 epidemic reported by employees and their association with company size and industry among employees in Japan. Methods: A cross-sectional online questionnaire survey was conducted of full-time employees in Japan from March 19–22, 2020. Questions were about announcements by the company of measures taken and 23 items of workplace measures. Associations of company size and industry with the announcements and the number of workplace measures were analyzed. Results: The final sample consisted of 1,379 respondents. The mean number of implemented preventive measures for COVID-19 among 23 items was 11.2 (standard deviation, 5.9). Proportions of respondents who reported receiving announcement of measures taken was high (79.9%), as were proportions of respondents reporting implementation of some of the workplace measures, while the less than half reported implementation of most of the workplace measures. The announcement of measures and the number of workplace measures that were implemented in the workplace were generally lower/smaller among respondents in smaller companies and in retail, wholesale, and transportation industries. Conclusions: While most respondents reported receiving information about measures by their companies/organizations, it may be a further challenge to implement workplace measures in smaller companies and companies in retail, wholesale, and transportation industries.

A role of environmental shear on the organization mode of warm-season quasi-stationary convective clusters (QSCCs) was statistically investigated by using operational weather radar and radiosonde data from May to October during 2005-2012. With the use of an ellipse-fitting method, the total number of QSCCs whose shape was determined was 2549. It was found that 87% of the QSCCs have an aspect ratio of larger than 1.4, suggesting that the elongated mode is dominant during the warm season in Japan. The elongated QSCCs were mostly oriented southwest–northeast. The analyses of the environmental shear direction with respect to the orientation of the elongated QSCCs showed that the wind shear direction at the lower troposphere is mainly parallel to the orientation of the elongated QSCCs. A comparison between the elongated and the circular QSCCs with the environmental parameters showed that the lower convective instability and stronger intensity of the low-level shear clearly characterize the elongated QSCC environments. A parameter combining convective instability and shear, bulk Richardson number, characterizes the environmental conditions for determining the organization mode of the QSCCs, suggesting that a back-building mechanism should play a role in generating the elongated QSCCs.

A patient with chest pain and inferoseptal ischemia at Rubidium-82 Positron Emission Tomography (82RbPET) was revascularized in a stenosis in the LAD/D1 bifurcation, while a CTO RCA was left untreated. One-year follow-up with Seattle Angina Questionnaire and repeat 82RbPET revealed symptom relief and improved inferoseptal perfusion likely through LAD collateralization.
