本稿では、大正作家に対するハーンの影響力が最も顕著に現れた例として佐藤春夫を取り上げ、まずは春夫の直接的な言及からそのハーン観を観察する。次にデビュー作「田園の憂鬱」と翻訳「孟沂の話」を取り上げ、ハーンの思想や文学手法が春夫の創作活動にどう活かされたかをより具体的に検証することで、第一書房版『邦訳小泉八雲全集』(1926-1928)刊行以前の近代日本文学におけるハーン受容の一端を明らかにしてみたい。

Dolphins in a captive environment are exposed to various kinds of stresses. Handling and transportation are stressful events for terrestrial mammals, and such stress may affect immune system function and increase susceptibility to infectious diseases. The same phenomenon could occur in dolphins, however, few studies have reported this in dolphins. The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship between stress and polymorphonuclear (PMN) cell function of dolphins during transportation. Four bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) were transported for 6 hr by truck. Serum cortisol levels, leukograms, phagocytosis, and superoxide production of PMN cells were evaluated during handling and transportation compared to resting values. The mean serum cortisol level was significantly increased during handling and transportation (p<0.05) when compared with the resting values. White blood cell (WBC) counts, eosinophil counts, phagocytosis, and superoxide production of PMN cells during handling and transportation stages decreased significantly in comparison with the resting stage (p<0.05). The concentration of serum cortisol was significantly correlated with the results of the WBC counts, eosinophil counts, superoxide production, and phagocytosis (p<0.01, p<0.05, p<0.05, and p<0.001, respectively). The present results indicate that handling and transportation are stressful events for dolphins and could affect their PMN cell functions, thereby leading to the impairment of the immune system.

近年、様々な手段により料理のレシピを手に入れることができる。しかし膨大なレシピ数の中からユーザーの好みの料理を選ぶのは難しく、結果口にあわないことが起きてしまう。同様に複数の酒や飲料から作るカクテルも組み合わせが膨大であるため、満足しない結果が起こってしまう。そこでユーザーにとって有益な情報を提供するためにレシピ情報から味を推定する。本研究では、一般の料理よりもレシピが単純であるカクテルに注目し、カクテルに関する事前知識を必要とせずに、機械学習を用いて約2200種類のカクテルレシピからカクテルの味を推定する。

Several case reports of patients with both moyamoya syndrome (MMS) and antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) have been published. However, the relationship between MMS and APS has not been clarified. We herein report a patient with MMS who had an ischemic stroke with rapid worsening of stenosis of the middle cerebral artery associated with APS. The patient was triple-positive for antiphospholipid antibodies. Patients with MMS complicated by APS should be closely followed up with vascular imaging.

本稿では、戦略転換 (strategic change) における企業の持つ既存事業での歴史とそれに対する意思決定者の認識がどのように影響するのかを検討した。日本のウイスキービジネスを対象に、異なるバックグラウンドを持つ企業3 社の運営する蒸留所を調査した。それにより、それぞれの事例において既存事業での活動の歴史が戦略転換に影響を与えることは共通していながら、既存事業との関係の認識の違いにより、何をアイデンティティの源泉とし、差別化しようとするのかについては違いが生じることを明らかにした。

Robotics intersects with children in diverse ways; it opens new scientific research fields of understanding humans with collaborating with psychologies and other related fields. At the same time, it is expected to offer useful applications for early childhood education and therapy. But, it has to be recognized that the robotics technology could be a double-edged sword, meaning that it could be hazardous if we did not exploit it in appropriate ways. Robots are thought to have double character; sometimes they show human-like features but other times they just look like an object. We need to understand the character well and consider appropriate forms of application based on the character. In this paper, firstly we will review the past studies around robotics and children, and we will also discuss the potential risk of robotics for children. Then, we will propose some new ideas for the application of robotics for early childhood education and therapy, considering the double character of robots.

This report introduces teaching materials to learn collocations of the type which consist of a noun, a particle and a verb. 120 nouns chosen among those of the levels 1 and 2 of the old JLPT are divided into 20 topics. To make a list of collocations for each noun, some verbs with high frequency and variations of use were selected and examples with typical modification are shown. In addition, two kinds of exercise help to check the meaning and the usage of collocations. A blended learning approach using ICT will be developed in the future.

The impact of environmental thought among Nazis has not always been considered with relation to the German Environmental Movement thus far. One of the causes of this is related to the influence of the 1970s. The seventies had a major impact on environmental thought. For example, Stone, Naess, and Singer were active at that time. Therefore, I believe that environmental thought before the 1970s has been underestimated. However, many studies show that the laws for the protection of nature during the Nazi Regime were in fact relatively advanced. Furthermore, the Green Party in Germany today is influenced by Anthroposophy. This paper examines the impact of environmental thought among Nazis on the German environmental movement.
