朝鮮半島が植民地であった当時、鉄道省管轄下の指定航路で、日本と朝鮮半島および満州を結ぶ日本の基幹路線であった、関釜連絡船以外の主要な連絡船としては、済州道と大阪を結ぶ<君が代丸>しかなかった。本論文では、<君が代丸>という船が、どのような船なのか、その歴史的実像を明らかにしたい。

「世界コンピュータ将棋選手権」(第 10 回までは「コンピュータ将棋選手権」)は 1990 年 12 月 2 日に第 1 回(1 日制)が開催され,その後,時期を少しずつ後ろにずらしたため1995年には行われていないが,継続的にほぼ年に 1 回ずつ開催され,2019 年 5 月 3日~5 日(3日制)には第 29回が開催された. 初期のころは上位入賞プログラムも弱いものであったが,2005 年ころから急速に強くなり,今日に至っている.ここでは,第16 回から第 20回までのコンピュータ将棋選手権で活躍したプログラムの実力を検証し,さらに人間プレ ーヤとの対局と今日への繋がりについて考察する.

本稿では、はじめに戦争花嫁のアメリカ社会への適応に関するこれまでの先行研究を吟味し、その分析枠組みを考察した。そして「エスニシティ(ethnicity)」を、場面、状況に応じて変化するプロセスとして考え、日本的価値観をもつ戦争花嫁の「エスニシティ」を基層にしっかり根をひろげたものとして捉えた。また移住先のアメリカの文化・社会・経済などといったものがどういう状況にあるのか、という外的要因である「コンテクスト(context)」を提示し、場面、場面での対応の「ストラテジー」について、われわれが実施した調査票調査やインタヴューの結果を通して分析した。我々の調査、研究を通し、戦争花嫁のアメリカ社会への適応を考える際に重要な要因となる戦争花嫁の価値観については、戦争花嫁の基底には「日本的価値観」があり、上層に文化変容を通して身につけた「欧米的価値観」があるとし、その中間層に場面や状況、テーマなどによって変化する第三層が存在する、という三重構造を、いくつかの事例を通し明らかにした。

Beliefs in the power of celestial bodies and ways of interpreting their meaning are found throughout the world. In this paper, traditional Western astrology is taken as an object of study and its relationship with quality of life, death, and destiny are explored. First, the historical process and environment in which Western astrology was formed are surveyed. Second, the basic theory of Western astrology is viewed through Ptolemy’s Tetrabiblos, which is regarded as the standard textbook of astrology from ancient times. Finally, the ethical and religious problems that the materialism of Western astrology has caused are discussed, such as the freedom of God and human beings, astrological fatalism, and the meaning of life.The horoscope of Western astrology, which is the birth chart of each person, has three fundamental components: planet, sign, and house. These three components determine all the dimensions of the life of that person. “Planet” includes the sun and moon, and it is said that these seven planets have productive or destructive power according to the mythological characters they are named after. “Sign” and “house” are particular areas of the zodiac and are derived by dividing the zodiac into twelve parts. Sign is the fixed area that starts from the spring equinoctial point, but house is the fluid area that starts from the ascendant, which is the rising point of the sun and changes everyday. It is believed the power of one’s planet adjusted by sign and house flows into each person and forms his or her whole life: parents, siblings, marriage, children, welfare, death, and length of life.

本稿は関東軍参謀として満洲事変を画策したことで知られる石原莞爾の対中国観を追う。石原は満洲事変を起こしたものの,後の日中戦争勃発にあたっては,陸軍参謀本部作戦部長という要職にあったにもかかわらず「不拡大」の立場で,その収拾あたった。そこに至る彼の思想的変遷を,特に対中国観という面から跡づける。若き頃より中国に対して並々ならぬ関心を抱いていた石原は,辛亥革命勃発の際にはその前途に希望を持ち,大きな喜びに震えた。ところがその後軍閥間の抗争に明け暮れる中国に失望し,中国人の政治能力に疑問を抱く。満洲事変直前には,来たるべき日米間の世界最終戦争の準備が必要で,日本が満蒙を領有し,その治安を守る,といった考えを構築する。満洲事変・満洲国建国の過程で,石原の中国人の政治能力に対する懐疑は解け,満蒙独立論に転化,日中平等の民族協和国家の建国を推進する。この民族協和政治の実現は協和会に期待し,満洲を去り参謀本部で自らの構想を提唱するが必ずしも理解されない。「日支平等」の考えを成長させ,東亜聯盟を提唱していく一方で,参謀本部作戦課長や戦争指導課長としてソ連の脅威にどう対処するかを考えざるを得ず,満洲国構想も東亜聯盟論もこの点で意味づけられた。すなわち満洲国-東亜聯盟を完成させ,国防を充実させソ連に対抗し,また日本国内の改造(昭和維新)が必要である,という方向へ向かうのである。

フィールドホッケーは,スティックと硬球を使って行う世界的に人気のあるスポーツである.フィールドホッケーの動作の中で,チームメイトへのパスとして最も基本的で一般的に使われる動作のうちの1つにプッシュという動作がある.プッシュ動作中,スティックにボールが接触してからリリースされるまでスティックがボールと接触している距離が長いと強くて速いプッシュを打てる.しかし,初心者が自分でスティックの接触点を知覚することは難しい.本研究では,プッシュの技術向上のためにスティックにボールが接触する位置の移動経路をリアルタイムに聴覚フィードバックするシステムを提案する.提案システムは,圧力センサの接触位置に応じてピッチの異なるフィードバック音を圧電スピーカによりリアルタイムで発生させる.2カ月間行った評価実験の結果,スティック上のボールの移動経路の平均距離は,聴覚フィードバックを行ったほうが,行わなかった場合よりも有意に長くなった.これにより,提案システムによる聴覚フィードバックの有効性を確認した.

Formalin is a main fixative in the field of pathology. Molecular biological analysis of formalin-fixed samples was difficult because formalin fixation decreased the quality of isolated DNA. Therefore, we compared the quality of DNA obtained by using DNA extraction kit (Sepa GeneR) to that using proteinase K. Using proteinase K, it was possible to extract high quality DNA, and obtain DNA from samples of 3 months fixative. Moreover, by proteinase K method, it was also possible to analyze aprataxin gene exon 5 in DNA extraction from formalin-fixed human brain tissues from a suspected case of early-onset ataxia with ocular motor apraxia and hypoalbuminemia (EAOH). The aprataxin gene exon 5 DNA sequences were obtained following in vitro gene amplification using nested-PCR. Mutation on aprataxin gene exon5 was not observed in the suspected case of EAOH; however, it was possible to perform sequence analysis of aprataxin gene exon5. This method was more useful for DNA extraction and direct sequencing of formalin-fixation samples than the kit method.

The Hanryu boom-strong interest in South Korean pop culture-has been rapidly expanding in many Asian countries since the late 1990s. Several years later, Japan was also witness to the Hanryu boom. The boom in Japan further advanced owing to the popular Korean soap opera “Winter Sonata,"which was first broadcast on NHK in 2003. Gradually, since the media attention decreased, the Korean craze died down in the past few years; however,the popularity of South Korean pop culture seems to have a strong hold in Japan.This study examines how people evaluated the Hanryu boom and whether the increased popularity of South Korean pop culture contributed to improvement in the Japanese perceptions of and attitudes toward South Korea.To address these research questions, we conducted a sampling survey from November to December 2006. One thousand Tokyo residents aged between 20 and 74 years were randomly selected from a Tokyo poll-book that listed all electorates. Each resident was sent a questionnaire by mail; 367 effective questionnaires were returned.Results show that respondents made relatively balanced judgments regarding the Hanryu boom. While many respondents thought that the Hanryu boom contributed to improvement in the relations between Japan and South Korea and advanced cultural exchange between the two countries, they also regarded the boom to have certain negative aspects. More than 60% of the respondents felt that the Japanese media reported the Hanryu boom in an exaggerated manner, and about 20% said that it put unresolved political issues, such as different historical perceptions between the two countries, on the backburner.The results reveal that many respondents still consider South Korea as a closed and traditional society, although they also regard it as an economic power. With regard to the influence of the Hanryu boom, the data shows that about 36% of the viewers of Korean TV dramas/movies developed a more positive perception of Korea.In addition, a multiple regression analysis

17世紀以後の韓国社会、当時の朝鮮王朝は、都市の発達に伴って近代的な初期資本主義社会へと徐々に移行していく。朝鮮王朝において封建社会の基盤を成していた身分制度と地主制度を中心に、その崩壊の過程について考察する。また朝鮮時代後期の社会変動に伴い、伝統仮面劇「タルチュム」の世界にどのような変化が生じたかを分析する。厳格な身分制度のもと長い間抑圧されていた民衆意識は、封建社会の解体とともに目覚め、成長していく。その過程でタルチュムの世界においても、地域限定的・閉鎖的な構造を持つ農村型タルチュムから、演戯地域や参加者の面で開放的な構造を持つ都市型タルチュムへと変貌していくことになる。つまりタルチュムは農村の祭儀から民衆芸能へと変容し、現在のタルチュムとほぼ同一の形態を持つ「都市タルチュム」が成立するのである。
