家具の歴史をさかのぼろうとすれば,それはメソポタミアで,最古の文明をつくったとされるシュメール人達が,すでに粘土でつくった腰掛にすわっていたようであるから,紀元前3000年〜4000年までさかのぼることができるようである。木製家具が造られるようになったのは,かなり後になってからであるが,それでもローマ時代には権力の象徴としての玉座があり,庶民的生活用具として素朴な木製椅子が用いられていた,と考えられる。以来ロマニック,ゴシック,ルネサンス,バロック,そして華麗さにおいてその頂点といわれるロココスタイル,即ち16世紀から17世紀前半を界として次第にシンプルナイズされて来る。そして19世紀末にはモダニズムが台頭して来るといった具合に,家具はインテリアデザインと相まって何時の時代にも建築文化とともに歩んで来た,といえる。しかし,ここでは古典について長々と解説するつもりはない。今世紀,即ち近代家具が世界的にどのような動きを示したか,について私が1963年から67年までの家具研究のための滞欧生活,そしてその後十数年間家具製造業を営みながら,毎年数度の海外旅行によって得た経験から,世界の家具について特徴的活動を地域,あるいは人物によって追跡してみようと試みたものである。

宗教における修行と身体の問題は、さまざまな形で論じられてきた。本論では、これらの問題を信と知、信と行、精神と身体などの枠組みにおいて概観してから、湯浅泰雄の修行論としての身体論を取り上げる。湯浅の修行論の特徴は、東洋的修行の本質を身心一如に見出していることである。このような観点を一つの準拠枠としながら、修行の視点から西行の釈教歌の分析を試みる。そして、心と月と西の概念を手がかりとして、西行の宗教的な自然観を浮き彫りにする。西行は、桜の花と月に魅了された生涯を送ったが、月には仏教的な意味づけの世界があり、とりわけ月輪観という密教的な瞑想法と密接な関係がある。本論では、このような月のイメージがさまざまな釈教歌においてさまざまな展開を見せていることを明らかにする。

The damage by typhoon "NABI" in 2005 was greater in Miyazaki Prefecture than elsewhere. Cultural properties in museums and various other places suffered. We rescued heavily damaged photographs from two homes in Nobeoka City. While such photographs document individual life stories, they are also a resource that enables us to reconstruct local history. Such reconstruction of the past may help strengthen both individual identities as well as the regional cultural identities. Our conservation of the photographs involved various processes including using a freeze-drying machine. In carrying out these conservation efforts, we designed a workflow procedure for cultural resource disaster relief.

生物の脳は, 現在のコンピューターでは実現できないような高度の情報処理能力を示す.神経回路モデルを中介としてそのメカニズムを探り, 新しい情報処理装置の設計原理を見いだそうとするバイオサイバネティクス研究が注目されている.このような研究の結果, 高度のパターン認識能力と学習能力をもつ新しいパターン認識方式「ネオコグニトロン」が生まれた.

The target in computer has been changing from the numerical forms to the symbolic forms, which we human-being are more familiar with. Recently A. I. is studied as the central technique of computer science. In the near future Artificial Sense is thought to be studied as what follows A. I. This paper describes "Listening to the music", as an approach to Artificial Sense. When we have an end to simulate human-like process, signal processing and knowledge processing have to be concatenated. In this paper, the process "Listening to the music" is considered from three major stages ; transcription, analyzing music and understanding music. In the stage of transcription, the notes are extracted as symbol from acoustic signal. In the stage of analyzing music, the structures as melody, rhythm, chord progression are analyzed from the extracted symbol of the notes. In the stage of understanding music, the sentiments are extracted by the rules which describe the relation between the sentiment and the structure extracted in analyzing stage. This paper presents how machine gets the sentiments listening to the music performance.

From the perspectives of interdependence theory and sociometer theory, we tested the hypothesis that greater costs of relationship loss lead to heightened sensitivity to rejection cues and to increased motivation to behave in more relationship-constructive ways. We conducted a questionnaire study in which 319 undergraduates listed activities they shared with their closest same-sex friend and indicated how they would feel and behave if they were rejected. As predicted, a greater amount of shared activities with a friend led individuals to experience stronger negative self-relevant feelings following imaginary rejection by that friend, which in turn generally promoted relationship-constructive behaviors (and inhibited relationship-destructive ones). The results suggest that state self-esteem effectively functions as a relationship maintenance mechanism.

現在の計算機時計システムは、ある時点からの経過時間を内部に持つことで構成されている。分散環境で高精度に時刻/周波数同期を行なった場合、この内部に持っている経過時間をUTCに同期させることは、UTCを必要とするAPにとっては不可欠である。しかし、他のAPにとってはうるう秒処理によって、得られる時刻間に逆転が生じたり、計測時間に誤りを生じ、致命的な事態を引き起こす場合がある。このことは同期処理、同期タイミングの違いによっても生じる。本発表では、様々な時刻の性質を必要とするAPが存在することを考慮した、計算機時計システムについて考察する。

日本物理教育学会近畿支部の「新理科教育プログラム創造委員会」では,昨年,小学校・中学校の教員を対象にアンケート調査を行い,教育課程改訂の方向性について分析を行った。また,大阪府高等学校理化教育研究会では,「小・中・高理科教育課程に関する懇談会」を毎年開催し,より望ましい教育課程の在り方について意見交換を行っている。これらの調査結果や懇談会での意見から,次期教育課程に対して教育現場で望まれていることを集約するとともに,最近の様々な動向を踏まえて,今後の教育課程行政の在り方について私見を述べる。
